I was just a walk-in and had been meaning to try the place out. Glad I did. It does have the "Old School" barbershop vibe. The young men that were working the day I went had some good banter going and also seemed to know their customers well. They seem dedicated to their craft. Had a bit of a wait, I think it was maybe 15 min or so but there's a lot of conversation and also tvs with games on so it passed quickly. Did a great job cleaning me up. Conversation flow was perfect. Never forced and plenty of quiet time. It really met me at my level. This will be my spot from now on. The boys at Tatum Ranch Barbershop know how to cut hair! I moved to the area a few years back and have had some really bad haircuts along the way... Until I found this place. Mike is my go to and he has never left me second guessing my decision to see him. Being Asian, my hair can be hard to deal with for folks that don't have a lot of experience but Mike does a great job every time. I have also started bringing my three kids for cuts and one of them even said, "this is the best haircut I've ever had" after his appointment. If you are looking for a barbershop that does a great job and is fun to visit, then look no further! Albert and Mike have always set me up right. I came to this place for the first time 2 years ago and Mike helped me get my combover done better than anywhere else. These guys are easy to talk to and remember so much about the things I'll talk about for the next time I come in. They've also helped me out on keeping my hair grow out but make it look good for when I switched to a mullet and even then they have given me wonderful haircuts with the mullet. This place said they were open on Saturdays via Yelp... I even called to confirm, but nobody picked up the phone after ringing numerous times. Barber Shop / Alteration Store had a sign that said it was "OPEN." I walk into the shop, Alteration Staff tells me that "the barber shop is open, but the barber doesn't cut hair on Saturday." Total mixed message and waste of time. If you don't want frustrated customers who drive over 15 minutes, update your Yelp hours and your Barber Shop sign. read more

You wouldn't think this would be a good place to take children for haircuts, but it is! They are patient, have boosters and will put cartoons on the tv for them. They are efficient, and still do a really good job. You can now make appointments which really helps with kids. These guys maybe good barbers. I don't know because I am folically challenged. I would never ever take my shoes there to get shined or use their other services. I was charged $20 without authorizing the work. When I dropped the shoes off I was told they would call me with a price...because apparently they didn't know how much they wanted to rip me off for at that point. These guys are the real deal. Friendly young dudes Albert and Mike know their stuff. Albert took care of me with an on-point haircut. OK, I sport a buzzcut, and other barbers usually just snap on a #2 guard and run the clippers over my head; 5 minutes and done. Albert did a combination of clipper over comb and scissor work, taking his time to get every hair right. Spent a half-hour on it. I never knew there'd be a difference in a simple buzzcut, but it looked super sharp. He put a hot towel on my head and neck, and then with shaving cream he straight razor shaved my neck to finish off the haircut. So relaxing. After that, I went for the traditional hot-towel straight razor shave to get rid of my 3-day weekend beard. Albert mowed off the stubble with clippers first, which he said would make the shave more comfortable. He was right, because it was one of the smoothest barber shaves I'd ever had. Various creams and oils were applied to soften the beard, along with hot and icy towels along the way which made it a super pampering experience. Guys, if you've never had a barbershop shave before, it's something you need to do. Trust me. This was old-school traditional barbering at its best. Great to see the young generation carrying on the Barber traditions. I wish these guys much success in their new business. And judging from my experience today, they will be a successful business for a long time to come. read more
