View from the tiny home private hot tub!!!

My partner and I chose this place to celebrate our 12 year anniversary, and we couldn't be happier... literally was our best spent anniversary, to date! Every single person who worked there treated us like family. JAY is the man, for sure. He was the boat man, and the everything around the resort man.... the great for a laugh man, and totally the man to ask for food recommendations. (Antojitos in Madras had the best salsa!) Shannon was so welcoming and attentive, and totally down to earth and fun to chat with. And Chrystal (spelling?) really had us sold on the bot rental.... (worth it!-get the pontoon!!!!) We were treated like friends... Our tiny home was absolutely gorgeous. Amazing view, full amenities, clean, and very well maintained. Hot tub ready to go! We have been considering tiny home living for ourselves long term, and after our stay here, I am pretty convinced it's for us. this is one of our new favorite places to escape to. It's worth every penny. And I didn't want to leave.

The place was clean and maintained well. The staff was friendly. We rented the RV. While I will not complain about the loud people or loose pets, because this is not the fault of the resort, I have to say that our RV smelled like a sewer. Upon checkout the resort host asked how everything was a s when i mentioned the sewer smell her first reply was "oh! STILL?" And that's as far as that went. I would have expected some type of compensation or something, as this was a known problem. I didn't ask or pursue any resolution because the first night, I couldn't find the light switches for me bedroom, and the host didn't know where they were either. So instead of helping to resolve the issue I was left to figure it out myself. Which is real fun in the dark.. because...you know...I could t find the light switch. The next morning I did figure out how to turn on the lights. They have golf carts available for going up and down..and up and down..and up and down..the resort. You can rent them, or you can use the two courtesy ones they have. I never had any issue finding the courtesy carts. But either way..you will need it. The RVs are parked within 15 feet of each other so you will hear everything from the other renters. Also, the area outside your RV is gravel. Medium sized sharp stone gravel. And for the most part, level. I hope the move the rvs farther apart in the future, and add a more hospitable outdoor area. Maybe even fences between the rvs. All in all a pretty place. Great views and good swimming area. Boat rental includes fuel :-)

We stayed for weekend to celebrate my birthday and I cannot wait to go back! We stayed in the tiny home c15 and we had everything we needed. Only thing is we didn't know there wasn't a tv (we fall asleep to tv/noise) and there were sugar ants on the kitchen counter and a few on the bed but to be expected out camping! There isn't a beach area for swimming just a rocky bank but they do have docks to swim off if you prefer

Ate at the dockside grill for lunch and loved it!! The whole resort has been completely updated and is very clean, peaceful, and fun. Definitely would recommend to anyone for a day trip or a weekend.

This is a unique RV park. We spend a good portion of July bouncing around with the travel trailer. We've seen lots of RV parks and nothing comes close to Simtustus. It's down in a lake filled canyon with a very narrow windy road. It's not dangerous or anything but you have to be ready for oncoming cars and blind curves. The spots are up on terraces with excellent views. The staff were warm and friendly. They gave us an extra spot so we could park completely sideways facing the lake. Overall I loved it and look forward to going back next summer.

Their new Tiny Home rentals are the perfect way to relax and just get away from it all. Situated with fantastic views of a small cove off of Lake Simtustus and with the perfect amount of privacy and solitude, I know we will return again and again. There are a few options for cabins/tiny homes to choose from depending on the number in your party, we left 2 of our dogs at home and only brought our senior pooch for her own get away from the other 2 and so the single room Tiny Home was just perfect. Murphy bed pulls down from the wall so during the day you ave more room to spread out. The kitchen area was small, functional, and had really great high end appliances from a conduction top range to a microwave/convection oven and an large refrigerator. The location is pretty remote so we had definitely planned and brought food to prepare and not have to venture out anywhere. Coffee on the porch in the morning in the crisp air was the perfect way to start each day. There is a bit of WiFi close to the office and we were able to get a bit of signal in our unit which was the closest to the office so probably not the place to go if you are attached to your gadgets or need reliable phone or internet connection constantly, but, if you have Verizon they do have an extender so that you can make and receive calls close to the office if needed. Perfect place to escape from the outside world if that is what you desire though, but definitely not roughing it at all. They do have a few items in the shop off the office if you forgot anything and were super helpful and friendly. Can rent pontoon boats, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. and the lake itself is calm, peaceful, quiet, no jet skis or other loud motors to disturb your peaceful lake escape.

Beautiful camp ground- clean, peaceful and store is well stocked. Only lacking great customer service from new owner. Other onsite employees are helpful but really wish this guy acted like he appreciated our business.

