I woke up this morning, knowing I had to go to the Dr. and I was immediately grouchy. Grouchy with my coworkers, my wife, my dog. Wasn't looking forward to having to wait in a waiting room, then wait in a triage room. My time in doctors offices has been spent waiting. Always feeling that your time is not as important than every single person that works in that doctors offices. My day was made when I went to Desert Orthopedic. Everyone was so efficient. I hardly waited at any point in my visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone was also very friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think from beginning to end, the process took no more that 30 minutes once I was checked in. I only went in for trigger finger, so nothing major but I felt like I didn't waste my time here. I got in and got out and my issue was, if not resolved yet, attended to, with resolution within sight. Desert Orthopedic Center is my go to place for Orthopedic specialties. I originally came here a few years ago to see what was going on and recently came back to see if it hasn't gotten worse. Since I was an established patient, I was able to schedule my appointment online. My visit was for a Tuesday with Dr.Fouse. I ended up arriving about 10 minutes early. The process to check-in was seamless. I didn't have to fill out too many forms and my name was called shortly after check-in. X-rays are provided on-site if you need to. After being assigned a room and spoke with an assistant, Dr.Fouse had arrived! He was quite thorough with his diagnoses and was open with different routes that I could take. I have another follow-up in a few weeks with Desert Orthopedic Center. read more

I like it here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I came 30 min early for my appointment because I was a new patient and I was out of the waiting room BEFORE my appointment even started.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were going to x ray the wrong part of my back (cervical when that wasn't the issue) but because i was a bit vague with describing my initial issue (the pain is everywhereeee) i understood. [[HIGHLIGHT]]i raised my concerns, went to talk to a triage nurse about my pain and ended up getting a thoracic and lumbar x-ray.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] then i was sent to my room to wait round for dr. perry. i waited like 30-35 mins but when he came in it was obvious he had looked at my x rays and the notes the triage nurse made before which made me at ease. i expected to get a referral to a PT and nothing else, but because it was worse than that i'm glad i went and i'm glad it was a good experience. Fire all young ones! Was seen at Centennial location for bad knee. Recd gel shot in both knees ...worked in left knee. Had surgery on right knee still bad! Now I recently saw Dr. Kelly, who scheduled me for a steroid shot in back. I have RA and had previous fusion in spine thirty yrs ago. So, I go for shot... this began the anger for the lack of respect. Two nice young men put me face down on table pulled my pants down below my butt and did not cover me! I'm 74 but still a lady! I then hear doctor come in He never spoke... Never introduced self etc. I turned my head and asked if I could see the person giving me the shot. He said i could not see him anyway as he wearing a mask. Rude! Who are you? No warning just painful injection. I returned couple months later for second shot at Warm Springs location (today) Nurses were cool but did not listen as I tried to explain first horrid experience. I simply did not exist as I recd no response. At least I'm in a medical setting this time not in a small office room with three men. So I hear Dr Mark Park enter room. Again, no introduction, no nothing, no how are you? He introduced needle into my spine ... new location in back and again nothing. Quite painful and he hit something with needle and I yelled ... I never scream! I felt unusual motion/pain in spine. He said "Your back is bad." I asked " Why?," and he said too much scarring! Again, he injecting the needle in various location and I felt great pain and immediate warmth in back, buttocks and down back of thighs. No numbing at all to site. He then left .... No bye, no see u later... Nurse told me to sit for 10 mins then I could leave. My discharge paper had follow-up appt. date on it. I will never return ever! I felt like a piece of meat, not treated kindly or respectfully. Please instruct staff to not giggle or laugh (both locations as it's not professional! Good luck dealing with Desert Orthopedic Centennial. You will start on the appointment line at 20 or above, hours later you'll work your way to number three, only to be bounced back to 8 or higher multiple times. I had to help my wife with a recent broken leg and I knew what I was in for because we went though the same fiasco years back for her hip replacement, and, in 2015 I had to see them for a hip issue and one day I was left in the consult room for 2.5 hours before the physician actually stopped in. WARNING!!!! Do not waste your time becoming a patient here. The patient care is nonexistent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spent 2 hours on the phone convincing this office that they had my MRI records.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Upon arriving at the office, they wanted to take additional X-rays, despite my recent X-rays, which made me concerned about the insurance covering the extra cost. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr. Nevins basically berated me into having the X-rays and said, and I quote, "It is not about the money." Never once did I mention money.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]He went so far as to tell my husband to "trade me in for a younger model."