Amazing restaurant, great communication, super-friendly staff, personal approach, delicious food…read more Very close friends of mine got engaged during one of the beautiful sunsets in Lanzarote. They are beautiful couple and I just simple wanted to surprise them and celebrate with them over a dinner via FaceTime. I have never been to Lanzarote, I had no idea how delivery system works over there but I felt determined. Not easy task, hustling in NYC, 5 times zones away, I was afraid of language barriers, payment methods, but mostly - I had only 9 hours to make it happen. But everything is possible, especially if you are surrounded by the right people. In our case I didn't have to be surrounded by them or even to know them. By recommendation I found V-Factor. As being vegan myself, I made my choice quickly. I sent them message over messenger and I got respond almost immediately. Language wasn't barrier at all, we had some problems to solve, but the staff got so excited about this special occasion that they found solutions to everything. Let's cut to the case. I let it up to Mitrix to choose the right menu for my friends. And Mitrix did great job. This is what you can see on the picture and what made my carnivore friends fall in love with vegan food. Appetizers: VIG "Vurger" - a lot of vegetable such as courgette (zucchini), aubergine (eggplant), with guacamole, hummus and vegan mayo Aubergine with parmesan cheese and sugar cane molasses Salad with tomato, courgette, lettuce, mushrooms and tofu Main dishes: "Barquillas" with red beans, vegan "sobrasada" and seitan Wraps with "sobrasada", parmesan cheese and sugar cane molasses "MeatValls" with rice noodles and homemade tomato sauce. Desserts: Chocolate cake, chocolate vegan pancakes (what a hit), soy yogurt with homemade red fruits jam and nuts. Klara and Petr are not vegans, but guess what. They loved the food so much, they decided to visit the restaurant in person couple days later to try another vegan treats. They told me they enjoyed restaurant's hipster environment as much as the food and they are giving it 5*. I also want to highlight professionality and kindness of a driver who delivered the food from Arrecife to Playa Honda, he was very sweet and he definitely made the surprise for my friend even more special. You can tell they do business by heart. This is what happens when people do what they like to do. I can't wait to meet them and thank them in person, to hug them. Experience with this restaurant makes me believe that good people exist. I am not sure, if it has something to do with being Vegan and thinking about the world differently, but I am more and more excited about Vegan community. Thank you V-Factor, thank you Mitrix, for your love and passion!

Absolutely amazing restaurant! I felt in love. First of all…read morethe food is really amazing. I had their menu (three courses) which was recommended to me from waiter. Menu was including tea/coffe. Waiter was really nice, he described what menu contains and asked me for some additional questions. I felt he really loves what he is doing. I got starter - cucumber rolls with chorizo cream/spread, avocado and pepper. Main food was omellete. It was from polenta with peanuts, vinegar, pepper, salad and some spice. The desert was pudding with "biskoty" and chocolate. All three courses was amazing and the service too. PS: My GF ordered for newly engaged friends food from USA with delivery and the restaurant was amazing and the couple was really surprised and even they are not vegans they loved the food.

Warning: DO NOT LEAVE THE ISLAND without eating at Son Son. It's mandatory. No, seriously, I've…read moremade a law based around this and if you do, I'll find you and smack you about the chops. No trip to Fuerteventura where my parents live is complete without an epic meal at Son Son, and it's one of my absolute favourite places to eat. Decked out like a 1950s-style diner, it's situated in the heart of capital city Puerto del Rosario and it supports the benchmark by which I judge many Canarian eateries - if it's full of locals, it's good. Skip the tourist resort trap and head here with haste. You shan't regret it. Continuing the 1950s theme, the food consists of fries, mountainous bocadillos, hamburgers, croissant sandwiches and perrito calientes (hot dogs) served on crusty bread. My advice is to get a painful hunger on, bring some folks here and share a plate of papas fritas with alioli. Seriously, these things come out so hot and fresh... and they're already laden with salt. Note: fear of salt content has yet to reach the Canaries. Just look up the recipe for patatas arrugadas and you'll get my drift. Your fries will come with cute little plastic forks, and as for the rest of the menu, it's small and perfectly formed. There are many sandwiches to choose from - the regular sandwiches come on that classic Spanish Bimbo bread, sometimes crustless, toasted over a griddle. Bocadillos come on large fresh crusty rolls. Whatever you order, if there's the option of 'especial', TAKE IT. A sandwich or hot dog especial will cost no more than a regular and is heaped with salad, vegetables, a fried egg, cheese and probably even more. Things I've had here that I've adored have been the sandwich vegetal integral (a tuna, salad and all the trimmings sandwich on griddled wholemeal bread), the bocadillo con tortilla gambas (a crusty roll with a thick prawn omelette) and a soft cold sandwich made with prawns and avocado. The prawns you'll experience certainly aren't your regular boring Marie Rose tiny tiddlers, although they do use the sauce liberally. These are massive juicy things, rather like tiger prawns. My mum loves the pollo especial made with shredded chicken, the other half was very keen on his club sandwich with bacon overload and my dad's tried loads and has yet to be disappointed. A warning to veggies: Fuerteventura might not be too kind to you, but give it a chance - one bite of a bocadillo con tortilla patatas (Spanish omelette sandwich made with potato and onions) and you'll feel very at home. I know this from when I had my temporary aversion to fish. They serve alcohol here like most cafés in Rosario, and if you've room for dessert you can pick out a sundae or milkshake made with Kalise ice cream, one of the best named brands here. Then there's the juicer which pulps any kind of fruit you can think of, fresh and zingy. Anything else? Try adding awesome service, stonking coffee, food coming out faster than you can say 'I'm starving' and being criminally cheap to boot... yes, now you can see why I made that law. Abide!
