I didn't have a reservation and knew I'd be arriving late and leaving early in the morning. When I called, the voicemail greeting clearly explained how to check in. It didn't make total sense at first, but when I arrived after hours, everything was perfectly organized. A registration packet with a map and an envelope for payment or credit card info was waiting at the office. I truly appreciate this honor system, it shows a level of trust and integrity from the owner that's rare to find. This place has it all: full hookups, showers, a pool, and even a jacuzzi. The guests here are super friendly, it really feels like a whole other community. Since I was already gone by morning, the staff emailed me a receipt as soon as they got into the office. I was in space 8 that backs up to the dirt field and the freeway noise along with air traffic noise, the RV park is in the flight path Deer Valley Airport. First day the water was shut off without notice, an email would have been nice. We called the office and they stated not knowing when the water would be turned back on. Good thing we had some water in our tank. The next day the power kept turning off and on. We were running on battery. Check in is at 11:00, which gives the RV park staff time to check the space for any issues and pick up trash before the next guest arrives at 3:00. There was trash around my space and space 7. Driving around the RV park appeared to be nice, a lot of snowbirds that have dug in. Over all not a terrible RV park.

We chose Desert Edge RV Park because everyone seemed so nice at first -- big mistake. We were constantly treated like trash by the front office and talked down to by management. When we had neighbors leaving nails under vehicles, the office's only response was to ask if we had cameras on our camper -- seriously, who has cameras on their camper?! The laundromat and bathrooms were down more often than not because of ongoing water issues, and they regularly shut off the water to the sites for "maintenance." The spots are hard to distinguish, there are potholes everywhere, and for what they charge, you'd think they could fix the roads before someone's trailer gets damaged. It doesn't rain much in Arizona, but when it does, this place is not prepared for flash flooding. The landscaping is barely maintained, but if you're even a day late on your payment, they hit you with a $50-per-day late fee. They have strict rules and high expectations for guests but don't hold themselves to the same standards. Save yourself the stress -- we will not be back.

I do not recommend this campground if you are in a large coach!…read more When I reserved this spot for the winter, I was told this was a big rig pull through spot, which obviously it wasn't. The sites in the area were an after thought to add on to the original campground. There are no concrete patios and/or even gravel for these sites. The empty site in the photos is covered with broken glass. We picked up lots of nails and screws from the area around us. By the way, those cones cover open holes to some sort of septic overflow. There is no simple campground landscape maintenance, such as weed-whacking and basic cleaning of the grounds. I wouldn't put my dog in the little dog run because it is covered with feces. We vacated after 2 months. Now despite giving Kelly 2 weeks notice of our intent to vacate the space, and her informing me that she had a tenant moving into that space the day we vacated, I have received an invoice for space rent and late notices, and no response from Kelly to fix this issue. As a positive note, this could be a nice place if the owners would put some money back into the grounds and hire managers who are capable of maintaining the property.

Stayed here for 8 nights.......this is what we experienced…read more Pros: * Huge spaces.....we had not only our 35 ft camper, but plenty of room to park the truck and car * Easy entrance / Exit * Great price/value * Nice rocked camping sites.....no need to worry about the dirt tracking indoors * Close to I-17.....and a short distance to the 303 and the 101 * Fry's Food Store less than 2 miles away * 2 exits north is a Walmart and what's left of the Outlet mall (which was a huge disappointment) Cons: * Zero Shade and too windy to use your canopy for shade * Bathrooms and amenities were too far away to walk. They are located right in the middle of park. * No staff was available when we checked in, we tried calling and even walked around inside the building....but nothing. We did end up in the wrong stop. But they left us there anyhow * VERY noisy in the mornings. There are permanent spots in the back, and each day......diesel trucks and Harley's drive back and forth. So peak quite time is from 11pm to 6am. * Also......If you are bothered by guns shots, this may not be your place.......(personally it doesn't bug me).....there is Ben Avery Shooting Facility on the other side of the foothill.

We travel to Phoenix every year for Baseball Spring Training. After seeing a few games, we like to…read morecontinue our travels in our travel trailer. Finding a RV park to stay can be difficult because of the popularity of Spring Training & the many snowbirds who are visiting this great wintering area. So we felt lucky to get 3 nights here. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our site & guided in. Our friendly guide gave us directions on exiting (a little tricky), and getting to nearby shopping & restaurants. Many residents here are long-term, so it makes for a quiet atmosphere. But being close to highway 17, there is always traffic noise. The site we stayed in was spacious level gravel so we didn't use leveling blocks. The full hookups were easy to interface. There was no picnic table or shade. Wi-Fi is only available at the clubhouse; cell reception was good (T-mobile 3 bars). Restrooms & showers weren't fancy but clean. Ice machine & filtered water dispenser outside the laundry was a nice convenience. We were busy in town all day either at the games or visiting friends so we didn't use the small pool. Overall a nice place that we'd stay again.
