Back in the day, we wouldn't have thought twice about having some tasters (and then some more, and…read morethen some more) in wine country. But that was before the new legal alcohol consumption limits went into play. And you know what? Thank goodness, because with OK Wine Shuttle, not only did we need not worry about our sobriety, we also had an air conditioned place to store our purchases. I really didn't know what to expect when we booked the shuttle. I certainly didn't expect the friendliest driver hailing from Ontario by way of Burnaby to ham it up with us the whole time! Nor did I expect to be the only people on the shuttle. Going mid week has its perks - less people is one of them. Feeling like we had our own private driver for $45/person was another, and might I add, very worth it. Baller! From what I gathered from JP (the driver extraordinaire), it's a little more hectic on the weekends. When they're busy they will attempt to group you together at wineries and will shuttle you around to the next one, making their way from Penticton to the furthest reaches of Naramata and back again. With the wineries keeping a tight proximity to one another, going to the ones that you want to is pretty doable. They also focus on both the family estates as well as the more established spots. Some notes: if you're in Penticton, there are three main "hop on hop off" spots. If you're in Naramata, call ahead and they'll come get you! Our driver mentioned that he knows how busy it's going to be around 1:30 pm. We started with him before 11am and had made a lot of headway by that time. It's worth starting out earlier! Bring cash. They're cash only! And I'm sure they appreciate tips too.

My friend and I just did the OK wine shuttle yesterday. This was my second time doing this tour and…read moreI had an even better experience than the first time. Not only were we the only ones doing the tour, but they had a great deal and the driver, Bernie, was amazing. He had great recommendations of where to visit, and even took a lot of photos for us. We really enjoyed the tour! The bus was big and comfortable, and the Bernie provided us with a box for all the wine we bought. Great customer service and an all around great experience. I would highly recommend this one :-)

Unfortunately, I must leave a low rating because wheelchair accessibility was very poor…read more The guide was exceptional and so apologetic. But, this was a teaching moment for her as this was her first time locking in and securing a wheelchair properly on the shuttle. For some of the trips between wineries, I had to hang-on to my seatbelt that was attached to the floor in order to avoid tipping over in my chair. The first trip, I had to have my partner ( who has a very bad back) bend over and hang on-to the rigid frame chair to prevent me from falling forward or backwards. The bus ride was very, very, hot due to the air conditioning vent being at the back of the bus avoiding the designated wheelchair spot altogether. Overheating with a spinal cord injury can require emergency medical assistance because people cannot regulate their temperature. All of these issues should must be rectified as soon as possible especially as you are advertising as a wheelchair accessible shuttle service. Drivers should, at the very least, have practical experience, and extensive training for assisting people with disabilities in a wheelchair...and for this reason only, my review is a 2 out of 5 stars. This is unfortunate because everything else about the tour was exceptional, and all of the wineries had accessible ramps and washrooms. The Okanagan Wine region definitely does not disappoint! I just wish I could have relaxed on the excursion and felt comfortable and safe. Regretfully, Derek Moxam

First time in Kelowna, this was a gift to my partner for his birthday! Worth every penny!…read more Judy was our driver/tour guide, and she was excellent. Knowledgable, funny and the woman knows her wine! Went to 4 different winery's plus lunch. A total of almost 6 hours start to finish. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone who, like us, loves wine tasting and doesn't want the hassle of driving.
