I spent a lot of time researching microblading and needling schools in Phoenix, Arizona, and…read morehonestly, I didn't know where to begin at first. Most programs I found were only 2-3 days long and mainly included a tattoo gun. For the price and the short duration, I was worried I wouldn't learn enough--especially since many schools only taught a couple of techniques or just one service like brows or lip liner. Then I came across Brow Me Pretty Academy with Eveline, and I immediately felt like I found exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a program long enough to truly understand not only the techniques, but also the theory and business knowledge needed to start a career. I ended up getting even more than I expected. While I was comparing different courses, I also paid close attention to the kits they came with. Eveline offered two types of starter kits, and both included everything you need to begin practicing confidently. She even provides information on where to purchase additional supplies. Many other courses only offered a very small kit--or just a tattoo machine--which didn't feel worth the investment. For the amount of money you're spending, a good starter kit is essential. This was another sign to me that Eveline is incredibly detailed and genuinely cares about her students' success. The course is two weeks long, which I loved. The first week is online and comes with two detailed manuals--one for blading and one for shading. This is a manual microblading and shading course (not a machine class). The books are packed with essential information for beginners: when you should avoid working on someone, skin types and how they affect healed results, choosing the right brow style, mapping (including correcting difficult brows), color theory, color correction, and even guidance on starting your business. The second week is completely hands-on. You work side by side with Eveline as she walks you through the techniques and shows how the theory ties into real daily work. This week really helped everything click for me--I became confident with the tools and the process. We also shadow her and work on two models for our final, which was a big reason I chose this academy. Unlike other schools where students only get to do a couple of strokes on a shared model, here you get actual meaningful practice. If you're going to invest in your education, I highly recommend choosing Eveline's full program. Her academy is one of only two schools in Phoenix accredited by the education board, meaning you leave with a legitimate certification. That's so important--I'm truly grateful I found her, because I would have been devastated to spend my hard-earned money on a certificate that holds no real value. There are only two licensed instructors in Phoenix, so choose your school carefully. I'm very glad I chose Brow Me Pretty Academy.

My brows have has always been a struggle for me everyday due to overplucking and sparse hairs. Getting ready in the morning is SO much easier now, and I feel confident even without makeup because my brows look so perfect. Not only is her work amazing, but she is also the sweetest person. She made me feel so comfortable from start to finish, explaining every single step, answering all my questions, and making sure I was fully involved in the process. I never felt rushed, and she truly cared about making sure I loved the end result (which I do, my brows are perfect) !!! If you're considering microblading, COME SEE HER!!! She's professional, talented, and so kind. I couldn't be happier with my brows, and I'm so grateful for her amazing work!

I bought a Groupon for henna eyebrows at Eyebrows and More on December 30, 2024. Microblading…read moreService | Eyebrows and more | Phoenix. I made an appointment for Monday, January 20 at 2pm. When asked, I told Maria, the person who would be doing my eyebrows that I had never had henna eyebrows done before but was looking forward to it. She was very professional and took her time mapping out a very nicely shaped brow for my face. That night, I started feeling my forehead area starting to itch and by the next day I had a rash where my eyebrows were. I texted pictures to Maria and she suggested I cleanse the area with Cetaphil and apply aquaphor. By Wednesday I had blisters and was in a lot of pain. She suggested that the micro-needling I had the week before I saw her could be the reason for the serious rash, although I've never had a bad reaction to micro-needling. I went to urgent care on Thursday morning. The doctor said he had seen these henna brow rashes before and I should have had a skin test done before the henna was applied to my face. I asked him if the micro-needling could have been part of the reason and he said no...it was a severe allergic reaction to the henna brow treatment. He prescribed a course of prednisone, which helped a lot, although I still have some of the rash and swelling over 2 weeks later. The henna brows had disappeared within the first 4 days after taking measures to help reduce the itching and swelling. I asked Maria to cover the $25 urgent care bill and the $15 for medications. I also asked for a refund for the procedure. She said she would pay for the doctor and my meds but would not refund the Groupon amount. She would only cover the other costs if I signed a lengthy NDA (non-disclosure agreement) that stated I would not come back with any other claims in the future, due to the henna brow. I refused to sign the document as it was written. She was supposed to re-write it within 48 hours but I never heard back from her. I have decided that the $40 worth of medical costs she was going to reimburse me is not worth signing away my rights to write a review or for possible future issues that may arise due to the procedure. Maria was very apologetic and said she would change her policies to suggest a skin test for people who had never used eyebrow henna. She had never personally seen this reaction in any of her previous clients. She did seem very sincerely sorry this happened. Henna brow allergy does occur in some people and skin tests are recommended for people to make sure it's safe before applying it to the skin. I hope she follows through with this for her new customers in the future.
