Comforting and decadent hot chocolate and great seasonal offerings. Check the printed menu for specific limited time specials.

This place is such a gem, located in the heart of downtown Rochester! I love the layout of the space, where you walk in and it has a small set of stairs that then leads up and into the long, narrow shop space with the ordering counter in the very back and various tables and seating areas throughout between the front and the back. There is even a small stage for live music/performances, which is a lovely and very fitting touch for a coffee shop! Obviously, having the set of stairs in the front makes it a lot less accessible. I came here with my friend who is on crutches right now and she was able to make it up the stairs with minimal difficulty, but given that there are many kinds of disabilities and I don't believe I saw a ramp to go up beside the stairs nor a back entrance that would allow people to come in at that slightly higher height level, this is a significant concern accessibility-wise. The space is moody, while also being very coffee shop like. I have known of people going on first dates here and it feels very fitting! It's a very cute space and offers a bit more on top of just coffee drinks, so it really lives up to its "dessert" name. I got an iced matcha (it was not the worst, but also not the best that I've had) and the tiramisu cheesecake (pretty good, but still not one of the better cheesecakes I've had). Both were good and the perfect afternoon snack. This place is lovely for all kinds of reasons, so definitely check it out if you need a pick me up next time you're in Rochester!

This place hits every time. This is my absolute favorite location of Dessert Oasis. I just love the decor, you feel like you are in a movie or a TV show enjoying your coffee and desserts. The mocha here is so nicely roasted and sweet, it is an enjoyable cup! Their tiramisu cheesecake was so tender and flavorful, the perfect hybrid of tiramisu and cheesecake combination. And even though this place does fill up on a Saturday night, you can usually find a nice spot to sit. The people working here are always nice, it is a really fun night.

    Oreo cheesecake

This place is the bomb! Such an amazing vibe and place to chill with your friends. The cheesecake was nice and moist and such a great flavor. I love Oreo things and this cheesecake was no exception.

    Super cute coffee spot

This is the second time we come here since we live out of state and we were not disappointed! Best coffee we've ever had!! We had the honey cinnamon iced latte with oat milk and the vanilla iced latte with oat milk! The chocolate chip cookies were nice, warm, and chewy! Loved this spot and will always try and make an attempt at picking up a cup of joe when in Michigan! Super cute spot too! Cozy!

A true coffee house with minimal emphasis on snacks and great attention to coffee drinks, tea and atmosphere. Desert is an ideal place for taking a break from shopping, meeting a friend or just relaxing with a great cup of coffee. Service is good, atmosphere is comfortable and the prices are worth the excellent quality. Will definitely come here again

Cortado! Beautiful latte art but slightly burnt espresso and overall slightly watery and a bit boring.

Alright, I've become a bigger coffee snob since I last reviewed five years ago. I came here twice recently and got a pour over and cortado (both made using their Brazil Bom Cafe beans). I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the pour over! There was a hint of strawberry acidic and the chocolate after taste was tasty. I love that you can ask them which beans you want to try for the pour over. Definitely willing to come back to try other blends. I got the cortado the second time and it was presented beautifully with carefully crafted latte art (pretty impressive since cortados are small) but the drink itself was slightly bitter and a bit watery. Overall, the taste itself was boring and I probably wouldn't get this again. Happy to come back to the nice vibes and live music eventually and try out more coffee! I definitely need to try the desserts again next time.

    Matcha Latte, Honey Cinnamon Latte

3.5/5, rounded to 4/5 I got the iced honey cinnamon latte with oat milk and half flavor ("half sweet"). I enjoyed it quite a lot, although it had significantly more milk flavor than coffee flavor (maybe because I said half flavor?). It was around $5 and gave a lot for the cost, at least compared to Ann Arbor heh. There are also some nice bakery items we didn't try but might next time. A nice place to chill :)

We thought it looked very similar to RBH, but after talking to our server she explained it was owned by the same owner. Like its sister restaurant it is a restored church with high ceilings and chandeliers, with an elegant yet comfortable feel. It's larger and a little more upscale than RBH with much more outside seating at the front entrance, near the street, and at the side (where we sat). Looks more suited for cocktails and wine, than food forward. The brunch menu is scaled down from RBH, but similar. I ordered the Chicken Omelette (omelette version of the Chicken Scramble at RBH, which I enjoyed the day before). It was noticeably smaller and less flavorful, but still was ok, though priced the same. Be prepared as a cup of coffee is $5. Yikes! We sat outside just after opening and hoping to have a beautiful relaxing breakfast. However, they seemed to have chosen a club like playlist from some pretty loud outdoor speakers, which felt very out of place, Maybe it was purposeful to get people revved up, but still, just felt off. Our server was warm, friendly and said some very kind things about the owner. She even told us how the restaurant got its name. Apparently there was a huge fire which destroyed several churches in the area and in 1881 this church was the first to be rebuilt. Saint 1881 pays homage to their roots. Very nice tribute. Our food took a little longer than expected since we were the only customers at the time, but not overly excessive. Between the beautiful outside seating, friendly service, interesting history, we will be back - maybe for cocktails or a nice glass of wine.

Can be an odd problem at times... the service is fairly quick once you're seated. Although this is a decent location, I wish there was some improvements for how much they charge for the food. It should be translated in the quality of food as well. mock tales can vary from $14-$15 from what I can recall. The strawberry crêpe cake was anywhere from $14-$16. So it's really easy for the bill to get up there, especially if you're only getting three things... a real a nice place the prices are extremely high, but I can see why they charge that because of the ambience Duffy not for the quality of food though. overall : Service: 8/10 ambiance: 9/10 Food: 4/10 drinks: 7.5/10 Bang for your buck: 2/10

It is a VERY small place with horseshoe shapes bars and stools, a few 2 top booths, and off to one corner, hidden, a hallway with 3 booths to fit 4. Luckily we found the last table empty and stuffed our stuff in a corner. Had we been prepared to come here, we would have not brought the stroller, definitely no room for it. Table service was fast by what looked like a High school kid, just like old times. We ordered burgers, fries, and a kids meal. Burgers/sandwiches and fries are all Ala carte. 2 burgers, 1 set of fries,1 order fried pickles, a kids meal, 1 milkshake and 1 pop was just under $70. The burger was DELICIOUS, juicy, flavorful, good quality meat, cheese and bacon. Fries were just okay, but the pickles were good. My daughter enjoyed the hot dog. We weren't going to order a milkshake but my daughter overheard the table behind us order one, and so we had to get one too. I expected more of a smash burger based on the diner vibe and some online pictures so I ordered a double Pattie. That was a mistake as the patties were not smashed and were quite thick. I actually removed one of the patties to make the burger edible. Burger patties were extremely salty. Bacon was tasty but too thick to be on a burger as you couldn't easily bite through it. Burger besides being salty was over cooked and not a lot of flavor. Didn't have their traditional bun so had to get the brioche. Seasoned fries didn't have a lot of seasoning.
