I had always had my insurance with State Farm up until 2019. In an effort to save a few dollars I went to Allstate. I never was able to speak to anyone, my agents office changed hands 2x in 2 years and my rates went up drastically after the first year. Brett and Christine at Derek Eastman State Farm worked with me to make sure I had all the coverage I needed and the right amount of protection for me and my family. The cost came in better than expected and no rate increases after my first year. To top it off I had a major personal item loss this year and State Farm had no issues taking care of the matter immediately. Christine and team at Derek Eastman were always available for questions or immediate customer service. Insurance is something we are mandated to have to have. I needed to switch insurance carriers to include rideshare endorsement and contacted Derek Eastman/Jim Davis from the Sugar Grove office.   I was quoted $10/month for the rideshare endorsement.  There were problems immediately following the transfer.    I was notified by my previous insurance company that they did not receive the cancellation requests from State Farm resulting in double premium. The insurance policy that I received by mail did not include the rideshare endorsement.    I requested the rideshare endorsement from Jim Davis a couple of times but only received a general endorsement.  I received an updated policy/declaration with rideshare endorsement in October following a statement of back charges for the rideshare endorsement coverage from Jun-Oct ($78.63/$20 month).   Jim Davis was not able to adjust the monthly rideshare endorsement as quoted but confirmed that I would receive a credit adjustment for the back charges.   After switching agents, I was informed that the credit was denied. I was misled to believe that State Farm would be the primary carrier for Liability coverage when rideshare passenger is in vehicle.   State Farm is primary when driver is on app but does not have customer in the car. When quoting coverage, it was mentioned that Comprehensive coverage at $0 deductible was included without offering deductible options.  The premium for this coverage is $29. If I could leave negative stars about this office, I would. My policies got moved to this office after my agent retired. Not only did I receive rude customer service but my rates went up dramatically. I didn't want to leave the company since I have been a State Farm customer for over 15 years. After awhile I was fed up of with the price and customer service so I started shopping around, I was shocked to find I was able to save $113 simply by switching to ANOTHER State Farm office. If I could give zero stars, I would, but that's my anger talking. Do not use this office for your insurance. If you do, at least be aware that they are not always upfront about the fine print when they claim they're "saving" you money. Their decision about my insurance just cost me over $500. Lewis Gaddis has been great to work with. We reviewed the policy options to find what best suited me and my wife for coverage and he did an excellent job of defining the details. Every time I speak with the office, they are responsive and helpful. We cover multiple cars and two homes and the pricing for our coverage is lower than we were paying elsewhere while receiving more coverage. In response to the "harassing" calls, I also received multiple calls asking for my business, but I am very happy we met and worked together to find the RIGHT coverage. They have been great on a homeowners claim we are working through which I will have to update on once we complete the repairs. read more

I was in my first accident last week, aside from hitting my mom's car pulling out of my driveway last year. Having an accident is never fun and never anything one can plan for. With that being said, State Farm has gone above and beyond to provide me comfort and peace of mind. The tow truck driver did not take a payment from me as soon as he knew I was insured with State Farm, he simply said State Farm takes care of everything. State Farm initiated my rental car through Hertz, and even though I was less than thrilled with my rental car, State Farm advised that I can simply return and go with another provider of my choice. Being that this is my first adult accident, I had a lot of questions and maybe even some anxieties, and Jarrod from my local State Farm office offered a friendly laugh and walked me through what to expect. This typically wouldn't be such a big deal, especially because you expect great service from your agent, but keep in mind that I have called no less than 4 times in the last week and I am greeted with his same good nature and easy laughter each time. Accidents stink, but I am thankful to be insured with this State Farm office and appreciate all their well wishes. read more

Hmm where to start...I purchased a Mercedes c63 AMG and was in the market for new car insurance. I set up everything online with State Farm. Shortly after this, the harassing phone calls from Derek's office started. This went on for over a month. His secretary kept leaving me voicemails insisting that I come in because "Derek likes to meet with his clients". Well I wasnt interested in coming in to meet with Derek especially when I'm being harassed to do so. I started to become really creeped out. After weeks on nagging phone calls, I had enough of this and was stern with my answer of no I'm not coming in. The EXACT same week, they dropped me from State Farm. Jokes on them, I saved $50 a month by going to a different insurance company. I would highly recommend staying away from this location unless you want to be harassed by your insurance agent. read more
