I've catered and filmed a lot of weddings. But this time, it was for my son & daughter-in-law at the Destin Bay House on the Choctawhatchee Bay. This venue was the best choice we could have made! Private, elegant, and absolutely magical! The building layout, tables, and seating accommodations were perfect, the kitchen very handy, a cute little cottage for getting ready, and a gorgeous background for some great photos and video! My fiancé and I traveled to Destin to find a wedding venue. We didn't know about Destin Bay House when we looked into venues. During our stay in Destin, we had visited several venues and nothing clicked. Just when we were about to get disappointed, we came across to DBH in The Knot- Florida Weddings magazine as a newest venue. We decided to give it a visit on our way to airport. We didn't have an appointment. When we arrived, there were a group of people with what we thought were the coordinators of DBH. We pardoned ourselves and asked if we could just look around. As we were walking around the house, Erin came to us and asked us if she could help us. We were impressed because we did not have an appointment and she was willing to help us. She showed us inside and we fell in love instantly. We clicked!! It has an intimacy feeling... absolutely perfect for a private wedding. The number one on our no-no list was a conference room looking/feeling. DBH was nowhere near to it. Before we knew it, we booked with DBH!!! And we booked about 1 year and 2 months before our wedding date and for the entire time, Erin took time to reply to all of my emails with what felt like a million of questions!!! :). She used her expertises to give us suggestions but stayed with what we liked & wanted. This included which vendors to choose from and now it has been exactly 3 weeks from our fabulous wedding... we could NOT ask for a better venue or day of coordinator! (Erin was our DOC) and she was beyond amazing! I did not feel stressed and the setting ups she did were dynamite (using decorations we provided and rented). The great thing was that she made sure my 6 bridesmaids and I enjoy our wines before the ceremony. What we did prior to wedding was dropping off our decorations and that was it. No setting up, no walking through or no cleaning up. Erin did them all!! She made me to feel content as a bride and 3 weeks now, we miss our wedding so much! We wish we could relive the day. If you're looking for a cozy yet elegant wedding venue, DBH is the place! If you're looking to block the possible bridezilla, Erin is the DOC! I'm proud to say I wasn't a bridezilla. *insert a big smiley face here* Our wedding was magical. Thanks to Erin and Destin Bay House. Only if I can find more reasons to host events at DBH! read more

I came here as part of a bridal party. The place is beautiful!! The view off of the pier is gorgeous and you can see fish and crabs in the water. Wow! We attended a wedding at this awesome venue! The outdoor space is really beautiful and I was surprised at how well maintained it is. The back area has a fire pit area, dance floor, a sandy beach like spot with dock, and lovely yard. Inside has hardwood floors, restrooms, and kitchen. Very nice front patio as well. There is even a small carriage house in front that works well for the bridal party to prepare in. All of the food and music for the wedding were suggested by Destin Bay House and all were so pleasant. DJ and bartenders were helpful, fun, and very efficient. Food was great. Drinks were stiff. They really seemed to go out of their way to make sure everyone was happy. The layout of Destin Bay House allows for guests to easily mingle, dance, or enjoy the fire pit but still be close together in the same location. Our friends were very pleased and excited to have their wedding here. Great location for other events as well I would assume! read more
