The squash blossoms were exquisite. I'm still thinking about them. The meat was also very good. I personally didn't care for the multiple sauce options we chose and preferred the meat solo -- where she truly shined. Our other sides/apps were all well executed but not necessarily standout. Everything is beautifully curated and quite fancy. This was in stark contrast to the ambiance. Apparently, the restaurant is in two sections. We were sat in a more casual section right in front of the meat locker. I suppose that's a vibe in itself but it felt a bit off. And, while my friends enjoyed eating the steak, they did not want to look at it. So, while they sat with their backs to it I got to stare at it all meal long. Hence 4 vs 5 stars. If that sort of thing matters to you - make sure to request the upscale section or outside for your reservation!

Had a great meal at Butchery & Wine in July when my best friend and I were in Warsaw. While it wasn't a unique dining experience like we had at some other Michelin star spots, it was a very solid meal. We ended up eating outside, and we ordered a bit differently than we usually do. We wanted to try more items, so we split a rib eye as well as a mixed salad, the foie gras appetizer, and the steak tartare. The staff was nice enough to plate the rib eye halves separately for us, which was unexpected. The steak tartare was the standout for me, both with presentation and taste. Check the pics because words won't do it justice.

This is my 3rd visit to butchery and wine and the meal remains perfect. It remains one of the best steaks I have ever eaten! Perfectly seasoned with a great crust and the perfect temperature. The peppercorn sauce and garlic makes every bite phenomenal and asking for more. Regardless of how busy they are, the staff is very attentive and the level of engagement doesn't interrupt any discussions you are having. The setting displays the various wine racks and great mood lighting and music. I highly recommend if you have a chance to visit Warsaw, you come have a meal at Butchery and wine. You will not be disappointed and you may have the best steak of your life!

They have two separate buildings across from each other with one better for groups and brunch, but I like to just sit at the bar and order their burger.

Pros: steaks seasoned perfectly, extensive wine list Cons: - The first thing you need to be aware is that this is a higher-end restaurant. It was mentioned in the Michelin guide in 2018 for quality and service, and the menu prices reflect these higher standards. If you're looking for a good steak (Polish or otherwise in origin, I saw American and Canadian) served with a proper sauce and wine, this is your place. Their madeira sauce is sublime, definitely worth ordering. We had a New York strip and a ribeye, both Polish, accompanied with two glasses of wine. The check run us shy of 300 ZŁ, so beware. This is not your American Outback or Longhorn. Of course, you'll be able to tell in the quality of the meat, seasoning and cooking that the flavor of the beef really is at a different level. I'm taking a star off because one of the steaks was ordered medium well and it seemed more medium or even a tad medium rare. We decided not to send it back.

Plum soup with yogurt ice cream

Butchery & Wine came with accolades from various international publications and tastemakers and it did not disappoint. We started with the pumpkin soup which had a wonderful truffle aroma and a crazy creamy texture. My bavette steak with confit shallots and chips was equally enjoyable. The biggest surprise of the meal, though, was the plum soup with yogurt ice cream. It arrived looking unremarkable but its taste was unlike any other I've tried - an excellent balance of sweet and sour. Sort of like sipping a bowl of fresh plums with bites of tart frozen yogurt in between. Butchery & Wine provided one of the more memorable meals I had whilst in Warsaw. If you're looking for a nice date spot with warm lighting and well-executed fare, this is it.

Random find when exploring Warsaw on a beautiful spring day. Delicious food, great service - and a sunny afternoon outlook. What's not to like? As a solo traveller I sat at the bar and ordered a Butchers Negroni. Bitter and deep, a perfect start to the meaty fest I was planning. Great looking menu to work from, with prices that genuinely surprised me (even more so when the food arrived). Great value with no compromise in quality. The steak tartare was appetiser size and had all the marks of a good tartare: cut meat, zesty seasonings and a pert little quail's egg yolk perched on top. A glass of house red got me moving into the follow up: the roasted bone marrow. Generous portions of bone, full of deliciously rich marrow with a tart parsley salad on the side. Easily shared, this dish plus the tartare was more than enough for me. If I ever return to Warsaw I'll be sure to visit this place again.

I recently went to Warsaw on a business trip and had the pleasure of having a nice dinner at the Butchery & Wine. I ordered Foie Gras parfait with red onion marmalade, steak, Poland dry aged for 28 days, and cream brûlée for dessert. The Foie Gras was too rich to my liking this I didn't finish it. The steak was perfect, exactly to the medium well I ordered. The cream brûlée was wonderful too. I gave this restaurant 5 star because of the food, its atmosphere and the services they provided. The setting was very enjoyable and the service was excellent.

The best meat I have ever eaten ! I tried the 28 days matured beef and it's definitly worth it ! Tasty, fat and perfectly cooked ! It was particularly good and very tender in mouth. As for the wine, I was just suprised by the price of the glass. I found it a little bit expensive. 100% recommended anyway !

