Unfortunately, I have to be in a Wi-Fi area in order to use my phone like that. And they don't have Wi-Fi. I needed very specific things size wise. And you're not allowed to open packaging but when you pick up a lamp and you lightly shake it and you hear broken glass, but you're not allowed to open up the package and see what exactly broke why bother buying it at half price if you're not gonna be able to use it. This happened repeatedly also I was looking for a specific size bathroom medicine cabinet. Since much of the writing on the boxes didn't have dimensions, and I couldn't open the boxes because it's against the rules. I could find boxes that I think might've had the right sized item inside but I really couldn't take the gamble especially when I can't see if they're scratches or dents or a door ripped off, etc. I think the only thing I will come back here for is tile. If you're doing a craft project and you need a few pieces of tile or you're doing something special to cover a table top and you only need a few feet. This is the place to come for the tile. Unfortunately, the majority of the tile is not labeled and not priced and I hate having to run up to the counter every single time I find something to find out how much it's gonna cost. It's just ridiculous. I found a similar place, not too far away, where the people don't mind if you open the items to look at them and they will even go so far as to take a light fixture and wire it to a test area to show you that it works. So I think I will keep going to this other place instead.

Since I have a…read moresmall truck that only holds 1/2 ton at a time comfortably they let me take 1/2 ton and come back for the other 1/2 ton (same day) and charge me the less expensive 1 ton rate instead of 1/2 ton rate x 2. Most recently I wanted the 3/8 inch which they told me comes in a minimum of 10 tons delivered. I felt like it was a reasonable price for an enormous amount of rock, especially delivered. I was happy with the delivery and quality of material.

I had asked if there was anyone that can help me strap the material down. He said no. He only went to look for someone once I said please off load the material and give me back the paper I signed. He didn't even try to search before saying no the first time. I know they aren't obligated to help me strap down, but I am still a customer. Why not at least check before refusing? He didn't even offer an explanation such as the guys being on lunch or being short staffed....or anything. That was rude. We'll still continue to buy from them as their prices are cheap and quality is good. However, if we need material faster, I will recommend to boss man that we shop around in order to avoid a similar interaction.

Prepay or COD is fine with me and I have always prepaid with a credit card or COD. A couple different salespeople in years past have implied or made it clear they don't appreciate small orders, so I make fill in orders through the year elsewhere saving my large stock orders for Coast. Last year I had some difficulty dealing with my sales rep, but I eventually placed the order. This year it has been an exercise in frustration dealing with two different sales reps now, platinum card in hand trying to complete an order. I try to make it easy for them. I email them a list of what I need, after getting pricing I call to make any adjustments, and pay right then. They don't have to do much except give me the price and take my money. I only bother them when I am making a bigger (for me) order. Enough I hoped to make it worth their while. I'm on my second sales rep, and into my second week without being able to complete and pay for my order. I told them I am willing to spend the day on the road and truck my own if they don't have enough in my are to send a truck, and I even volunteered to pickup orders for other customers in my area to help out at no charge or discount expected. I have not even heard back from the sales rep I have been pawned off on. So, if you are with Coast and you read this review, tell me what I did wrong to not be able to buy from you. What can I do to make it even easier for you. I pay upfront and don't require a lot of interaction already. Just complete my quote and take my call so I can pay you. When they have a truck to my area my delivery drivers have all been very good. Very easy to work with and very helpful in getting my order off their truck. Surprisingly pleasant compared to my sales experience. I'd give my experience with their truck drivers five stars. Not afraid to stand behind what I say either.
