I would give zero stars if they allowed it. We ordered flowers for my husbands mom for Mother's Day. A very beautiful and EXPENSIVE arrangement. She sent us a photo when it was delivered and we were utterly APPALLED by what we saw. Not only did it look NOTHING like arrangement we paid for, it had maybe half the flowers it should have (see pic). After about 2 hours spent between online chats and a phone conversation that went around in circles for a good 30 minutes a replacement arrangement was ordered and was delivered the next day. This one was fuller, but again looked NOTHING like the photo. I thought about demanding a refund, but my mother in law was happy with them and their customer service is so horrible I just didn't have the heart to deal with them again. And I will never order from them again. I will never use this company again. read more

I ordered flowers to be delivered. The day of delivery, I get a voicemail to call them. I call, the rep. cant figure out why. My SIL told me there was an attempted delivery. I call back bc the rep didn't call back like he said. I'm now told the florist was too busy to make flowers, so they can "try" to deliver the next day, but that wouldn't work. At the end of the call where the reps refuse to do anything, my order is cancelled and my money is refunded. I had to go to a local florist and pay a premium for next day delivery. So my colleague got a "Congratulations to the Happy Couple" card with the flowers at her father's funeral. I called and when I asked for a supervisor was told the supervisor was on a call. I said I expect a call back same day... yeah that didnt happen. Train your managers to return calls, and for the love of all things holy, teach your agent florists what is/not appropriate to substitute. I'm in a hospital bed with an amputated leg. I'm completely helpless but have had great help from the McLaren Oakland staff. I wanted to do something nice, so I ordered flowers from 1800flowers. BIG MISTAKE! FIRST the got the order wrong. Then instead of coming to the hospital, they went to my house after assuring me the delivery address was correct and there would be no problem. Now they are saying I cannot have my order today. So much for a surprise for my essential workers. This is UNACCEPTABLE. To make it worse, they farm complaints to India. Worst experience ever. I ordered three Christmas baskets and no lie, it took two hours. The call center disconnected me three times. The online chat person kept disconnecting. I felt like I was being punked. I spent $300.00 and I'm exhausted and frustrated and I have zero confidence they got the three addresses and gifts correctly recorded. This is a review of 1800flowers.com I've taken a couple of days to think over this review, I wanted to think about whether I was being unreasonable or not. I was not being unreasonable in asking for a refund and an apology. 1-800-Flowers angered me over mothers day with the garbage that they sent. They angered me when they had a recording on the phone that said no changes could be made to any order because they were too busy. What topped it off was the way I was treated on the phone when I called and finally got someone to answer. They refunded me the price of the bouquet sent to my mother, I use bouquet loosely, and a better description would be flowers from the ditch. I am now dealing directly with PayPal to get my refund on the other two items I purchased. NEVER AGAIN! Placed an order last Friday for Saturday delivery?!? Seems simple huh? Well after taking my 100.00 the delivery date changed to Wednesday so yesterday "Wed" I check to see what time they will be delivered and low and behold the date changed to November 28th 2020 WTH? So I then called and the phone rep changed the delivery for today well its 7:53 pm my wife has left work for the day and guess what No Fricking Flowers! The flowers were maybe half as pretty as what was advertised. I ordered days in advance and the arrangement wasn't delivered until 2:00 pm on the day of the viewing. Overall, a very disappointing experience that was not worth the money I paid. Save your money, this service does not make it easier than going through your local florist. Heads up folks - lots of people are sending flowers to loved ones this time of year. Well if you're planning on sending flowers, please at all costs avoid 1-800-Flowers. I ordered some flowers, and paid extra for same-day delivery. I received confirmation that they had received the order and it was being processed. Now I get a voice mail message that, so sorry, they can't fulfill the order. I tried to call customer service to talk to someone, and was on hold for over an hour (and they don't even have canned music - I listened to their COVID-19 message 135 times - yes, I started counting!) . Finally I went on FB to try to connect with them that way. I IM'd them and got a reply right away. I was offered a $20 refund and delivery another day, which I declined. When I mentioned a refund, they stopped responding. So now I get to try to dispute the charge with my bank. These jokers are a scam, so please don't waste your hard-earned money with them. read more

