We hosted a wedding aboard the Solaris in late May 2026 and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We first toured the vessel in June 2025 with SunQuest representative Kristi Oliver, who was incredibly helpful. Since we were planning a large event from out of state, we had plenty of questions and Kristi was patient, knowledgeable, and thorough in addressing all of them. Over the following eleven months, we worked primarily with Courtney, who was responsive, organized, and friendly. Not having ever hosted an event of this size, much less in a different state, we had tons of questions. As it turns out, SunQuest's event team is on top of every detail and we didn't need to have worried as much as we did. As the wedding approached, our communication with Courtney increased; she did an outstanding job of keeping everything on track. She carefully documented the bride and groom's preferences, remembered important details, proactively reached out to finalize plans, and ensured that the bride and groom's vision for the evening was fully realized. SunQuest accommodated every aspect of the schedule they wanted. About a week before the wedding, we learned that Kristi Adkinson would be our day-of coordinator. She was absolutely fantastic--kind, responsive, efficient and a genuine pleasure to work with. Her professionalism, attention to detail and genuine excitement for the wedding helped make the day run seamlessly. We used SunQuest's DJ, L'Mont, who was excellent, and used one of their recommended photographers, Jonathan M. (www.jonathanmphotography) whose work was also fantastic. He caught some amazing moments and really captured the feel of the entire event! Most importantly, the flow of the entire event was flawless - everything was executed perfectly. We can't recommend SunQuest and their event team highly enough. They helped create a truly memorable wedding, and we are grateful for the exceptional experience from start to finish. read more

What an experience! We had the misfortune of going out on a day when the sea was choppy! However, the crew was well prepared and took excellent care of us! The Captain was terrific at navigating the patchy waters! We ordered our food ahead, and the party of four that I was with all ordered different dishes so that we could sample each other's food. The portions were large and conducive to sharing. After the waves died down, the party started! The dance floor was lively, and the band and singer were amazing! Wasn't sure what to expect, but I'll start off by saying that the staff were very friendly. I hated to be this guy, but one of my forks had gunk on it, so I had to send it back before our food arrived. Speaking of the food, it's quality over quantity, so don't plan on walking away full; what we ate was very good, though, especially the cheesecake for dessert! The two-man band provided pleasant music, but the eating area was devoid of any decoration, so nothing aesthetically pleasing (other than my date). There was another "event" happening on the second deck that we had to walk through to get to the top deck, which was okay, I suppose, because it was about the only other form of entertainment provided. The entire excursion lasted just over 2 1/2 hours, and we kept ourselves entertained, but it was really just a mediocre dinner with nothing else to do until we got back and docked. read more

We decided to do something different for the 4th of July. Much of the initial presentation was good. The crew was great, food was decent and ambiance too. The upper deck was where we all waited for the fireworks to start. There were kids running around screaming with the crew just looking on, saying nothing. We ordered 2 dinner dishes, some drinks and a bottle of presecco. After the show, we went back to the table to close out and the bill was over $700. Nothing was advertised on prices or listed. That wasn't the worst part. We took the shuttle to avoid issues but in the end, there were hundreds of people waiting for the shuttle. We stood around over an hour and a half. (1 out of 5 stars) We attended a three-hour dinner cruise that we expected to be a special evening, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a completely miserable experience -- all because of where we were seated. Despite booking as a couple, we were placed at a group table with three other couples we didn't know, located about two feet from the check-in stand (where everyone boards) and only about five feet from the band. From the moment we sat down, it was insanely loud and extremely uncomfortable. People were constantly bumping into us as they boarded, and the music was so loud we couldn't carry on a normal conversation. Within an hour we both had headaches, and the couple next to us actually rolled up toilet paper and stuck it in their ears just to get through the night -- which says everything about how unbearable the noise level was. I made it very clear the moment we boarded that this location was unacceptable. It was obvious we were seated in a high-traffic area right in front of the band. I asked the hostess if we could move, but was told seating was pre-assigned and nothing could be changed. Later, I spoke with the band leader, who confirmed that our table wasn't normally placed there but had been moved to make room for large groups. I understand adjustments sometimes need to be made, but it's unacceptable that we were the ones stuck in the worst seats on the boat because of other parties we had no control over. We paid nearly $250 for the evening, and spent most of it either wincing through the noise or escaping upstairs for a break. But upstairs was extremely windy and so dark you couldn't really see anything, so it wasn't a good alternative. The food and service were both excellent -- but that didn't make up for the miserable seating situation, the refusal to relocate us, and the lack of any effort to make it right. Had we been seated anywhere else, we might have had a lovely evening. Instead, this was one of the least enjoyable dining experiences we've had. I would never book this cruise again. read more

