I've been a customer here for years... Started with Dr. Ball and have continued with Dr. Baumhover. I have to admit I had a lapse in my appointments... Divorce and life will do that to you. With my license renewal coming up and being in the 50+ class... It was time. Making the appointment online was smooth as butter. I got in early and each of the staff members I worked with was fantastic. I was in and out in what seemed like no time. The longest part of the visit was waiting for the eye drops to do their thing and for my eyes to dilate. Can't say enough good things about how this last visit went... The only bad thing. It's time for bifocals. But that's on God and me...not on them. I really appreciate the time and patience of everyone I worked with while I was there. A really great group! read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a medical facility. They called two months ago to cancel my appointment due to my doctor leaving. The said I would get a call back to reschedule. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. TERRIBLE WAY TO HANDLE A MEDICAL SITUATION. read more

We've used these ophthalmologists for a number of years, and have had consistently positive experiences. At least as far as visiting medical practitioners go... "The Tale of an Annual Eye Exam" - As I write, I'm waiting for my wife to get out of her intake exam after a 2 minute wait in the primary waiting room. Within 5 minutes we're off to the inner waiting room, and after another 2 minute wait, she is off having here eyes checked for glaucoma and dilated (I'm the designated driver, and chronicler of her tale... ). Back in 5, we wait another 12 minutes for her eyes to dilate and for her to be called back to the exam room. More waiting, the exam proper, and we're out the door 1 hour and 20 minutes from when we walked in. This feels pretty standard from our experience. Your milage may vary... read more

Both my wife and I go there every year for our annual exam to see Dr Ball. He has always been thorough and professional. Several years ago I had to have surgery, and Dr Ball was amazing. He and his staff did a great job and treated me wonderfully. The staff there are always pleasant and know their jobs. I learned over the years not to recommend anyone, but would make an exception here. I would strongly recommend Dr Ball and his staff. read more

I went in to Dr. Baumhover and explained that two weeks earlier I had started a new medication and my close-up vision had suddenly become blurry. I left with a prescription for TRIFOCALS!!! She convinced me that this was what I needed. I've never worn any type of prescriptions in my life, so I trusted what she said. When I went in a couple weeks later to pick up the glasses, I put them on, my entire world went blurry and I felt sick; the guy at the glasses place at the same location as the eye doctor said that's normal and I had to get used to it; I put them on, got sicker, and within an hour had to take them off and felt much better. I returned the glasses and explained the eye doctor's terrible error, only to be told that there would still be a $100 restocking fee charged on my VSP account. Later I went to Wall-Mart, bought a pair of reading glasses for less than $6, and my actual problem was fixed. A couple of weeks later, when my body adjusted to my new medication, I no longer needed the reading glasses, either. Dr. Baumhover clearly has no clue what she's doing. read more

I sought a second opinion on my cataracts and am over-the-moon happy with that decision. Not only was I able to be scheduled six weeks sooner than the well-known eye facility, I felt much more confident in the doctor. At the other eye facility, the doctor did not bother looking at me as he explained my issues. Dr. Raecker seemed enthusiastic about helping me see better and everyone in his office was friendly and professional. He never seemed rushed and gave me a few minutes to process all the information he gave me. All my questions were answered. Two thumbs up! read more

Today I waited an hour for 3 minutes of the doctor's time. I've been going here for years, appreciate the expertise, I expect to be there 90+ minutes for a full exam. But an hour for a pressure check? That is just disrespectful of my time. read more

I have been seeing doctors at this facility for several years and have been extremely happy with their service. Everyone affiliated with this clinic has been caring, compassionate and professional. So- I go in for a contact lens exam on 4/12/17 Im nearsighted-but the exam says im farsighted. For 50 years ive been nearsighted w/astigmatism-now poof! so I complain to VSP- but they still have my 30$ office visit- do they give it back when I ask nice? nope. Overly commercialized eye doctor. Patients feel more like they're being moved around like cattle than seeing a quality eye doctor. During one 30-minute appointment, patients see a doctor, 3-4 nurses, travel to 3 different rooms and wait in 2 different waiting rooms. In addition, they have a weird policy where people with certain medical conditions have their bills automatically sent to their medical insurer, even if they have vision insurance. Because I have a high deductible, I was forced to pay more than $200 for my appointment even though I already pay for vision insurance (which went to waste). read more

Excellent and hard working staff, they are flexible and are patient toward children as well. Appointments are swift and smooth.

Have been a patient there for over 10 years, and I love that I never have to wait long for an appointment. I saw that someone said the paperwork was too much, but there isn't a medical office around where you don't have to fill out paperwork every year. I've learned to get the paperwork ahead of time, which is what I did before my most recent appointment here. I've been very happy with my care, and the care of my family, over the years. read more

I have been a patient here since 2003, Dr. Sarno did my Lasik surgery about 9 years ago and I was unsure if my vision could be fully corrected due to the strong prescription I had. 9 years later, I'm still not wearing glasses, and I'm very happy with my vision. I have seen all of the doctors here over the years, and have had an incredible experience every time. The staff is very friendly, the doctors are very empathetic, and provide excellent care to their patients. I would recommend them to everyone I know. read more

I've been to DM Eye Surgeons twice in the past six months and have had positive experiences both times. Dr. Raecker is thorough, pleasant, and answers my questions. I did see three different techs before I saw the opthamologist so did think that was a lot of moving around! I will go back in a year. read more

I came to see this group on a referral from a friend. I have been here twice so I feel I have some good background. The two things that really bothered me is that they overbook the patients. I know you need to do that to be profitable, but the doctor will not spend a fair amount of time with you and you really get the feel like you are a number and not a person. The other thing is the shear amount of paperwork you have to fill out every time you come in, regardless if it is in a policy year and you have had no changes. It is a little overwhelming. The other thing that really got me most upset about this place is not knowing what to expect. For example, if you are going to dilate my eyes and I won't be able to drive home because of it, please tell me when I make my appointment. I literally had to make arrangement after the fact, because driving home with dilated pupils would have probably killed someone. Seek elsewhere my friends, good eye doctors are out there I think. read more

I nearly lost my eyesight in my right eye, due to erosion of the cornea. Dr. Hammer worked very hard to get it restored and was successful! He even came in on a Sunday early in my treatment to stay on top of the treatment. Dr. Sarno also helped me recover from a scratch on my other cornea. Scam artists to say the least! What a bunch of goons. They purposely ask for you normal insurance card before your eye exam to charge you more even if you have an eye insurance. They will purposely look for any language you use when asking if your having any eye problems to charge it to your normal insurance where you will have to pay out of pocket. It's a scam to make the hospital more money. Ask them about their hospital meetings on how to get more income. When they pulled this scam on me I was prepared beforehand and called their bluff right in front of a elderly couple having the same issue. Taking advantage of older people, nice one, clowns. After calling them out and them asking me for money because they charged it to my normal insurance I made a small scene. The doctor took my paper work back and wouldn't you know it, they charged it to my eye insurance. Nice try, losers! If you do go here don't give them your normal insurance card. Thats were they start to rip you off. You messed with the wrong person, punks. You just got owned. read more