Ordered flowers for my MIL's birthday. Picked a beautiful arrangement that I knew she would love. When I went to her house and saw the flowers I was surprised to see it put together with what I would call "filler" flowers. While I understand that arrangements can't match their pictures 100 percent I still expect it to be a better representation than this! At least they got the vase right..... read more

I am livid!!!!!! I ordered a gift basket for my husband that was supposed to be delivered as a surprise for FATHER'S DAY to our hotel room. It was supposed to come on Friday. I then received an email that it wouldn't be there until Monday (after Father's Day). We wouldn't even still be at that location on Monday. So I had to have it redirected to my home. It is now Tuesday and still no gift. I've called 10 times since that Friday. Each time I was told I would receive confirmation of this that or the other and I've never received confirmation. I asked for a full refund. I was told I'd get one but I still haven't received the email about that. They keep trying to give me $20 off coupons even though I firmly expressed that I will NEVER use this service again. I spent $250 on magnificent roses with them and I had no problems. This should have been so simple and I really feel like nothing was resolved. I would not recommend having food baskets delivered as a gift. Too much of a hassle. read more

My Boyfriend ordered my Mom a Beautiful cute Get Well Doggie Howser M.D Flower Arrangement to wish her a fast Recovery after having back surgery. He said he ordered the Flowers and asked to have them do same day delivery if Possible. He ordered the flowers at 8:30am and they came to my house at 5:35pm. Told the missing items would be delivered the next day by noon as of 4:30pm the missing items still have not arrived. Customer Service doesn't help. Their 100% guarantee doesn't seem to exist. Just wish I had checked the yelp rating before I did business with them. Next call to the charge card company to reverse the charge. Posting on Yelp really does work. Just got a call from 1800flowers and they agreed to a refund in 3 to 5 days. Guess we will see. Perhaps there will be a satisfactory solution? Last update. Just another lie from 1800 flowers. AWFUL SERVICE! This was a review/comment I left on the 1-800 flowers contact section of the website. I am writing in regards to a recent order I placed that was to be sent to a funeral home. There was a mix up with dates of the funeral and the arrangement then needed to be sent to a home address. I provided your company the updated address on 10/10 and then received 4 phone calls in the span of the next three days repeating the situation about the re-delivery and asking for the new address...over and over and over again! At this point the arrangement still hasn't been delivered to the grieving family, due to this company. Every person who has contacted me has been very incompetent in regards to dealing with this issue and has made this process very frustrating. I would also like to inform the company that I will NEVER order flowers from this establishment ever again. This company was suppose to deliver chocolates and flowers for V-day but I mistakenly put it for the day before V-day and called cooperate and the lady says she cant cancel an order and would have them call me back in an hour and here I am 3 hours later waiting. Let me explain - I worked with 800flowers years ago as a developer on their first website. I have fond memories of working with the owners (McCanns) and remembered that the organization believed in quality service and products. Jumping ahead 15 years, their company and customer service has totally tanked. I had ordered some flowers for my son and put the wrong apt number in and he did not get the flowers. So I reordered ,and put in the correct address. Then I got a text that he had picked up the flowers from the other apartment so I tried to cancel the second order. 20 minutes on the phone with someone who was almost impossible to understand and who's only job seemed to be to prevent me from canceling the order. Then we get to the point where I'm told that, even though the order won't be delivered for 6 days, it's already been created and sent to FedEx so she can't cancel it. If that's true, which I don't believe it is, no wonder so many people complain of dead flowers. I do not think that I am a happy camper of that 800flowers believes in their 100% smile guarantee. read more

