I had the dry aged Polish ribeye with cream spinach and chanterelles . Nice wine list. I couldn't get enough. even though i was stuffed, I went with the crème brûlée, which had a nice raspberry coulis. The table next to me was a group of bankers. This is my 3rd visit to butchery and wine and the meal remains perfect. It remains one of the best steaks I have ever eaten! Perfectly seasoned with a great crust and the perfect temperature. The peppercorn sauce and garlic makes every bite phenomenal and asking for more. What an experience. I've been here twice now and I am serious when I say the appetizers are incredible. There was a much larger selection this last time I visited. The first time I came I had scallops with a pea sauce and it was so good.. so this time I stuck with scallops but this time it was served with grilled pears and blood sausage. Great looking menu to work from, with prices that genuinely surprised me (even more so when the food arrived). Great value with no compromise in quality. The steak tartare was appetiser size and had all the marks of a good tartare: cut meat, zesty seasonings and a pert little quail's egg yolk perched on top. A glass of house red got me moving into the follow up: the roasted bone marrow. Generous portions of bone, full of deliciously rich marrow with a tart parsley salad on the side. I ordered Foie Gras parfait with red onion marmalade, steak, Poland dry aged for 28 days, and cream brûlée for dessert. The Foie Gras was too rich to my liking this I didn't finish it. The dry aged ribeye (4.5/5) was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The fries were also great - though more British chips than French fries. High quality meat, probably the best I have seen in Warsaw. Reasonable portions, different cuts for everyone, cooked to perfection. b) Vegetarian/others. Definitely a down to earth restaurant. No need to wear a jacket or dress if you don't wish to. Ambience: casual, friendly. Soft ambience music in the back. The best place for a steak and a good glass of wine in Warsaw? Butchery & Wine is the answer. Prices are fantastically low and it deserves the Bib Gourmand. Steaks and wines are the main selling point here and they're doing good with it. Our ribeye was large, cooked medium-rare and full of deliciousness. The bearnaise sauce was well-made too, although a little small-ish in size. The thick-cut chips were outstanding, while the mixed salad was on point with a good vinaigrette. Our red wine - a Merlot from Bulgaria - was surprisingly good despite its origin. Everything was absolutely good here, although we missed a little more friendly and smiling service. Went here because of several recomandations from varies website and the Michelin guide. We were not dissapointed. We were 6 and startet right on the entrees. Two of us had the rib eye, two hade the fillet, and me and the last one had the t-bone. I tasted everything, and it was cooked to perfection!! The sides was also really good. We had the potatoes, green beans and spinach, and bernaise and green pepper sauce. I really cant complain on anything, except it was big portions so I got really full. Really glad I selected this spot as its a hip gastro steakhouse that would fit into any trendy neighborhood. Almost everything we had was not only tasty, incredibly fresh but also a great value. Parfait foie gras was great and literally the size of a big scoop of ice cream. Japanese waygu was a decent value but probably the low point. French fries were amazing. Somehow tasted like the greasy aftertaste of a Mcdonalds fry (in a good way) with a crunch and pure potato that was simply one of the best fries I've had outside of Belgium. For two people I would start at 600g+ Foie Gras, Grilled octopus and Beef Tartare are great selections for starters. Wine selection is amazing and the last time I came I ordered the Syrah, from Rock Garden, Charles Smith, Walla Walla Valley 2012. So, I was today at Butchery and Wine. To be honest, the meat is excellent! Really. I had a steak with spinach, a potatoe and truffle cream (did not take a pic, because I already saw it here). To the dish: The meat itself was excellent. Very soft, smell better than I expected. The wine was also very good. We took a glas of Tempranillo and Barolo, both very good and suited to our dishes. The salad with grilled beetroot and goatchees was excellent. All ingredients suited and had their own taste. There was no such a thing like everything tastes the same (which I had in some other places). For desert we had a chocolate fondant with rasperry mouse and vanilla cream. So the fondant was delicious, but it was not excellent which was tried to hide with a huge coat of chocolate sauce on the top of the fondant. The rasperry mouse was ok as well as the vanilla cream. But even the vanilla cream was made out of real vanilla it was a little tasteless. My partner convinced me to try some coffe, so I did and knew immediatelly why I refused to order some. First