Very unprofessional and difficult to deal with. The old owners ran this place beautifully and now not so much.

The only bad thing is other than swimming and swings there's not much else to do for the kids. You can rent a boat for a few hours and we had a blast on ours! When we showed up to our site and started…read moreto set up we were informed while setting up our tents that we had a "public trail" going directly through our campsite, allowing other individuals staying in the campground to awkwardly walk through our campsite. The funny part is, this so called trail is hardly visible to the eye and went absolutely no where other than to some random sink under a cover. One of the individuals staying with us went to ask a camp host a question (around 5pm), and was told "I'm off duty" instead of taking a few minutes to simply provide good hospitality, they let it be known that they were being inconvenienced and didn't make any efforts in helping direct our questions to another host that may have been "on duty"...should I mention they only tried asking a question since they saw the host walking by (If someone smiles and says hello would they have said they're off duty?) The fire pit in our campsite was so awkwardly placed next to the parking pad and some random wood fence that you could maybe have a total of two chairs next to it. As for showers, not one of us was even able to see them. Do to COVID they may have had a change with hours (No problem!) but 10am - 6pm...really? it made it impossible for any of us to even shower simply because we ended up driving the 30 minutes to a different day use because even the swimming area is so small and crummy. I have been coming to campgrounds in this area since I was a child but I really have to say this place is a complete joke. As for the site it's self, maybe it would be okay for a trailer or RV but they should advertise it when someone is making reservations because I plan on letting others know to save their time and money to enjoy camping at other near by parks that have friendly camp host, showers available and a firepit that's able to be enjoyed. Everyone who joined us on this trip left very disappointed.

Here is my review of clear lake for row boat use!…read more We got here at 930 am. Found the pay box at the entrance $9, no cash. There is an option to pay at the bottom which we should have done because they take the national park passes there (see picture). We were able to find parking in the main lot and there were a few people there. We weren't sure how the process of renting the boats or availability of life jackets. There is a shop that sells food, snacks, drinks, ice cream , and desserts. They also have a selection of fishing items, shirts, jackets. We paid for the boat - $60 for the large boat all day. The life jackets were plentiful and available. My husband rowed most of the time because I am not a good rower. We made it from the dock to the start of the river that you can't go past which is good since you could hear the rapids. The way to the left was a lot calmer and clear. We had a blast out on the lake. You could see down near the shallows but not in the middle of the lake. Make sure to bring sunscreen because there isn't much shade. The facilities are great!! Two bathrooms in the shop. Large tables to sit and enjoy a hot cooked meal or ice cream. I am so glad we were able to make a morning on the lake super easy and stress free! Next time I'm thinking of renting a kayak or a stand up paddle board. That would be fun! If you are in the area make sure to stop by early. As we were leaving, the parking lot was filled up so make sure to get there early! I hope my review and pictures help you plan for a successful visit to Clear Lake!

That's the ranger station at Blue River, not the campground, which is located off U.S. Highway 20 west of Sms isters. There's 49 campsites with varying lengths. We stayed in campsite 22. We had just enough room for our 25-foot travel trailer and GMC Yukon travel trailer. The rest of our site was huge, with wooden steps leading to a picnic table and a fire ring. Out the back window of our trailer we could see Big Lake and towering Mount Washington, one of the gems of Central Oregon. A short trail leads past prolific stands of bear grass and flowers, including mountain lupine, Queen's Cup, mountain meadowsweet and scarlet trumpet. There are numerous vault toilets and faucets offering drinking water. There are also boat ramps. We really enjoyed our time at this campground and highly recommend it.

Washington sits right over Big Lake and boasts gorgeous mountain views with tall green trees surrounding the lake. We actually had a small lake access from our campground and the campground was nice and private from other sites. We reserved online for $24 a night (I highly recommend reserving online to be safe because the campground does fill up) and after splitting the cost with everyone it was dirt cheap! It's very reasonably priced per night. When we came in no one was at the check-in station but we found our name on a post outside the campground. Bathrooms were your standard vault toilets and there was running water but I don't think it was potable. I came mid-summer and the mosquitos were only a little noticeable and not out of control. We didn't have any issues with animals like raccoons or anything and since it was car camping our cars were easily accessible. I wish we could have brought out a kayak but it was still a nice place to swim and enjoy a beautiful summer weekend on the lake. There was a camp across the lake and a few trails we explores. I really liked the terrain and how it changed as you walked further into the mountains. I will definitely be back!
