I had a great experience! Todd responded extremely quickly, within an hour of my request on Yelp even though it was a Saturday. Over the phone and through the photos I sent, he was able to assess that the repairs needed were relatively minor. He therefore recommended that one of his employees could do the repairs. He then contacted me that same day, arranged to come by after his normal work hours on Monday to assess what was required. He had some excellent suggestions for how to repair the damage including adding some new flashing in areas where water was damaging the fascia boards under the roofing. I can't review the work because I never got that far. Reliable was recommended to me by a roofer friend who doesn't do work in this area. He outlined what I needed to ask for the bid. I submitted my questions. The return call came just on the heels of me getting contacted by another company I had also asked for a bid. The guy on the phone was offended that I was seeking more than one bid. His response was, "I'm not coming out, just tell me what your other bids are." I tried to explain that the other bids weren't really addressing what I was asking (the other bid was an astronomical amount to just come spray sealant over the existing roof, which wasn't going to address any of the issues). His response was something like, "Good luck with that buddy." Based on reviews here, I probably would have been happier with the final work than the person I eventually hired. But based on that initial customer service contact, I was entirely turned off from asking for more information. Still not sure if he was offended because I has looking for multiple bids or because my written questions didn't meet his standards. I've never dealt with a business that simply refused even offering a valid bid. But when someone tells you who they are on that initial call, believe them. read more

Wow - the absolute BEST customer service that I have seen in a long time! I called AAA Reliance Roofing because a piece of sheet metal flashing had come off in the last big wind storm here in Palm Desert. Worst experience I've ever had with a potential contractor! I got a call back several days later on a Sunday at dinner time. While I didn't have a problem with it being Sunday, I had a real problem with the exceedingly professionalism of Todd Gregory Young! I was asked what he could do for me and I explained that I needed a lift and relay. Instead of asking me question he proceeded to mansplain my terminology in an overly condescending way. He already lost me at that point but I wanted to humor myself to see how obnoxious Todd could really get. He did not disappoint! After the ridiculous lesson on terminology (he claims it's "remove and reset or replace" or who knows I couldn't be bothered to listen to him at that point) and after he stopped patting himself on the back for said lesson he dove into asking me who else I had out to look at the roof. **Fun Fact: the terminology I used was what I got from the previous THREE roofers I had out already and moreover, the exact terminology on their bids! Nevertheless I said it was irrelevant who I've had out already I'm interested in your bid. Then Todd really started to shine in all the wrong ways! "I'm so busy and have 25 calls to return and will get another 25 tomorrow, so I wouldn't be able to even think about getting to you in monthsssssss! . Needless to say I just hung at that point because I had enough of his nonsense. I suggest anyone considering hiring this guy "Todd Gregory Young" to search and validate his license before doing so. I say this because after I hung up on him, I went to the California Secretary of State to search his business license and couldn't find a thing! Highly recommend this company. We moved into our Palm Springs Panorama Park home month ago and the inspection mentioned broken tiles, loose concrete around pipes sticking up through the roof and a cracked skylight. They came and looked at the roof and we agreed on a price, made an appt for later in the week. They came with 2 men, and did the work, replaced 9 tiles, and we replaced the grey skylight with a white one to brighten our bathroom a bit. After several unsuccessful attempts to schedule our "regular" roof guy to repair a leak in our Spanish tile roof, we called Reliable Roofing, based upon the good reviews here. Todd returned our call very promptly, something that seems to be a rarity in the business. I sent him a few photos, so he could understand the kind of roof we had, and he came by within hours. I'll be honest. Todd has such an outgoing personality that I was a little suspicious but we went ahead and hired him for the job. Wow. His team showed up right on schedule, every day, were nice as can be, worked all day, and completed the job in 3 days. They showed me the materials, were very thorough, cleaned up after each day's work, and went above and beyond what was expected. (They matched and bought paint to paint some stucco they had sealed over and did a general inspection/minor repairs to our casita roof, which was not even part of the original agreement). Todd himself showed up several times to check on progress. Now, to be honest, it hasn't rained since the repairs, so I can't SWEAR that the leak has been fixed . . . and Reliable was not cheap . . . but we were extraordinarily pleased with this company, with their work and with their great customer service. Got an estimate n after they tore off all my shingles they then told me I now needed all new wood and it was now astronomical. So I instead of 21,000 as agreed after their physical inspection of my roof n attic it's now 40,000. The man that came out after all the shingles were off was then asking me so what do u want to do. I said well your company has already tore off all my shingles so even if I find another company I would still have to pay for what you have done already. I was basically flimflammed.
