I live in Houston and whenever I visit family in WA, I literally drive over an hour just to see Molly for my facials. She is literally the best! My skin is always glowing after leaving her chair and get so many compliments. She also recommends really good products that work super well on my face in between sessions. Gretchen is my favorite masseuse. I have been seeing her for several years. I highly recommend her. I am giving only 3 stars due to the negative experiences at the front counter. I arrived and there were 3 people at the desk. They looked bothered when I said I am here to check in. Usually the receptionist knows me and checks me in. I did not recognize anyone. I gave them my name. The person that helped me sounded like I had bothered her. She told me that I was 35 minutes early. I knew what time my appointment was and I always arrive early to relax. She did not offer me any water. She did not offer to walk me to the waiting area. She immediately disengaged from my conversation and began chatting and giggling with the other two people. I walked to the waiting area, but the area has changed. I was not able to find the area with a sign for my masseuse. I found a sofa and sat down. As I waited the noise level from the reception area increased. The three girls were talking and laughing. Instead of my calm wait, I became anxious. The noise continued from the front, echoing down the hall. I was ready to leave when my masseuse came out of the room. I shared my anxiety and she sat down next to me and began a conversation which helped me to settle. My massage was a five star, but my experience left me feeling anxious. Beyond sad about todays post op appt, I have waited for weeks after being seen for original appt 4/29/2022 I've had a relationship with this establishment for over 7 years and have always sent friends, family, clientele and people I don't even know when asked.... Today I arrived 11 minutes late after leaving my home 40 minutes early to get a phone call in on the way and arrive early, Once I realized rain changes drivers and it's Memorial Day weekend and everyone's leaving, I call to let them know unfortunately I will be a little late. My original appt. Was on the 29th of April, and my appt was to correct something so for me I was dying to get back in and correct. When I ran in, the front receptionist told me since I am 11 minutes late, I cannot be seen, then to add insult to injury I will be charged for this f/u appt, 100$. I walked out before I lost it in my emotions and started crying. I had maneuvered my schedule big time to be here. I will never return, and I am more hurt than anything. Having a business myself I understand boundaries and rules set in place. What about my time and all the times I showed up early, and waited well past my appt time? I think it was rather insensitive and unfair. I will sadly be going elsewhere from now on. read more

These people are terrible! I live in a town 2 hours away. I had an appointment for 2:00. just as I was leaving the house to drive to my appointment in Olympia, I received a call telling me they wanted to move the appointment up 1/2 hour to 1:30 for a "consult". This was the first I had heard of a consult. I jumped in the car care and drove (way too fast) to arrive at my appointment 2 minutes late. The girl at the front desk smiled and said I was late and they could not see me. Now, I know they have a policy on being late, but there has to be room for humanity sometimes. They moved the appointment, not me. A little less than 1/2 hour would be plenty of time for a consult on a procedure I have had a dozen times. I would not recommend these people for any procedure. They are unaccomodating and smirky. It's inappropriate to change one's appointment within hours of arrival when they have been told I live 2 hours away and then turn me away when I was TWO minutes late. read more

I stopped going there a year ago when they made a new policy $100 charge for being 10 min late. After a year, I realized that I was initially charged a refundable deposit of $50 "Just in case". Called them three times already without any success. They only asked me about my new credit card info. No refund. UPD: After about 5-6 phone calls, I got a refund but had to drive to their office in person to get $50 cash: "something wrong with our system, we can't do it over the phone." read more

This is a case of one bad apple spoils the bunch. And the office manager at Derma, Amal Joury, is the bad apple. Amal Joury treated me like I was something stuck to the bottom of her shoe. It was humiliating. Amal barked at me and talked over me and she was actually misinformed in her remarks. An apology or some trace of kindness from Amal such as a phone call would have been acceptable behavior. Nope! Amal chose to double down on her poor customer service and send an email to me that was incredibly cold and not kind with zero remorse. On top of that, this email ended up in my spam folder so I was obligated to track it down. If I could give Amal less than one star, I would. For me, going to DermaSpa is a luxury not a necessity. I enjoy the special services and treatment and I LOVE my provider. It is unfortunate they allow Amal to speak or interact with customers. read more

