Ruben came to my Indio home the next morning. Ruben diagnosed the problem quickly while explaining to me what he was doing and fixed it within an hour. The GFI fault was caused by water inside an underground electrical box, so this was not an easy problem to find. Ruben was thorough, prompt, and easy to work with. Need to train their customer service reps in the La Quinta facility to know about the…read more programs that imperial irrigation offers for the seniors. When you ask the administrative clerk at the window, how the programs works she can't explain if they're on an annual basis on a fiscal basis she acts like she's an expert when clearly she is not. Very rude and condescending. Then, when you ask to speak to a supervisor, they do not give out any last names because they say it's their policy. This is ridiculous. Finally she told me that the supervisors name was Maria, never received a call back. Somebody else told me that that the managers name was Will and that my account was noted for a call back. I have repeatedly called to request to speak with a supervisor which I have documented with dates and times, no less than 10 times, no call backs. Most unprofessional service that I've ever seen, clearly need to replace the staff and need to educate and do proper training. As Coachella Valley continues to grow a person's better off dealing with Southern California Edison than to deal with IID. These employees within the La Quinta location need to be either re-trained or terminated. There is no excuse for horrible customer service such as this. These employees need to receive training in Orange County or LA County to learn how to deal with Customer Service. I believe these employees are hired because they're related to someone within IID. These people have never left the valley and have not been trained by a real supervisor or manager, they are what you call sacred cows that NEED to be replaced. I have been in Human Resources for over 27 years and you can clearly see how these employees lack training. What a disservice for residential customers.
