However I found there was a problem with the some of the members of staff who worked there. I found that one of the older members of staff was incredibly rude, unprofessional and bad mannered. As on that day I was in a rush, I needed flowers quickly, and the level of service that was provided by that particular older woman was dismal. If this woman shows this much lack of respect to her customers, I can only dread to think what she treats her fellow employees like. It was a great shame, as the shop could have had so much potential, and its only redeeming quality was the friendly younger members of staff who worked there. I hope that this woman changes her attitude to customers, as I cannot see this shop surviving for that much longer in this current economic climate. In fact the only reason I see it surviving at the moment is due to the younger members of staff propping up the good service that this shop needs.

I used Interflora to get three bunches of flowers on seperate occasions. They used Daisy Chain on…read moreall 3 occasions and on each occasion they sent the wrong types and colours of flowers. I made a complaint to Interflora and they apologised for the inconvience and said that they would send another bunch of flowers on the Saturday. Saturday came and went and we decided to ring the Daisy Chain to see where the flowers were. When we rang them they were rude and said they had no intention of delivering any flowers. I decided to ring Interflora to make a formal complaint. After 10 minutes they rang back to say they had been in contact and flowers would be sent within half an hour. Half an hour later and the flowers did arrive but not by the Daisy Chain but by Dobbins. From the phone conversation we had assumed that the Daisy Chain was going to deliver but in their stubborness, they obviously refused. I will never ever deal with this florists again.

I called Aanees flower shop in Letterkenny from California about five or ten minutes before closing…read moretime . I explained that I wanted a bouquet delivered to the hospital today as my nephew had just become a dad .She told me she was more or less closed but I explained that I really wanted the flowers delivered today and needed a nice bouquet. She said she would do her best and an hour or so later the flowers were delivered! I really appreciated her doing this as I had called a few other places in Letterkenny who said they could only deliver the next day. Thank you Aanees! I would use this florist again .

Donegal and I also got a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to Dublin for my girlfriend on valentine's day. She was only the moon with them. I received a beautiful bunch of flowers from here for my Birthday in December and they lasted for absolutely ages, it was such a beautiful addition to my living room, I would love to have fresh flowers in my house all the time (if I could afford it!) They also have small gifts which can be sent, such as boxes of chocolates, and small decorative items such as ornaments and Christmas decorations.

We found Southgate Florist's website and placed an online order. Within the hour, Virginia (I presume the owner) replied via email (at 10pm her time, afternoon for us!). She was familiar with the undertaker, church etc and took care of everything, she also emailed a photo of the arrangement. My sister in law, who attended the service, said the arrangement was gorgeous (she is a horticulturalist). Highly recommend Southgate Florist in Drogheda, they provide professional prompt service and beautiful floral arrangements at reasonable prices.
