I really don't want to write this but due to the lack of communication i am very frustrated. I got my brows and lashes done two days ago for my wedding next week. My brows look amazing I will not down play that she did a good job. But I did pay $45 + tip for a lash lift that literally looks like nothing was done to them. I will post pics of my lashes the VERY NEXT AFTERNOON 24 hours after my lift and you can't tell anyone touched them. I have gotten a lift before from a different place and everyone comments on it and it's extremely noticeable given I never wear make up. I called and left a voicemail telling her I was displeased and wondering if we could work on a refund strictly for my lashes as I was very pleased with my brows.... It's been over 24 hours now and no response, text or phone called return. My wedding is in 3 days and now I have to scramble to find someone with availability to do my lashes AGAIN as I need them done asap before getting married. I'm upset with the lack of empathy from the owner and will not be returning. read more

I'm going to be finding someone new. I'm newer to the area and was (and still am) desperate to find a place for proper eyebrow shaping. So I started going to Laura as I found her here on Yelp with great reviews and seemed to do the kind of work I was looking for (and aesthetician who shapes etc. compared to just doing a strip rip and you're done). My first appointment or 2 were great. Just what I was looking for. But then the quality went downhill. The next time, they were too thick, uneven and hair started growing back after 2 days. Plus they really weren't trimmed as wanted/usual. I went again thinking it was a one time thing. Nope, same thing again. So, I am done trying. I gave chances. Apparently her care/quality has gone down. Plus I always felt like I was being sold to. Every time I'd be pushed to do a brow tint, and when I turned it down, she acted like I was weird and it was a let down I wasn't getting one. There's got to be someone better in the area. read more

Laura, you are a brow magician! My roommate Jessica went to her last week and I was so impressed with her results that I booked my appointment immediately after. These are the times I thank God for Yelp, I never would have found her in the remote building she is in without all of her amazing reviews! Walking up, her room has a cute chandelier, teal mirrors, and "Are You Mine?" on her macbook. I felt at home immediately. When I told her I wanted to thicken up my eyebrows and reshape them, she worked her pencil stenciling skills and showed me exactly where she was going to shape them, telling me exactly what she was going to trim, pluck, and keep. When I was lying down, she kept the conversation light and funny, giving me local suggestions and really making me feel like I was talking to more of a friend than a new beautician. She gave her full attention to zeroing in on my brows, making sure to give me the best results possible--and I can't express how pleased I was with the results! They are perfectly trimmed, sleek and "on point". She even told me I was 90% of the way to my "dream brows" and we set my next appointment on site. I'm not afraid to admit it, I found out about Laura through a mutual follow on instagram. That's right. And well, I had been looking for a new brow person since the one recommended near my house is clearly a dud. I'm not a girlie girl either, so I get my brows waxed like um a few times a year. Thankfully I don't really have bushman eyebrows to begin with. However, I've been having them waxed for over a decade so I know a good waxer when I come across one. And Laura is good. I first met Laura when she worked at "The Brow Lady" in Scottsdale - and from that appointment I knew my brows & I would follow her wherever she went. I have very fair, sensitive skin. Normally when I would get my eyebrows waxed, I would leave looking like a clown - VERY red puffy spots all around my eyes, that would last for hours. Also, I don't like having super thin eyebrows, and every other spot I went to would thin me out even with my begging not to. I was so frustrated, and SO happy to find Laura! First and foremost, Laura is just good people. She's very nice, outgoing, funny and sweet. Second, she's SO good at what she does. I've had 3 visits with Laura before writing this review, and I'm glad I waited to compose this. The first 2 times, she did a good job but I wasn't as impressed with her work as some of the other reviewers. Each time I showed up my appointments, I brought with me the same over-sized color photo of myself featuring my best eye brow shape. Nearly 5 years ago, I lived in Honolulu and met a perfectionist at a salon who shaped my brows the way they should be shaped, and took photos. Since moving away, I've never been fully satisfied with my brows. I believe Laura is the only waxer in the Valley that I've tried who has gotten this close to perfect. (It's like she's the only one in the valley who I met who can follow a photo.) I believe it took a few cycles of hair growth for my brows to bounce back from having been murdered by someone else at a different salon. SHE'S THE BEST IN THE VALLEY! read more

For nervous or uncertain wax-ees, she definitely has the aura of someone capable and trustworthy - you'll have no doubt you're in good hands. And you'll be absolutely right! The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that her technique involves wax for the main parts and then plucking for the rest - feels nicer, looks better right afterwards (which is particularly useful for short-notice instances), but just doesn't last as long as a regular mostly-wax brow job. read more

I've been seeing Laura since 2008. She is pure magic! She enhances the natural shape of my brow! Before I found her, I would suffer redness and puffiness that would take a day to heal. I even went in there for a wax, fully expecting pain because I had been using a retinol product (not nightly, and I know not a good idea to do this, but whatever)...and to my complete surprise and joy, it did not sting except the slightest and that was SO much better than I anticipated or deserved for being so careless. She's very sweet and definitely knows what she's doing. Payment is super easy, which is a bonus. You don't need to worry about bringing cash, because you can pay/tip using your card. Also, I've had problems with esthiticians (sp? lol I can't spell) waxing my brows too thin and not arching them well, but this doesn't apply to Laura.
