This brunch spot was absolutely wonderful. I was visiting family and had brunch here on 8/10/26. The space was very clean and bright. It was bit cold inside but since it was so hot outside, I was still happy about it. We were a large party and came by with no reservations but as it was a Monday, we didn't have to wait at all and were seated right away. I didn't catch the name of the server (I forgot her name) but she was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and ---as a person who works in hospitality, I know how difficult it can be to serve a table of 3 adults and 6 children but she was a pro. She gave great recommendations, was very sweet with the kids, checked up on us regularly and made the entire experience awesome. The food itself was amazing. They have quite a variety of things and I chose to have the Mushroom Benedict ($17) and it came with a side (I chose a side of roasted potatoes). I haven't been to Michigan in 9 years and I live in Los Angeles so these prices are very reasonable and even cheap considering what I'm used to paying for brunch back home. I didn't have any drinks but saw they have a full bar. When I'm back in town, this is definitely a place I would love to come back to. read more

We texted our friends our order and were 20 minutes out when the table was ready. They refused to seat our group, demanding we all be there because the table would then be taken up too long (even though our friends had our order and food takes time to cook ANYWAYS). We got to the restaurant and ended up waiting another hour just to be able to get a table that we had been waiting for an insanely long amount of time. There is no flexibility, humanity, or understanding with this restaurant. Only robots who "have policies" and are "sorry - that's just the way things are." I chose busiest day to visit this place on mother's day. They dont take reservation and wait time was for 2 hours. They have no online queue watch or sms service to let you know when you are 1st in queue. Although i was standing right there outside and they were calling names coming out, somehow for my turn they dis not and mentioned I should have waited inside. Although this wait period and last minite confusion was disappointing but once we were seated, they served well, food was amzing too. Tried this place for the first time yesterday. Restaurant was bright and cheerful, the staff seemed exceptionally sweet! Every single staff member we passed interacted with us in a very friendly manner. Food was very good. I forgot to take pictures of the food sadly. I got the Fat Elvis french toast and my mom ordered an eggs Benedict with short rib on a corn muffin (this was one of their summer specials). My mom loved hers! I am not an eggs Benedict person, but the presentation was beautiful. Her's came with a side, she chose pancakes. She said they were decent but just a normal pancake you could find anywhere. The fat Elvis was good, not quite as picturesque as my mom's breakfast and it was a bit too rich for my taste but still very tasty! The caramelized bananas on the top and berry coulis were yummy! I love that they bring a pitcher of water to the table so you don't have to have them keep running to fill up your small water glass. My only complaint was the noise volume (the restaurant wasn't super full so I can't imagine what it would be like when it's at full capacity). The issue with the noise is that they have super high ceilings-this is a poor design choice that I am sure saves a ton of money, because most restaurants choose this option these days. Our brunch was delicious and there were lots of other options on the menu that looked amazing. I did notice signs at the hostess desk stating that they do not take reservations, your entire party has to be present before being seated, and they ask that you do not stay longer than 90 minutes so they are able to turn tables. So if you come on a very busy day, you may have a bit of a wait. We went a bit later in the day and were directly seated. Menu is big but not overwhelming - need to come back again to try something else. Got the biscuits as an app and they were amazing, Huge portions - warm and fluffy. But the butter/jam ratio to the biscuits were off - be sure to order extra. Southwest benedict is what I ordered and it was great. The egg was perfectly poached and ooey gooey. Again big portions. Food came out very fast. Waitress came over with a tablet and checked us out. That always feels awkward to me - the waitress lingering while I figure out in front of them how much to tip. She later warned us that we overstayed our welcome. She said when they have wait times - you need to leave after 90 minutes. I noticed later the bill indicated this but we could not see the lobby and the people all waiting either. She was nice about it and said her boss or someone told her to tell us to leave essentially. Visited for the first time on recommendation from a friend and loved the ambiance and the crowd. The restaurant doesn't take reservation and we had a wait time of 35 mins at around 11:30 AM on a Saturday. Once we were seated, the service was prompt and polite. The menu has an extensive selection of drinks , breakfast and lunch options. We ordered the cajun chicken sandwich, mushroom Egg Benedict and lemon ricotta pancake. I liked the entrees but pancakes I have had better. Prices and portion sizes were average and we ended up finishing all our meal without having to take any to go boxes. The French