To do so, clear communication was needed for proofs to be edited and approved. She also needed electronic forms of payment, and a dedicated employee to email back and forth with, and at times hop on the phone for clarification. Acme Prints handled it with as much ease as I would've while printing a word document with my home printer. That actually can be tricky sometimes, so bad analogy. Nevertheless, Acme Prints, specially Vida, made this job a complete breeze, and when faced with large projects there shouldn't be a thought to go anywhere else. Oh, and did I mention the price was unbeatable and the the production turnaround time was about 8 days? Yeah...I can't wait to work with them again either.

Stefani was ok until you're honest. She was legitimately arguing w me about spacing on a business card I had designed prior to them. I measured it. It is CLEARLY off centered which totally ruins the business card. I asked for a replacement cause I need consistent production. And they say, NO it's ok we will refund. So a business walks away from revenue!? If I was the owner I would fire that employee. If I was the owner, I WOULD MAKE SURE it's done correctly and I would not stop until my CUSTOMER is 100% satisfied. I am here to save small business owners a headache and time lost. Money comes back, time does not.

We were able to get a water bottle engraved and I've been using it daily ever since. I explored the space more and saw that they had several 3D printers, large photo/poster printers, vinyl cutters, sewing machines, laser cutter, metal and wood workshop, and probably more that I missed. Membership is free to MCCCD students, faculty and staff and they charge at cost for materials, which is a great deal. It's open to the public as well and they have membership options. Staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and easy to chat with. I would love to come back and explore more of their offerings!

I came to PADT with an existing prototype and asked Adam to help me redesign and get it ready for manufacturing (remember the key word *get it ready for manufacturing*). He says he can do all of that for not more than $7000. This is the second cheapest quote I've gotten. He delivers incomplete CAD files which I later find out ($4,700 worth of useless CAD files). Why is it useless? It failed to capture the interior of the prototype and how it's held together. This brainiac decides to guess how the interior of the prototype is held together and leave the interior empty in the CAD files and super glue it closed in the 3D printed prototype. The flimsy 3D printed prototype costs $600, I'm short almost $5000+ now *Also keep in mind I had not realized he guessed the interior of the prototype i gave him to redesign* So I ask about manufacturing materials after receiving my prototype and he points me to another guy called Jeff who tells me it's going to cost $20,000 - $1M for advice and research to get my product ready for manufacturing which does not include tooling, materials, packaging and etc (remember earlier I asked Adam to help redesign and get my prototype ready for manufacturing now he can't help but points me to someone else). I'm stunned it'll cost this much for advice! I wonder how much it'll cost for actually manufacturing. This also bright brainiac suggests raising money from family and friends (I now remember the shark tank episode when entrepreneurs would spend almost a quarter of a million developing a prototype and have no sales. God forbid that will be me!). I decided to get a list of other manufacturers here and abroad and get to the next step. My prototype cracks and I decided to take a deeper look at it. That's when I realized the CAD files and the prototype they produced were missing the interior and the brainiac Adam decided to glue it. I unravel my prototype (the one I created for PADT to redesign) and send them what they missed in the CAD files. Lucky for me I haven't made any purchase orders yet. They tell me it's going to costs more money to make the CAD file of what they missed. Now I'm furious and ask for a refund. Steve the manager contacts me and tries to rationalize why I should give them more money to create a CAD file of the interior. I ask how much it'll cost and he replies $400 (I'm thinking now $400 more and I'll have complete CAD files and never do business with these people). Worst of all they created CAD files for show and not for manufacturing. I agree to pay an additional $400. Guess what! They missed another part in the CAD file AGAIN. Now they're asking for more money for the last part of the CAD file they missed. I'm now taking the necessary actions within my rights. Stay away from PADT and all predatorial companies like them!