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fast forward, the insurance rejected the request for gel injections because the office failed to provide the necessary information to reflect all the treatments I had sought and completed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spent my own time contacting the insurance company to find out what information was required to gain approval.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I relayed this to the office, only to be told that, per the doctor, they do not do appeals and that I would need to come in for yet another office visit or pay for the injections out of pocket. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I brought this all to the attention of the office manager, Sergio Valdes, who couldn't have cared less.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He said they have a department dedicated to appeals. Dr Dunn & Richard Mateyka PA are angels who truly care about you! They treat you like family not just another patient. Their staff has been very kind and accommodating too. I had a ACDF surgery done to relieve my neck and back pain. I have a condition where I pass out easily so after surgery, they made sure I was able to stay a night at Spring Valley to keep me safe after the procedure. The physical therapy is the best in town - I've been to four or five others over the years. You don't get told do this in the corner with someone watching from a distance - you have a therapist and assistants with you through the process each move and everyday. Builds my morale, builds my ability, corrects my moves to make them help me get stronger. I am not alone with a set and number. I have had one on one and changes to rebuild atrophy in my upper thigh, and I am getting string again and good range of motion. Dr. Kang has a good team, I'm 7 weeks after a full knee replacement and PAs are compassionate. The negative - getting a response on a weekend - nope! Getting staff to return a call on refill - nope! However, when they call you for the check ins - they handle all that stuff and jump on it. Nothing is perfect, but the combination of the office and PT at same location has been good. i am fighting my way not to have an adjustment and they are working with me to help. I do not feel alone, I do not wait endless time for the doc or PA, except for one front desk girl - the rest of the team is caring and makes you feel like you are important. read more

Very disappointing I would not recommend this Office to anyone ever. The amount of pain that I was in and the fact that I wasn't taken care of correctly, here's my story please take the time to read before you go there I was in an accident- Desert Orthopedic center- southwest- they got me in quickly. I had to fill out information on an iPad, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told the lady at the front desk I lost my glasses in the accident. She said that's ok do your best and they will go over it with you in the room instead of asking me the questions and reading it to me because she was apparently too busy as I was the only one in the waiting room[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] at the . I Was taken back for my appt. X-rays done- I was had a pretty bad clavicle break and it required surgery Dr Hancock said I needed to be added to the schedule for surgery as soon as possible. I then went over all the information with the M A. That was transferred from the iPad and confirmed the mistakes I had made. She updated the system. Told me I was good to go and walked me up to where They schedule the surgery. I saw the doctor December 31 the scheduler put me on for January 8 due to the holiday it was more than. week out. Then they made me me pay a deposit (which they can't and should not do until it goes through insurance first) [[HIGHLIGHT]]the scheduling lady was rude and told me she could not shedule without paying them almost $1400.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So knowing I needed the surgery and I was in pretty bad shape. I paid the amount to get on the schedule. Dr. Hancock had given me some things that I needed to get done and some things he suggested I could get done if I had time. Here's where it gets interesting a whole week. Goes by and I get a call on Monday the week of surgery from the MA (the one that was in the room with me going over the information that I didn't mark correctly on the iPad ) stating that Dr. Hancock would not do my surgery because of some discrepancies I filled out on the iPad that didn't match up with what we stated in the room after I had already emphasized I could barely see that iPad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I tried to ask for more information and she said we have canceled your surgery. That is all the information I can give you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I then I said well I need my money back as soon as possible- She told me I needed to call the billing department and gave me the number they were very unprofessional would not tell me the reason why and just dismissed me. She hung up on me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called back got to the billing department. They said no you're still on the schedule I said no, and assured her that the MMA was very rude and canceled my surgery. She then put me on a very long hold came back. And said oh you're right they did cancel the surgery[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . I then asked for my almost $1400 back as soon as possible. It's amazing that the money comes out instantaneously when they run your card It takes up to 10 business days to get returned, I told the lady,I need to have surgery within a certain amount of time to fix my bone, and now that I need to look for another