bar is a classy modern looking place that serves brunch and other meals. Their bloody Marys were decent. We had a mixed experience with the food. My companion ordered a salad, and she was really pleased. I ordered the tofu scramble and was really disappointed. For one, it was not a scramble, it was more like a stirfry with individual chunks of Topher. The bigger issue was that it was incredibly salty. I like salt but the balance in this dish was so off. I can't remember how I found out about The Brunch Bar. But I've been following them on Facebook for over a year. Today, I finally went for brunch, and it did not disappoint. It was very busy, so I sat at the bar (which I prefer anyway). The servers were all very attentive and nice. When the plate was placed in front of me, I was shocked at the amount of food. Although I only ate half, it was absolutely delicious. The couples on each side also spoke how they enjoyed their food as well, especially the croissant beignets. I made sure to order some to go. Met a friend for brunch here. Bar seating is first come first served. We decided to wait for a table. They said 20 min, it was less. The menu is huge. I knew I wanted coffee so the Brunch Bar Coffee stood out to me. It's basically an Irish coffee. It was good. Next up was a Bloody Mary. I've definitely had better. It was weak on the alcohol and their mixer is more on the tomato side. I do appreciate their garnish though! I asked for medium spice. It was pretty mild. For brunch, I had the croque madame. It was on the specials menu. My friend had the avocado chicken club sando. We both had the dressed greens as a side. Everything was delicious. The dressed greens were not soggy. The dressing is a bit sweet and fruity. The croque madame had a perfectly runny egg on top of bread with lots of bechamel sauce and cheese. I wished the bread was a little more toasty. Arrived after 10:15 AM. There's a line outside. 20 minute wait for two, ok. We put our name in to wait outside. We were seated by 10:20am, not too bad. It's a big place inside and there's a back patio too. The jasmine tea was weak with a cups worth of hot water. The huevos rancheros and tofu scramble are quite good, super tasty on their own. The Huevos was even better with cholula added to it. The beans have little minced pork in it, not for me. The yogurt parfait is good, bits of fruit and granola. Their biscuit was freshly baked, came after we were mostly done with our meal. This used to be a Big Boy until it finally closed abruptly some time ago. Eventually, Brunch bar moved in and what a nice addition to the community it is! I've eaten here twice now, and it's really between three and four stars for me. The menus pretty extensive with breakfast, brunch and lunch ticket items that have hearty servings at a premium price. They have loads of beverages to choose from, including mimosas and many other drinks to start your day off right. The first time I ate here I went with the Huevos Rancheros, but didn't really love it so I didn't write a review. I finally made it back today and went with the corned beef hash with eggs, pancakes and hash browns. Overall the food was good and even though it's a tad expensive, worth the time. It can get sort of busy here, so if you go during peak times, please be prepared to wait. I was lucky to get a seat at the counter since it was just me today. The food is genuinely excellent, but the management completely undermines the experience. On our way to meet friends for brunch, we were involved in a car accident that caused us to run about 20 minutes late. We immediately let our friends know, who were already at the restaurant, and they even placed our order in advance since we were so close. Despite explaining the situation, the restaurant refused to seat our party until every single person had arrived, claiming the table would be occupied for too long. That made little sense considering our food still needed to be prepared, and we were only minutes away. When we finally arrived, we ended up waiting another hour for a table after already waiting an incredibly long time. A little flexibility and common sense could have easily prevented the entire ordeal. The food is worth trying, but the customer service is not. The staff hid behind "policy" instead of showing any empathy or willingness to accommodate a group dealing with an unexpected emergency. The Brunch Bar was packed on Easter, I put our name down for 5 of us and thought it would be a long time, but the line was moving fast and we were seated within 40 minutes. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter was amazing and friendly. Our waiter, Giorgio M, went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful Easter breakfast, he was on top of our large order, and the food was delicious and came out very fast for how busy the place was! The guava lemonade and lavender lemonade were tasty, shout out to Giorgio for recommending the Monte Cristo and the house made lavender lemonade! First off, the service was excellent. Price point was on target. The deviled eggs were delicious. Here are the misses. The eggs Benedict was bland, hollandaise sauce needed lemon and a sprinkle of cayenne top of poached eggs. The heuvos rancheros was not edible. The rancheros sauce was made with acidic tomatoes and was too salty (and I like salt!) I told the server, sent it back and switched to a reuben. Just a heads-up--this restaurant doesn't take reservations over the phone, nor do they offer