I would give zero stars if they allowed it. We ordered flowers for my husbands mom for Mother's Day. A very beautiful and EXPENSIVE arrangement. She sent us a photo when it was delivered and we were utterly APPALLED by what we saw. Not only did it look NOTHING like arrangement we paid for, it had maybe half the flowers it should have (see pic). After about 2 hours spent between online chats and a phone conversation that went around in circles for a good 30 minutes a replacement arrangement was ordered and was delivered the next day. This one was fuller, but again looked NOTHING like the photo. I thought about demanding a refund, but my mother in law was happy with them and their customer service is so horrible I just didn't have the heart to deal with them again. And I will never order from them again. I will never use this company again. read more

To keep it simple the first picture is what I ordered from their website. The flowers in the basket are what was sent...I called and told them that was not what I ordered and they remade it for me which was nice and my mother got to keep the wrong flowers as well. However, the second set of flowers they remade look nothing like the website picture. I get it won't look exactly like the photo but there is hardly any lillies and I paid for premium and the vase is a dark green. Very disappointing. I won't call back again and ask for a refund, I just now know to never use them, especially for my wedding comming up. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I ordered flowers to be delivered. The day of delivery, I get a voicemail to call them. I call, the rep. cant figure out why. My SIL told me there was an attempted delivery. I call back bc the rep didn't call back like he said. I'm now told the florist was too busy to make flowers, so they can "try" to deliver the next day, but that wouldn't work. At the end of the call where the reps refuse to do anything, my order is cancelled and my money is refunded. I had to go to a local florist and pay a premium for next day delivery. Just call a local place and forget this company. read more

So my colleague got a "Congratulations to the Happy Couple" card with the flowers at her father's funeral. I called and when I asked for a supervisor was told the supervisor was on a call. I said I expect a call back same day... yeah that didnt happen. Train your managers to return calls, and for the love of all things holy, teach your agent florists what is/not appropriate to substitute. I'm in a hospital bed with an amputated leg. I'm completely helpless but have had great help from the McLaren Oakland staff. I wanted to do something nice, so I ordered flowers from 1800flowers. BIG MISTAKE! FIRST the got the order wrong. Then instead of coming to the hospital, they went to my house after assuring me the delivery address was correct and there would be no problem. Now they are saying I cannot have my order today. So much for a surprise for my essential workers. This is UNACCEPTABLE. To make it worse, they farm complaints to India. My 90 year old mother and I ordered the arrangement 2 weeks prior to the memorial service, paid in full, was assured it would be beautiful and they "FORGOT " the order. This is a review of 1800flowers.com I've taken a couple of days to think over this review, I wanted to think about whether I was being unreasonable or not. I was not being unreasonable in asking for a refund and an apology. 1-800-Flowers angered me over mothers day with the garbage that they sent. They angered me when they had a recording on the phone that said no changes could be made to any order because they were too busy. What topped it off was the way I was treated on the phone when I called and finally got someone to answer. They refunded me the price of the bouquet sent to my mother, I use bouquet loosely, and a better description would be flowers from the ditch. I am now dealing directly with PayPal to get my refund on the other two items I purchased. NEVER AGAIN! Worst experience ever. I ordered three Christmas baskets and no lie, it took two hours. The call center disconnected me three times. The online chat person kept disconnecting. I felt like I was being punked. I spent $300.00 and I'm exhausted and frustrated and I have zero confidence they got the three addresses and gifts correctly recorded. Well after taking my 100.00 the delivery date changed to Wednesday so yesterday "Wed" I check to see what time they will be delivered and low and behold the date changed to November 28th 2020 WTH? The flowers were maybe half as pretty as what was advertised. I ordered days in advance and the arrangement wasn't delivered until 2:00 pm on the day of the viewing. Overall, a very disappointing experience that was not worth the money I paid. Save your money, this service does not make it easier than going through your local florist. Heads up folks - lots of people are sending flowers to loved ones this time of year. Well if you're planning on sending flowers, please at all costs avoid 1-800-Flowers. I ordered some flowers, and paid extra for same-day delivery. I received confirmation that they had received the order and it was being processed. Now I get a voice mail message that, so sorry, they can't fulfill the order. I tried to call customer service to talk to someone, and was on hold for over an hour (and they don't even have canned music - I listened to their COVID-19 message 135 times - yes, I started counting!) . Finally I went on FB to try to connect with them that way. I IM'd them and got a reply right away. I was offered a $20 refund and delivery another day, which I declined. When I mentioned a refund, they stopped responding. So now I get to try to dispute the charge with my bank. These jokers are a scam, so please don't waste your hard-earned money with them. read more