of all the waitress did not know what kind of coffe they are serving, she had to check. Then she came back and said its 100% arrabica from central america. Well, for me very disappointig that it was first of all that blend, because it was way too sour. So robusta was missing, especially to that kind of desert. Second, when I tried to explain, why I miss robusta and how it tastes and what kind of values it has, there came the typical polish mentality reaction: "It is not my fault, I did not choose the coffee we serve here." Not only that she was not able to name the countries, she took it personally. When polish waiters will understand that it's not about fault, it's about exchanging opinions, ideas, to educate. And because he or she is the waiter, he or she is the person to talk for the client, not the chef or manager itself. And as I pay attantion to details I noticed that they have such nice things like there wine corner, so that you can take a look at your wines and champagnes (checked even the temperature, was ok) :) The books all over the place really suit there and make the place more interessting. Even the meat dryer was nice to see. Two big minus: The frames where there are all the certificates of michelin and so one weren't hanging straigt (does not show much respect). Second: The webside menue is not up to date. That's a no go. Four stars, because the meat was really good, the wine too. The rest was half hearted treated. Pitty. read more

4.5 stars. Ate here 3 nights of the 2 weeks I was in Warsaw. I love a good steak and Butchery and WIne didn't disappoint. Twice I got the filet with black truffles and wine demi glace which also came with spinach and a potato. The 3rd time I got the 28 day Polish rib eye. Meat was always cooked perfectly and how I asked for it, rare! I am more of a beer girl but 2 of the nights I had wine here and let my coworkers make the selections. No complaints. Oh, the bread they give you is delicious, so fresh and fluffy in the middle and crisp on the outside! Prices are definitely more than you would spend almost anywhere else in Warsaw but it is still a great value for travelers, a meal like this would be double the price at home in NY. And I feel like they actually deliver so the prices are justified. My only complaint is that I really don't feel like you need a reservation ahead of time but if you don't have one they might turn you away even if it's empty. (we were 50/50 with this) The first time I was by myself and they seated me but told me I could only stay 1.5 hrs (um, that is way longer than I planned to be there!) The fois gras with condiments tasted rich and nice to a glass of sauternes though the size of the portion could have been smaller. Scallops appetizer also very good. The chateaubriand for two is the dish that makes you come back. Its a load of about 900 g of filé served in a big bowl cooked tou your liking and served with 3 sauces and fries. The steak has been perfect both times ive been there and compared to some of the best steaks i have had in europe and the us this is among them. The bearnaise , pepper and red wine sauces are all great as well as the large in house fries. First time i was there we had a lovely waitress and the servicelevel was great. The last time the service was not bad but not with a smile but maybe the girl just had a bad day wich can happen to all of us. Prices are not bad for the food though it is expensive for the city, Chateaubriand for two is about 45 € and for a 3 course dinner with wine and dessertwine the total bill came to 150 €. First I'm very glad this place exists. There has always been a lack of good steak places in Warsaw and excepting a few hockey pucks I've had in the old days I'd all but given up. B&W makes me happy. First, the good: The foie gras is amazing. Truly unique and very tasty. We also loved the tuna tartare. The Greek salad was a Greek salad. The service, once we got the right waiter, was excellent. One of the waiters was a big annoyed at all things to do with us customers but we were moved to a new station and all was well. Finally the lamb dish was amazing. Great presentation and the little sausage they served with it could have been an appetizer in itself. Now, the bad: The steak I ate was the Uruguayan New York Strip. It was dry and not well seared and slightly over medium-rare. It tasted fine at first but as I moved past the wet/uncrisp edges I had to salt constantly. I've had good steaks. This was so-so. Again, I won't say this is a bad place. They know what's up and they are clearly making an important contribution to the culinary culture of Warsaw. I could have had a better steak elsewhere but probably not in in Poland. It was good, not amazing, and at about 500zl for four people including a bottle of wine and an acceptable creme brûlée I'm not complaining. There were plenty of people in the restaurant on a monday night - most of them business dinner types - so it's clear that they're bringing folks in.
