I found Kamni during an image search for the type of setting I wanted. Her classic setting really spoke to me - it's classic, yes, but it's also got a contemporary vibe. I kept coming back to it, looking at her website for different options, reading reviews, etc. I originally was going to only purchase the setting, but after some looking around locally, I was very disappointed with the service and selection of diamonds. For some reason I really balked at the idea of buying a diamond online. I really gotta connect with this stone I'm going to be wearing every day for the rest of my life, right? How do you do that with a virtual appointment? Friends I am here to tell you, you can TOTALLY do this online. (Although would I have taken a red eye out for an in-person appointment were it not for COVID? I sure would have!) I literally never leave reviews but I am so disappointed and disrespected by this jeweler that I feel the need to. I made an appointment with Kamni in January to come in April. When the appointment day was coming close I emailed her a few times to confirm. She never answered me. So I called her and she said her assistant made a mistake and she didn't have what I wanted to see in the store and we should reschedule. I said sure no problem and moved my appointment to a few weeks later. I specifically asked her "should I call to confirm that day?" She said no that the appointment was all set and she looked forward to it. I said okay great me too but please CALL me if anything changes. I drove over an hour and a half to her location and she wasn't there! We were beyond pissed and still are. Kamni hasn't done anything to try and rectify this situation. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL! My boyfriend, at the time, and I decided to pick the perfect engagement ring together to make sure I got the design I wanted and the diamond he wanted in his budget. We started the process with going into retail jewelry stores at the mall to get ideas and try stuff on but saw a lot of the same styles at outrageous prices. Being that we lovee e-commerce, we decided to take our search to the internet! After looking at a lot of leading online bridal retailers we stumbled across Designs By Kamni. I filled out the "get started" form on her website and received a response within the same day. Kamni and I went back and forth through emails sharing images and ideas of what aspects I liked on different rings. Kamni understood exactly what I wanted, she then worked with my fiancé, without my involvement in selecting the center diamond. She educated him on the "4 Cs" and gave her recommendations on what he should go for given his budget. Being that we live in Georgia and Kamni was in New York, she sent him images and videos of diamonds to select from and even showed him a comparison of 5 stones side by side in different angles. Once the diamond was selected, Kamni put me and my fiancé on the same email thread and shared pre-production renderings of the custom setting to get an idea of what was being made. I found Kamni from all of her amazing posts on instagram, instantly I fell in love with one of her designs and would send it to my now Fiance everyday hoping he would get the hint. Well he got the hint and I now have a gorgeous ring that gets compliments daily. Kamni designs consist of quality diamonds and are well thoughtout.