When I went to her house and saw the flowers I was surprised to see it put together with what I would call "filler" flowers. I am livid!!!!!! I ordered a gift basket for my husband that was supposed to be delivered as a surprise for FATHER'S DAY to our hotel room. It was supposed to come on Friday. I then received an email that it wouldn't be there until Monday (after Father's Day). We wouldn't even still be at that location on Monday. So I had to have it redirected to my home. It is now Tuesday and still no gift. I've called 10 times since that Friday. Each time I was told I would receive confirmation of this that or the other and I've never received confirmation. I asked for a full refund. I was told I'd get one but I still haven't received the email about that. They keep trying to give me $20 off coupons even though I firmly expressed that I will NEVER use this service again. I spent $250 on magnificent roses with them and I had no problems. This should have been so simple and I really feel like nothing was resolved. I would not recommend having food baskets delivered as a gift. Too much of a hassle. read more

My Boyfriend ordered my Mom a Beautiful cute Get Well Doggie Howser M.D Flower Arrangement to wish her a fast Recovery after having back surgery. Told the missing items would be delivered the next day by noon as of 4:30pm the missing items still have not arrived. Customer Service doesn't help. Their 100% guarantee doesn't seem to exist. Just wish I had checked the yelp rating before I did business with them. Next call to the charge card company to reverse the charge. Posting on Yelp really does work. Just got a call from 1800flowers and they agreed to a refund in 3 to 5 days. Guess we will see. Perhaps there will be a satisfactory solution? Last update. Just another lie from 1800 flowers. AWFUL SERVICE! This was a review/comment I left on the 1-800 flowers contact section of the website. I am writing in regards to a recent order I placed that was to be sent to a funeral home. There was a mix up with dates of the funeral and the arrangement then needed to be sent to a home address. I provided your company the updated address on 10/10 and then received 4 phone calls in the span of the next three days repeating the situation about the re-delivery and asking for the new address...over and over and over again! At this point the arrangement still hasn't been delivered to the grieving family, due to this company. Every person who has contacted me has been very incompetent in regards to dealing with this issue and has made this process very frustrating. I would also like to inform the company that I will NEVER order flowers from this establishment ever again. This company was suppose to deliver chocolates and flowers for V-day but I mistakenly put it for the day before V-day and called cooperate and the lady says she cant cancel an order and would have them call me back in an hour and here I am 3 hours later waiting. Let me explain - I worked with 800flowers years ago as a developer on their first website. I have fond memories of working with the owners (McCanns) and remembered that the organization believed in quality service and products. Jumping ahead 15 years, their company and customer service has totally tanked. I had ordered some flowers for my son and put the wrong apt number in and he did not get the flowers. So I reordered ,and put in the correct address. Then I got a text that he had picked up the flowers from the other apartment so I tried to cancel the second order. 20 minutes on the phone with someone who was almost impossible to understand and who's only job seemed to be to prevent me from canceling the order. Then we get to the point where I'm told that, even though the order won't be delivered for 6 days, it's already been created and sent to FedEx so she can't cancel it. If that's true, which I don't believe it is, no wonder so many people complain of dead flowers. I do not think that I am a happy camper of that 800flowers believes in their 100% smile guarantee. read more

Eventually after being on the phone for over an hour they were able find my forth option in arrangements and offered free next day delivery! If I could rate them at a 0, I would! I I I I Received the wrong order TWICE (& both times they were BROKEN), and was told I would receive a full refund for the order. I NEVER received the full refund, and when I called to ask why that was I was told that I "was never told that I could receive a full refund". I had several phone calls with them, and was hung up on TWICE by two different representatives when I was told I was being "put on hold". The only resolution is to send another order the same way...in hot weather in a box with no water or refrigeration coming from a city many hours away via fedex or ups.