I have been a loyal Derma Med client for years now. I always see Amanda but have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Bessie and Larissa as well. Everyone here is absolutely lovely. I adore Amanda. She is my sister from another mister and a skilled artist. She's fun, down to earth, compassionate, and incredibly talented. I would never trust anyone else to poke needles in my face. I have had Botox, Sculptra and lip filler and I am always beyond happy with the results. Amanda is a perfectionist and she always takes her time making sure that you leave looking your best and not like you just had work done. The results are always natural and exactly what I was hoping for. Most of the bad reviews are in regards to their cancellation and late arrival policies. I believe their policies are completely reasonable. When you book an appointment, you are blocking out that time on someone's schedule. Time is money and to expect a business to lose money because you can't properly manage your schedule is ridiculous and entitled. I always receive an email and a text to confirm and remind me of my appointments at Derma Med a couple of days before my scheduled appointment so I have time to cancel if need be. I am a chronically late individual and Derma Med's policies are just the motivation I need to be on time to my appointments. And I haven't been late or missed an appointment yet. But if I did, I would not expect Derma Med or any of the estheticians to lose money for my mistake. read more

Laser hair removal is a life changer!! I tried everything on my bikini area including shaving, waxing, epilating, etc. and all would leave me with painful razor burn or ingrown hairs. I starter laser hair removal last summer and the results are amazing. I paid $300 each time for the extended bikini/brazilian laser hair removal and had 7 sessions over 8 months. After the first couple of sessions, the results were visible, and by the last couple it was down to small patches of fine hair. I didn't find the laser to be too painful and any pain would be done within a second, and the total session would last probably 10-15 minutes. Jenifer did my services and would always check in during the session to see how I was managing. She was super professional and informative every time. They needed to get a new laser at one point that caused my session to be rescheduled and the minor inconvenience resulted in a discount without me having to ask. This place is very clean and everyone who works here has been great. Now I'm deciding when to start doing laser hair removal on my underarms because I am so happy with the experience and results! read more