a text notification system when your table is ready. You have to wait in the waiting area and they'll call your name. In reality, we weren't seated until around 12:30 PM, which was longer than the estimated wait time. My friend and I couldn't help but wonder--why not allow reservations? It could really help streamline the experience! But hey, we're just a couple of restaurant-savvy diners with family in the industry. That being said, the ambiance is absolutely stunning--it reminded me of many trendy spots in NYC. Our waitress was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered a latte with oat milk (FYI, they don't carry soy milk) and the shrimp and grits, which were rich, flavorful, and satisfyingly cheesy. If you're looking for a hearty and filling meal, this one hits the spot! Overall, I'd love to come back and explore more of the menu. I've driven past this place a few times and decided to try it after hearing good things from a friend. When my cousin came to visit, it felt like the perfect opportunity. Had a very enjoyable lunch here catching up with a friend. It was around noon during the holiday season and there was a ~20 minute wait - no reservations, no call aheads but they did have a big designated waiting space so that made it more comfortable. The interior is decorated nicely and is bright with all the windows and natural light. We had a great waitress who was very friendly and served everything up lightning fast. This was really good! Over the last couple of years, this area has seemed several fancy brunch places pop up. I would argue that this is one of the best. That atmosphere is fantastic you walk into a clean open and modern restaurant. We were greeted by very friendly waitstaff who are prompt. We got our food m quickly and it was hot and fresh. We came during the busy brunch time on a Sunday which is a great way to see how efficiently the staff run things. They do not disappoint. From walking in and talking with the hostess, to being welcomed at the bar (they have seat yourself at the bar), to order taking and delivery...the staff is VERY friendly and personable for it being their most busiest time. The space is open with high ceilings and light decor - very welcoming but noisy (which was fine for us). We chose to avoid the long wait time for a table and sat at the bar. The stools have half-backs and are the perfect height for eating at the bar. We were very pleased with how comfortable the bar stools were! We ordered regular coffee, the Fat Elvis French Toast, the Campfire S'mores French Toast , and a side of the Applewood Smoked Bacon. My husband loved the Fat Elvis French Toast - it has a lot of tastes going on so be prepared! The Campfire S'mores were good - not overly stuffed so it wasn't mushy or anything because the graham cracker crumb coated bread made for a sturdy mechanism to hold the Nutella and marshmallow fluff. If you're coming with more than one other person, be advised that it gets super busy. They do not take reservations, so expect to wait anywhere from 30-60 min. My wife went here and raved about it. Her leftover Berry stuffed French Toast sure looked good. (But I didn't try it). So we snuck away from the kids one morning - yes they were supervised. We just beat a rush of people so we barely waited at all for a seat. The window coverings are apparently on order but be advised that you might get sun in your eyes. I survived. The place is very nicely refurbished from the old Big Boy that occupied the space before. It's quite nice inside and service was kind and quick throughout. The wait time is long for brunch on a weekend, which would be fine but I was surprised that the system they have for the waiting list is literally just a pen and paper and you have to wait there for them to call your name. I'm used to restaurants using a text system nowadays so I was disappointed I couldn't walk around nearby and explore while waiting 45 min for my table. The menu looked pretty good and it seemed there were some dishes they were great at and some that were lacking. The tomato basil soup is pretty good, and so was the quinoa power bowl. I also ordered the Cuban eggs benedict and that was underwhelming; the pork was not marinated long enough, the Canadian bacon tasted like it was just pulled out of the packaging and placed on the cook top long enough to give it color but not flavor and on of my eggs was very overcooked overcooked. My dish came with a side of house potatoes that were nicely crispy but not seasoned at all. That whole dish could have used more seasoning, it was very bland.We also tried the brunch bar burger, that was nothing to call home about. Great brunch place near Rochester Hills! I'm here visiting my in laws and we came here with a friend to check out a new brunch spot. We came during a weekend around 11:30am and it was PACKED. The wait was over 40 minutes and they unfortunately don't have a Yelp waitlist or digital queue. That's my only minor complaint but hopefully they'll set up a digital queue down the road. Once we sat down, the service was amazing! Our waitress was very attentive and nice. We ordered beignets to start and they came in under 30 seconds! They were so fluffy and warm! Next, I ordered the corned beef hash. I will say, this wasn't the best plate so next time I'll skip it. However, the rest of my party ordered an eggs Benedict and waffles, both of which were delicious! Definitely will be coming back next time to try some order dishes! read more