The called to say flowers weren't available a few days after charging me and the day before the scheduled date. Poor phone rep that kept repeating "I understand" but wouldn't help. Eventually after being on the phone for over an hour they were able find my forth option in arrangements and offered free next day delivery! If I could rate them at a 0, I would! I I I I Received the wrong order TWICE (& both times they were BROKEN), and was told I would receive a full refund for the order. I NEVER received the full refund, and when I called to ask why that was I was told that I "was never told that I could receive a full refund". I had several phone calls with them, and was hung up on TWICE by two different representatives when I was told I was being "put on hold". This is a horrible service that is capable of taking a sweet gesture for a special occasion and ultimately ruining it for all. I received dead flowers a day late. The only resolution is to send another order the same way...in hot weather in a box with no water or refrigeration coming from a city many hours away via fedex or ups. Do not order online from 800flowers especially if for a funeral. Ordered 2 days ahead got a confirmation # they charged my credit card and never heard anything until I called because the flowers did not arrive. It was a very specific arrangement a rosary out of rose. They told me there was not a florist close enough to do the order. We live in Metro Detroit plenty of florists! I have been fighting for 2 days now because I have not gotten a refund! As others said customer service reps do not help I asked for a refund and any arrangement with roses that could be delivered that day but they said 4pm was the cut off and we were literally speaking about at 4pm!!!! read more

They arrived and I was very disappointed in them, the arrangement was not full and not very colorful as the picture that I picked from. I went to there customer service place and placed my complaint. they never got back to me for 2 days after I kept E-mailing them. They finally E-mailed me back with a $20.00 off coupon towards my next purchase. I would never of used them again but one week later my brothers wife passed away. with all of the florist not really doing a lot of business right now due to COVID-19. I gave them another try this time it was worse. i ordered a large arrangement and it was very small it was also very late there was only 20 minutes left at the funeral home for her service. They must pick the bottom of the barrel florist to fill these orders. the fact that they called me 6 times the day before to confirm the name on the order and the address and time of the service. LONG STORY - BOTTOM LINE- Benedict's is not a professional business and has a scary dude that will show up at your door to take flowers back when there are problems with 1-800-Flowers. Benedict's and 1-800-Flowers both suck. Stay away!! So wish I didn't have to even give them ONE star. Grrrr. Here's what happened: I ordered flowers for a friend's birthday and have been embarrassed and humiliated by -1800-Flowers and their terrible business partners, Benedicts Florist in Allen Park, MI. When the flowers arrived to my friend she took a photo and sent it to me thanking me for the flowers. The flowers looked nothing like what I ordered. They were pretty but NOT even close to what I ordered on line. I replied to the 'feedback' email that comes after an order is placed. I simply said that the flowers were not the same and that I was dissapointed. From there 1800-Flowers called my friend to see if she was unhappy with the flowers. She said they were great. Then I got a phone call from 1-800-Flowers asking me what the problem was because my friend was not unhappy. I told the caller that that was fine. But - I was the one paying for them and that's not what they looked like on line. Not even close. My friend didn't know what the order was supposed to look like. The 1-800-Flowers rep then offered a refund and a $20 voucher. I told her that was appreciated . The matter, I thought, was settled. From there I got a call from my friend that said the FLORIST showed up at her house to take the flowers BACK!! Unbelievable. The guy that pounded on her door told her that her friend 'wouldn't pay for your flowers" and "now we're going to lose money! I want them back so I can RESELL them!" I was offered a refund. If I had know that would happen I wouldn't have accepted the refund. This is so unprofessional and I can't even believe this is how they do business. I have advised my friend to call the police if he shows up again. He was very intimidating and also admonished her for sending me a photo. I called 1-800-Flowers to inform them of what happened. I talked to a representative who seemed just as appalled as I was and said the she had never heard of this happening. She said the first representative only gave me 50% off AND ordered a redeliver. (Not what she said during our conversation.) I said that was fine except certainly not from that same florist. This particular 1-800-Flowers employee was the only one that was nice, spoke clearly and said she was taking notes and that the situation was resolved. I am sorry that I didn't write her name down. Then I got a call from yet another 1-800- Flowers representative. I tried and explained that we've had many calls over the weekend regarding this issue and that it was resolved. She wasn't understanding the situation so I asked for a manager. I waited 15 minutes on hold. When the manager came on and I started to explain she yelled over me asking for my order number. I don't have the 15 digit order number memorized and ready when I am being woke up for my 2nd day in a row. For some reason they only call me at 7a.m.! The call with the manager did not go well. I had my doubts that she was really a manager. She was not a good manager if that is indeed her title. She wanted to talk more than she listened. She didn't read the notes already in the system and I had to ask her not to yell at me. She asked if I had placed a second order to which I did not. Obviously there are some glitches in your system and there is no vetting when it comes to local florists that are essentially business partners with your company. * When offering a 'refund' to customers you should warn them that that might involve the florist (your business partner) to go back to the recipient demanding the flowers back! * Managers of 1-800-Flowers should not get snippy with a customer that has been treated poorly. They should read all the notes first then talk to a customer in a reasonable fashion once they are informed. The whole point, I thought, for ordering flowers through a service such as this is that you can pick the arrangement you like since you can't be there in person to pick out flowers. While one 1-800-Flowers rep says she's never heard of such a thing - a florist to go back to retrieve flowers from a customer - the 'manager' I spoke with said this happens often and she told me they have every right to retrieve the flowers for 'non payment'. I NEVER asked for free flowers. They offered it freely. And it wasn't NONPAYMENT. When the refund was offered I took it. I am leaving this situation completely embarrassed and ANGRY. Oh - and when I called the corporate offices to find out the name and email of the correct person at 1-800-Flowers to send this complaint to the operator told me that they couldn't give out email addresses and hung up on me. All I did was ask and she HUNG UP!! Just the icing on the cake. read more