This review is long overdue. This last spring I took the plunge and had lip fillers done at an office other then Derma Medical Spa, even though I was advised that they (Derma) were the best. In my mind I figured it was an easy standard service, that would have the exact outcome, regardless of where you went. Was I wrong? Oh you bet I was. I had 1+ syringe of filler placed into my upper lip. I looked so disproportionate, so fake, so very much like Marge Simpson with a bruised upper lip. I was horrified and SO self conscious. I kept telling myself that in a week I'd look more believable, and in two weeks when I had my recheck appointment they actually contemplated adding MORE upper lip! I was shocked that I wasn't a classic case study of a job gone bad. I looked like I had a rolled up sausage for an upper lip. It was NOT a good look. SO that's when I firmly tucked my tail between my legs and called Derma, asking them for a lip filler reversal because I didn't have the nerve to ask for it from the original office I had the service done at. Derma Spa was incredible. Adrianna was INCREDIBLE. From the moment we met she was kind and completely honest and understanding. Not only did they give me a reversal, they also had me return after healing and we redid the lip injections, BUT exactly to how I had envisioned. Natural, subtle, a change but not plastered on the front of my face like a neon sign announcing to the world that I had a cosmetic service done. I CANNOT thank the staff at Derma, especially Adriana for their incredible knowledge, professional approach, and highly skilled expertise in this incredibly personal field. I WILL always go back. Adriana is my girl! I have never felt more confident and it's that special service I'll treat myself to because I love the way my lips look and it affects my whole sense of self esteem. Everyone has a different and beautifully unique beauty regimen. Adriana has helped me achieve a standard in mine that I feel comfortable with. I could not be more happy. I had to cancel my appointment and cancelled online Friday rescheduled for Tuesday instead of Monday, when I called this morning to check on the cancellation and my rescheduled appointment, I was meant with a very disturbed individual telling me I didn't cancel or reschedule my appointment when I actually did cancel and reschedule. This woman was incredibly rude, I wasted good money on this place and feel like I was ripped off. if this company dares to go into my checking account and steal money from it I will take action as my daughter is a lawyer! I have always gone to a board certified dermatologist for my cosmetic dermatological needs. I went to an open house at Derma, and I also made an appointment with Dr. Bessie McCann. She answered questions and concerns, and made me feel more confident about visiting for some of my cosmetic needs. I had Dermaplaning, Ultherapy, and Botox, as well as a laser treatment. I was very pleased with all of it. I like the fact that you are treated much more like a client than a patient, as in most dermatologists' offices. I love that they have specials, and everyone there is very friendly and professional. I would like to do more treatments, but the other dermatologists I see all take the Care Credit card. This allows six months (sometimes more) to pay, with no interest. For more expensive, or more frequent procedures, this is great. Two other friends of mine also use the Care Credit card, and feel the same way. The other thing that was a bit of a surprise was a line for tipping. I wold never be asked to tip at a dermatologist office. I believe tipping is fine for their "spa" services, such as massages, facials, waxes, etc., but I would not tip for fillers, Botox, etc. These procedures are expensive, and I think a tip isn't necessary for these. I hope Derma Spa adds the Care Credit card to their payment methods. I would most likely see them for all my cosmetic dermatology needs. read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about Larissa. She is absolutely the sweetest, most considerate and caring person. She hurt her foot a couple of months ago, but made a special trip in for me to help me feel pretty for my class reunion. (It was my poor planning, I would have never expected her to do this). Completely above and beyond, and selfless. She always makes me feel comfortable and relaxed, even though I'm getting poked in face :) And she seems to truly care how I am doing. I have been treated so ungrateful by this company after refusing to sign a $100 late fee agreement. My services run from $40-120. Per session the owner never had the decency to call me over this. They rather just let the receptionist call me. I don't think it was a fair agreement to the services I receive. They state no expectations. I have only once I believe been 3 min late which I called them to let them know ahead of time. I had no issue with the doctors they are very nice, but the companies police should be more reasonablefor such little services. I have gotten multiple services there and they refuse to see me even on a cancelation. I am available 6 days out of the week you think they want the money. I just don't see this as fare. They have lost my business becuase they chose not to see me. I will find another place to go to get me treatment. No medical place has ever treated me with the outright disrespect. Very unprofessional how they handled the situation. I will seek a company that values there clients and edit this post on where that is so people don't have the same experience as I did. Only reason they got 2 stars i was becuase I had no issues with the doctors or I would of gave it a 1 star to the receptionist, policy and ownership. I called and made an appointment which the receptionist said was the only opening they had on that particular day. When I got there, the place quiet, there were no other patrons that I could see and the doors to all the massage rooms were open, and the rooms empty. I could hear people talking in a meeting room, and they were giggling like young girls. I filled out my paperwork and waited, and waited, by the time twenty minutes had passed the receptionist came in and said "she's just wrapping it up", so I assumed "she" was the one leading the meeting. I was told to come in a few minutes early to fill out the paperwork, but after waiting half an hour when the person who I was waiting for obviously knew I was there, but kept me waiting anyway while they had some kind of party in the break room - I decided to leave. I consider injections, whether they are for cosmetic purposes or not, are serious business, and if the person giving them wasn't professional enough to treat her clients with respect she probably wasn't qualified to do the job. I only saw younger girls walking up and down the hallways, none of them older than their early twenties. The receptionist was on the phone almost the entire time I was there. She didn't have the sense to put whoever it was on hold while she explained the paperwork to me. The place looks like it was newly decorated, all in greys, so its kind of gloomy and dark. There was water in a dispenser with blueberries - not something that seems all that appealing, or sanitary. The candles were all burnt down to nothing and the wastebasket in the bathroom needed to be emptied. But no other customers...seems kind of strange. I was going to try this place, but I don't mind driving to Gig Harbor for a professional to do my procedure, especially if its someone I can trust, and this place does not seem trustworthy. Fifteen minutes for botox injections? They take longer to was my eyebrows. read more
