I Moved to WA a year ago from California and one of the first things I did was try and find a salon. I found one and went to it and it was good. I wanted to find another one and I found this somewhat hidden gem on top of a hill in Tumwater, WA. I am SO GLAD I found this salon! As I mentioned the last one I went to was good but this one is FANTASTIC! Maria is great! I went in for a Brazilian and Maria did the fastest almost painless Brazilian I ever had! I have been getting them for a while now so if it's your very first time it might not be as painless as mine but to be honest I think with Maria doing it it won't be so bad at all. She's GOOD! I have to give Maria five stars for the following reasons: Friendly, knowledgeable, detail oriented, organized and accessible. The salon is laid out in a way that makes you feel "at home" , it was well lit, beautifully decorated and it smelled good! She even put on some music before she got to work:) Maria gave me privacy to undress, and gave me a towel to "cover up". She put on gloves and went over the process before she started to work. She asked several times if the temperature of the wax was comfortable, and applied gentle pressure after each pull which made the pain almost minimal. I was surprised and pleased that the experience was quick and painless . It's obvious that she's passionate about her work and her fees are very accessible. This was the best experience I have ever had getting a Brazilian wax! Much less pain than anyone I have gone to before.

I went in to get a brazilian and my eyebrows done. 1. This chick is awesome and hysterical. 2. My ladybits look better than they have looked after any wax I've had. 3. She apologized for taking a long time but it was actually faster than anyone else I've been to. Here's what happened: it was dang hot outside and the air conditioning in the building wasn't working, so the hard wax wasn't exactly hardening. However, this was absolutely not her fault and she still did an amazing job under the trying circumstances. My advice is not to get waxed near your period- I think that's common knowledge, but it was a day after mine and I was still more sensitive than usual. She apologized profusely for the pain and extra time, but it wasn't at all her fault, and she threw my eyebrows in for free. She is also hilarious, intelligent and great company in general. We shared regrettable tattoos, cracked a lot of jokes and talked about failed life goals- it was frank and comforting. The environment is pleasant and welcoming, very cozy. As far as the wax job goes, I'm usually pretty red and irritated afterward, but it's been five days and it's still pretty damn near perfect, with no regrowth. And her prices are really fair. I think I'll go back for another wax when I need one, and maybe get a facial and an eyelash tint. I would recommend her to beginners and veteran waxees alike. read more