Worst customer service *ever*. Friends attempted to send a sympathy bouquet. Despite having my cell phone number, they left a tag on my door asking me to call them. I tried to call them for days, only to hear that they were too busy to answer my call and to go online, which I did and left a message there. Two days later, a delivery man brought me dead flowers...I tried to have them returned...he refused, telling me to call the local number. I tried multiple times...no answer. Finally, late last night, I get an email from the corporate offices telling me that I haven't given them enough information to help me. Really? I sent back a not as polite email (I had been very polite up to this point) telling them my thoughts. This morning, I got another email telling me that they appreciated my feedback and look forward to my future business. Not likely. Now how do I write the thank you note to my friends "thank you for the dead flowers I received in honor of my dead family member?" I have had numerous similar experiences with this company. This is a review of 1800flowers.com (the location above appears to be the closest to me.) It's not a review of the product but rather the site and their false advertising. I just tried to place an order for mother for mother's day. I spent forever selecting a cute cupcake flower bouquet and writing out the little message. I was excited to take advantage of the free shipping for mother's day as long as I ordered by May 10th. (Because the prices for delivery in addition to the flowers is pure robbery... but who doesn't like to surprise their mom with flowers?). Being that it is still April, I was in good shape. So I enter fill out all my delivery info and my payment info and put in the promocode (why don't places just apply these discounts right off the bat?). It says it's not valid. WTF. I go back and check the fine print... okay, it looks like I have to have my flowers DELIVERED (Not just scheduled) BEFORE May 10th. That's fine... my mom can get them early. I go back and change the day to one day earlier... re-enter all the delivery and creditcard information... re-enter my promo code... and NOTHING. No items in my cart are part of this special. I've seen the items that say "Can not be used with any other promo code" stuff... this was not one of them. So what exactly can I use that discount on? Who knows... and I'm not going to waste another hour trying several different bouquets and putting in my credit card info and hope the promo code works. We're just gonna pick up a bouquet from a store ourselves and have my son walk them in to her job... she'll like that better anyways and I'll save about 75%. read more

We went to this florists to have a wrist corsage made up. We actually picked one from the book that they offered. It was $29 so I paid up front when I placed the order. We came back on the date requested (about 3 weeks later). It looked like they made it the day of the order! It was completely wilted and dis colored. This is by far the most awful florist we have ever used. I would make an arrangement myself before I'd use these people! read more