Butchery & Wine deserves a solid 5 stars in my opinion. The experience was excellent in every way. Food: I can divide this in two sections. a) Meat lovers paradise. High quality meat, probably the best I have seen in Warsaw. Reasonable portions, different cuts for everyone, cooked to perfection. b) Vegetarian/others. Thankfully for us there's also amazing options. Warm beetroot salad with goat cheese was outstanding; pumpkin cream supreme. Drinks: excellent wine assortment, red, white, sparkling and dessert. Selected list with an option every taste and budget. Wine by the glass is offered in 150ml presentation, and superb quality wine in 75ml and 150ml to accommodate to your preferences. Cocktails and other beverages also available upon request. Service: impeccable, easy going, friendly. Waitress uniform consists of jeans and white shirt with logo. Definitely a down to earth restaurant. No need to wear a jacket or dress if you don't wish to. Ambience: casual, friendly. Soft ambience music in the back. Easy to keep a conversation with your friends. Plenty of space between tables. On the same street (Żurawia) you may find the original restaurant, and a few meters after the new restaurant as an extension. You have better chances to find a table available now! Overall, Butchery & Wine is an exemplary restaurant. Reservation is highly recommended. Well done !!

The best place for a steak and a good glass of wine in Warsaw? Butchery & Wine is the answer. Prices are fantastically low and it deserves the Bib Gourmand. Steaks and wines are the main selling point here and they're doing good with it. Our ribeye was large, cooked medium-rare and full of deliciousness. The bearnaise sauce was well-made too, although a little small-ish in size. The thick-cut chips were outstanding, while the mixed salad was on point with a good vinaigrette. Our red wine - a Merlot from Bulgaria - was surprisingly good despite its origin. Everything was absolutely good here, although we missed a little more friendly and smiling service. It did not ruin the food - it was beyond amazing.

    Amazing T-bone!!
    Bård A.

Went here because of several recomandations from varies website and the Michelin guide. We were not dissapointed. We were 6 and startet right on the entrees. Two of us had the rib eye, two hade the fillet, and me and the last one had the t-bone. I tasted everything, and it was cooked to perfection!! The sides was also really good. We had the potatoes, green beans and spinach, and bernaise and green pepper sauce. I really cant complain on anything, except it was big portions so I got really full. The somelier recomended some good wines, and the prosecco vas crisp and good. For dessert we couldnt decide, so we went for 3 out of 4. Strawberrys with whipped cream - you can never go wrong with fresh strawberrys! The creme brûlèe with rasberry coulis was a good combo, and the varm chocolate fondant is to die for! All in all a really good steak house with reasonable prices, good for dates or a dinner with friends!

Wow am I glad we found this place! Take the opportunity to splurge! Everything we had was superb! Foie gras a little to much but that is me. Do not at any circumstances order the meat any other way than recommended. I asked for a little more well and even if it still was very good - I regretted doing that. I could see why it should be done their way. The bread was so yummy! Go all in - starter, main and dessert with wine to go with each dish. Absolutely fabulous! We ended up the chocolate dessert with splendid rhum. Everything at an very mych affordable price! Server was super nice and professional. We dropped in during early afternoon, when no reservation was needed. Ask for password for wifi. They accept AMEX.

For a weeknight, they were packed! Also, the entrance is tucked away from the main street. Look for and follow the sign to lead you to the entrance. The first thing you see as you entered the restaurant is bottles and bottles of wine on the shelves. I really can't tell you the overall space because I felt like I went from one room to another, pass the kitchen, through another room and was seated in a small room with about 6 or 7 tables. It's almost like a maze. I can tell most of the patron are locals. Friends meeting after work for drinks and a quick bite to eat. I know I'm in the right place :-) The menu is small and seasonal with the intention to order/taste every dish because the portion is small too. We started off with Bulion, which is a broth soup with duck dumplings. It was delicious and savory. The ginger in the broth soup warmed my stomach. It was exactly what I needed for our first night in Warsaw. According to other yelpers, we have to order the beef tartare. I'm not big on raw beef but it tasted better than I expected. The beef tartare is served on top of potato pancake. The potato sort of mellow out the raw meat taste. Great presentation! Chicken Liver Parfait served on a buttermilk bread was probably my favorite dish. I know liver is not for the faint of heart, but when it's done right, it's chef kiss! Chicken liver is incredibly good for us and a nutrient-dense superfood packed with protein and vitamins. I wish I can see more dishes like this served in the states. Foie Gras sales and production is strictly restricted in most states. We just have to try it whenever we are in Europe. YOLO! It's rich and buttery and served on a even more buttery brioche. Very filling. Skrei was a fish dish that we should of skipped. It was served on a big pile of foam and herbs with very little fish (see pic.). It's something I expect at a high end 13 course tasting menu, not at a wine bar. We each had a glass of Badenhorst Family White Wine. It wasn't the best I had but it works for the occasion. Tips: Service is slow and that's just how the European roll. Be patience and enjoy the view and take in the moment that you're in Poland! They charge for water and 10% service charge.
