My husband and I went into The Light House looking for help in finding modern yet simple looking outdoor light fixtures as well as ceiling fans for indoor and outdoor. Cheryl was amazing and super friendly and helped us find our outdoor light fixtures. Tammy came over and assisted us as well and helped us with our ceiling fans. They were absolutely amazing at what they do and very patient with us. The prices were very reasonable, and the quality was exceptional .The stores mascot, Peggy Sue, a little Chiweenie was the icing on the cake. The first thing I noticed upon entering the store was the fact NONE of the employees were wearing masks, even during the height of the very contagious Omicron variant of COVID-19. Literally none of them. The second thing I noticed was equally disturbing: a religious message on the business card of the salesperson who handed it to me, and it featured a Bible notation. Not only is that religious message on their business cards, I noticed it on a big store truck parked outside. I do not want to purchase from a religious business. I want to purchase from a lighting business, and especially one that cares about the spread of covid, which this one doesn't. I would never recommend this business. By the way, their lighting is extremely over-priced and you can find everything they offer cheaper elsewhere. read more

When you drop a mere $3k on outdoor lighting you expect a certain level of customer service. I was even willing to pay their "electrician" the exhorbitant $125.00/hr rate. All I asked is for the electrician to come back at dusk to see how the lighting appeared and make whatever adjustments were necessary. The first time I had to "chase" after him as he was constantly busy. Finally, he came and sure enough some adjustments were necessary and an additional light was added. He was supposed to return and/or call Thurs (now its friday) and recheck the adjustments. Worse then not showing up not even the courtesy of a call. I spoke to the owner today and she indicated that she would "have a talk" with him. Still no call!! What a way to run a business. I would go anywhere else and not spend another dime at this could-care-less business. read more

I had been totally unaware of the problem involving her employees and responded to my concerns and needs immediately being most sympathetic and generous. I'd been looking around for ceiling fans and a neighbor suggested I check out the Lighthouse. I went to the one in Palm Desert where Kayla listened to what I was looking for and guided me to suggestions she felt would best fit my needs. I found one I liked and was able to use the same model (different blade lengths) in all of the locations that I needed. Kayla quoted the best prices I had received, and worked with me without hassle when I made some changes post-order. The fans came in when promised and were promptly installed by Neil.
