And, it had plenty of space for a car (or two) to pull into. And, then we had a separate area to set up a tent in. It was perfect for camping with our 2 dogs; we got a nice private area by the lake and the Dogs. I was able to reserve a spot online through recreation.gov and it was easy! And, Steve the camp host, was a delight! He was very approachable and friendly, it was nice interacting with him and talking to him. Overall, the spot was quiet and had beautiful scenery! And, less bugs/mosquitos then I've seen in other similar camp spots in the same geographic area for that time of year. And, also it was just a 20 minute drive to Smith Rock from this camp Site, so it was very do-able!

Awesome rafting company! Had such an amazing experience over the weekend with my company co-workers…read more& there family members. Down to earth rafting guide Cole who will be attending Stanford University. He was so great teaching us newbies to rafting on every spot we rafted down Deschute river was great even if I didn't know how to swim but had a life jacket on. Cole made me and our team feel extra safe by telling us the safety rules of which way to float, how to float at a certain part. Cole was so wonderful in keeping us entertained and laughing. I don't think I've laughed so hard in such a long time, my stomach was in pain from all the laughs. We can't wait to return next year for another rafting adventure. Thank you Deschute U-Boat rafting company for making my first time rafting experience one to remember!

Staff (MacKayla) was super welcoming and got me seated on the sunny deck overlooking the Marina (Hence Dockside) I was the only one here at the time, it was very nice. I returned the next day with my wife for lunch. Today it was much busier, but we got a table at the rail overlooking the lake. Expecting "tourist grade food" we ordered the nachos and margarita's (In memory of Jimmy Buffet who had just passed away that day) We are margarita snobs and these were excellent. Perfect mix of tequila, fresh lime juice and simple syrup. The right kind of tart. Nacho's were a delightful surprise too, each chip caked with chicken, beans and nacho cheese. Super tasty pickled jalapeno's on the side added some kick. Again, staff were super personable, bartender (Ashley) was great. A very un-touristy experience, more like a local bar. Definitely will be back.

We rented a…read morepontoon boat down the road for the day and it was so easy cause they tow it to the lake and bring it back. You just have to know how to drive it. There is a lot of space on the lake, with many floating porta potties scattered on the lake if you don't want to drive up to the docks. I would say after 4th of July they were trashed! We fished and got to explore a beach while on the water. We saw people being pulled on boats, jet skies, and people jumping from the bridge. There are also places for camping but I cannot imagine being out there in the heat with no AC. The parking lot was full by the time we got back and we ended up needing to pay for it. There is a little beach next to the parking lot for those who don't have a boat to go out on but still want to enjoy the lake. I get seasick so I understand how that can be the better option. I was ok for the most part, just when another boat went by the boat would get rocky.

The fish, so small, so I threw most back, but Alleluia, the crawfish were such a delight. Just like baby lobster. I boiled them in a brine and dipped them in a melted garlic butter! Mmmm mmmm mmmm! Presently, living in the area, I look forward to many more days on the lake, fishing, swimming, and enjoying the summer days close to Heaven. All sights on the lake, immaculate and the pristine views of the Indigenous Peoples (American Indian) always so picturesque. As if it still the land of old, 1800 possibly before. As an advocate of keeping America clean, let us work hard to ensure the lake remains clean, properly maintained so many generations to come will enjoy the beauty of Lake Billy Chinook, Culver, Oregon.

The bath house is large and we could understand with as many people using it on a daily basis, why it takes a couple hours to clean it. Also a laundry in there. We were there during the same time as the previous comment and we saw the camp hosts visit the rowdy campers several times that evening asking them to quiet down. Overall the scenery is beautiful and the campgrounds are clean and well run. Your supposed to be camping when you come here, so who needs cable. Go explore. There is also golf, a pool, tennis, pickle ball, horse shoes, and a large net for volleyball. Also very few camp grounds have water at every tent site. CCR RV does offer a large sink area outside the bath house for cleaning dishes and such. We really enjoyed our time there and will return again. When you talk to others staying in the park they have been coming there for years, so they must be doing something right.

The spots where you could dump cost more, but the sites are totally unacceptable. Grass "looking" carpets thrown down. Way too close together. No trees! Called the Emergency number to tell them we were going to move to another site. No one answered (glad we didn't have a real emergency). Said they would call back. Never got a call back. The best part was meeting Toni, who works here. We accidentally ran into her and she was so helpful. Told us what spots we could stay in and gave us some directions on places to eat. She was the best thing about this Park. You Rock, Toni!!!

Staff and volunteers were very attentive and kept things in tip top shape. Our site was nice, which had water & electric. We went to a couple of the evening ranger programs, where I learned quite a bit. Bathroom facilities were really nice. Park was really windy, which may have just been when I was there but I suspect it's a common occurrence. There were deer that wandered through the campground, owls, and lots of other wildlife. Would stay here again if we were in the area.