surgeon, I may need that money hence the reason why they're not supposed to charge you before it goes through insurance. I felt bulldozed and threatened because they wouldn't schedule unless I gave them that money. it took almost the full 7 days when they said it would be 5 to 7 to get the money back. Very disappointing and not very thorough. Glad I did not allow Dr Hancock to do surgery on me. I found a phenomenal surgeon that same day was able to be fit in and took care of me right away very professional doctor do not see Dr. Hancock very disappointing From the patients perspective. This was back in January. It is now April and I finally received the final refund from them as they overcharged me for the actual visit. I have a co-pay for visits not coinsurance. I know my benefits very well and I have come to notice that most offices. Do not know how to read or reach out and get the correct information. I would refuse to even give them one star for how I was treated. I saw Dr. Kyle Hancock for my second dislocated right shoulder! (Did nothing the first time) We went through the whole process and just completed the surgery I needed a few weeks ago. Which the assistant said was a moderate one. (Also great in answering all of our questions! He showed me my mri and all the damage there was. He gave me the option to rehab it and the pros and cons of both! He was so respectful, professional and reassuring. I don't have the highest pain tolerance and I've have been so surprised how little pain I had the first week! I was up and around doing things the next day! (Minimally of course) It's been 3weeks and now I've started having pain with rehab but that's expected. Wow.I came out here to leave a negative review and after looking at the fact that they have lots of negative reviews absolutely blows me away.I wish I would have read this stuff before I went there. I. Went there and got 2 shots for my lower back.And they charged me and my insurance over $17000.That is absolutely fucking ridiculous. And neither one of the shots worked and Doctor. Park suggested.I just deal with the pain through pain management of pain pills and ice packs. I then informed my work and they needed. A 2 page document filled out by the Doctor which is basically filling in blanks. And they wanted me to schedule an appointment so that they could go over the paperwork with me, which is bullshit. I would leave less than a one star if available. After being taken to the ER after a bike crash, we were to follow up immediately with an orthopedic surgeon. It took 4 days to get an approval from PCP and insurance company. After getting approval and a 45 minute wait on the phone, we were told the first available appointment was August ! Accident was May 15 ! Broken clavicle and AC Separation Grade III and they actually expect you to wait until August? This is absolutely the WORST office/clerical management that they are not trained or prepared for emergency appointments. What sort of injury does it take to be seen for emergencies? Started coming here in 2015 for my back and love it. They are really good and don't just push to operate. I saw Dr Daniel Lee for my back in 2015. This time I was in for my elbow and saw Dr Tingley. I called and made an appointment for the 25th but added myself to the waiting list. They called and said they could take me on the 19th so I jumped at the chance to get in early. Was greeted quickly and checked in. I filled out the forms online so nothing to checking in. Was called quickly and taken to the room. They have X-rays there so they were taken quick and on the computer in the room when I got back. Dr came in. Checked everything out and was very nice and professional. Highly recommend read more

I've been going to Dr. Lee now for several years. Had 3 spine surgeries and the 1st Dr. I went to wanted to rush me to surgery and frankly almost scared me into the hospital. Then I met Dr Lee and I held off as long as I could stand the pain (3-yrs, more of tennis, yeah) Have NEVER found a Dr. that cares so much and not rushing you into cutting. Within 8 days after the Surgery in May-23, while in bed, no weight on foot, still wrapped in thick dressing, stitches, and ace bandage, I noticed the bunion joint protrude, return to the original deformed position. The day of the surgery the x-ray did show the bone aligned, however in a short few days ended up as it was before Surgery. I"m advised the bone is not healing and making new bone to cement the needless breaking of the metatarsal. Its over 8 weeks P.O. and still in a clumsy walking boot, with swollen bulge where the metal plate is under so thin skin on top of the foot. My condition is worse then before surgery with a hard callous developing from rubbing on the wide walking boot. I don't know when or if my bone tissue will ever fuse the broken bone gap clearly seen on the xray. The irritating foreign intrusive plate must removed, however will be a year for healing.. The cost of this 3 code process surgery billed to insurance is very overly aggressive for reimbursements, i.e. fusion of midfoot along billed at $10,964, harvesting bone graft $5622, , and correction of bunion $5622. there is an ongoing possible class action investigation into the company for Securities Violations against Treace medical Concepts for false, misleading statements to investors on the capabilities and future success of this surgical kit. Based on my experience having this miserable surgery failed in just days, I feel swindled, mislead, pushed into a high risk untested system with my unique Osteoporosis risk profile, and senior age this should not have been an option. I'm disabled from carrying on my normal life routine, still in a awful walking boot at nine weeks, foot is too fragile and swollen to wear a supportive regular shoe.
