This is my first time there and Alison knew exactly how to make me love my hair again. I have very thick, straight hair and I need regular debulking. I'm considering growing my hair out again, but I worried that maybe the cut wouldn't help me reach that goal and I'd be stuck with helmet hair until there was enough for a different style. DONT go here. I'm not even going to rate this place. Allison totally screwed up my Blonde hair. I'd never been there before and I could tell she was not happy to be working. My hair had a black streak all around my head. Took me 2 weeks and 400.00 later to get this fixed. She used the WRONG hair color even though I brought a bottle and my own instructions. I swear she did it on purpose. The owner thought it looked great. Of course she did. But they offered to highlight it to fix it. Really? Even I know that isn't going to fix a total screw up. Adorable salon, all the stylists are friendly and have always left loving my hair! Never had a bad experience

I went there two years ago and loved the results, went back today and left a crying mess. I have VERY curly hair and asked for only the ends to be trimmed and evened out--that's it, just a trim. I was given choppy "layers" that now sit above my chin below my eyes while the bottom "layer" is sitting at my shoulders. There's no angling or blending. The right side of my hair sits a full half inch above the left side. I ran out of there as fast as I could to cry in my car in peace. If you have any hair type beyond pin straight, I would not recommend this place as they have no idea what they're doing. read more

Merrim did a fantastic job with my daughter's hair. when I made the appt i told Mercian that We had had very bad experiences at different salon in Olathe and asked she be honest with my daughter on her hair and colors she wanted. . Merrim did such an excellent job, asked my daughter her opinions, and took her time to get it just right. My daughter is over the moon. Merrim spent four hours to get it perfect. Thank you so much. If I could give this place a negative five star I absolutely would! This salon is unkept, always dirty, hair sticking to the floor and the wax pots. The staff is crass and unprofessional. I have never seen such a disgusting salon in my life. Makeup products and facial treatments are Mary Kay which is ok I guess but not my idea of salon or spa quality. If I were to judge what I might look like if I had my hair done here by looking at the hair stylists, let's just say I won't go there. Design Co. is the only place I get my hair done. April has achieved every style and color I have wanted with ease-including bring my hair to a beautiful white blonde without all the damage. I've always had a great experience here. I have short hair, and Tasha always gives me a FANTASTIC haircut. Prices are reasonable, and I've never been unhappy with the level of service. I believe this is a REDKEN salon, so they use and sell the REDKEN products. I've also had a manicure here - got it done with gel polish... they use the CND Shellac products for that, which is top of the line. I do believe they also do pedicures and waxing here, but I personally have not had those services performed for me. Definitely a great place to go for a haircut!!! read more

Last Saturday, I went to get my hair done. A week later I couldn't hate my hair more, chalk this one up to the worst dye jobs I have ever had! Problem is I won't let the person who did my hair correct it again because this would be the third time. I went to another salon to get a deep conditioning treatment and the new styles had to cut my hair even short because of how damaged it got. I think overall I lost 6 inches off my hair. I ALWAYS have long hair, I would NOT recommend this salon. If you are looking for professionalism, this isn't the place. Now I hate my hair and I am out $200. Not happy. read more

If I could give zero stars then I would...I went here recently for the first time, as I just moved to the area. I showed the stylist a picture and also talked to her at length because I have tricky hair to cut. This is without question the worst haircut I have ever gotten with horrible layers and completely uneven. I spoke with the owner the next day and she asked me to send her photos of my hair and the picture I showed the stylist and told me that she would "check her schedule for next week and see if she could fit me in" and then never responded to the text I sent her with the pictures that she requested. I went back to my hometown (2 1/2 hours away) and had my stylist there fix my hair. Which means that my hair that was midway down my back is now above my shoulders. I will be requesting a refund for the haircut... Update--sent a message to the owner and she ignored that one as well. Customer service is not a priority for her, apparently. read more

The person I had the appointment with never acknowledged me, and she wasn't pointed out to me. I used go there all the time to get my hair cut but here lately they have really dropped the ball on their customer service. Today I scheduled an appointment with one of the stylist and she never even showed up. All I needed was a trim done on my hair and there was other stylist available with not a single other client in the building still I guess no one wanted to take my money. Went to fantasic Sams just down the street off of moonlight and received a wonderful hair cut there. In my opinion don't waste your time with this place because they don't care about their clients, and do you really want those type of people cutting your hair?? I don't think so. read more