Auto 20% and 10% for using credit cards. Drinks are over $15 buck. Have taken similar cruises for half the cost. Cruise time is basically in the dark. Old ship that's outdated. They talk about upscale dining. Felt like I was at a Walmart. Food was not even close to what they say. Total rip off. Dancing. No one dancing to the 90 yr old DJ. No band at all. We did a dinner cruise for my friends 50th birthday and it was AWESOME! Everything was coordinated ahead of time from North Carolina. There was too much fog so we couldn't take sail but the staff made sure we had a great time. I'll start with the food. So we selected our meals before hand. Sometimes with these cruises the food can be meh but not here! EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! We had a party of about 30 and there was a little mix up with the food but it was okay because they were gracious and made sure they made it right for us. Dessert was delicious. We also brought a cake which they served. Upstairs was the bar. We took great pictures upstairs, wonderful lighting. There was a dance floor where we ate and a band. I'm kicking myself because I can't remember their names but a male and female who were phenomenal. They sounded SO good and the woman could dance! She got out on the floor with us! If they were in North Carolina I would for sure hire them. They truly helped to make it a celebration. My friend was very pleased and happy. Highly recommend this cruise. Especially if the same entertainers are always there. Important: bathrooms are clean. Worth the money! read more

Fun cruise! It was a little worrisome with finding the location as the instructions are extensive but it all worked out. We ordered the shrimp and grits and short ribs with lump crab. Both were really good. There is live music during the cruise and dancing on the top deck after dessert. I was a little frustrated after paying for a birthday package that included a birthday cake and it never arrived. I had to mention it to my server at the end of the night as I kept hoping they would show up with his surprise cake, but it never did and we had to ask them to box one up while we were leaving the boat. The last hour of the night is spent idling and no announcements were made that there was an hour left and would be not moving. All in all it was a fun experience, but very expensive and time consuming. read more

We've been on this dinner cruise many times in the past, the last time being seven years ago, and we always had a great time with everyone up dancing, and the food was melt in your mouth delicious, and the wait staff was wonderful... However the dinner cruise we went on September 9th was terrible!! The music was downright boring, bordering on elevator music, not even danceable, there wasn't even an area for dancing, the couple playing music said they would play our requests, but they did not!! My salad had five pieces of brown lettuce in it, and my Braised beef was actually a bit dry and tough. Our waiter was nice, but he kept disappearing... I don't feel the "mandatory" 20% gratuity was earned, a tip should be earned, not just a given for service even when that service is bad! You should really incorporate some good danceable music back into your program and add space for a dance floor, not being so focused on more tables with butts in the seats to make that "more money" to be your priority.. Let the people who are on the cruise have the best time of their lives!! Also put the effort back into the food to make it the melt in your moth delicious food that you had before!! After the experience we had this time, I don't see us ever coming back... If you all truly care about your customers, who literally are who pay for your livelihood, please make your cruise great again!! read more

When we first entered there was a two people band which we thought was going to play through the cruise instead they played cds I believe and maybe did their owe songs maybe 6 The lady in the band just sat there the entire time and would leave for cigarette break we were waiting for something then to start playing again instead just played cd or music off the iPad There was a wedding up stairs which they said they have to keep the music down because they were doing announcements so by the time the music started we only had like 45 minutes left on the cruise We were hoping for so much more for as much as we spent We just don't think it was worth it! My boyfriend and I booked a dinner cruise for New Year's Eve. I have never done a cruise on this boat before but he had attended a friend's wedding in the past. We booked with the bottle of Prosecco which was with a package that included a rose and a photo, that was an additional $65 and $100 to guarantee a table by the window. Both were totally worth it, in my opinion. We checked in at the boat, which was super simple. We got a table on the second floor right by the window. The table was great! The windows had a bit of condensation so we had to keep wiping it off, but it was not a big deal. The dining area was nicely decorated and our server, Antoinette was incredibly warm and took great care of us. We ordered two appetizers, short rib bruschetta and bbq shrimp and two additional bottles of wine. These were not included in the price, but they were tasty. There was dancing and a band on the main floor. The band was really good. We danced on the second floor and the roof. We sailed through the bay and came back to San Destin Baytowne in time for the fireworks and drone show as well as the new year's countdown! Overall, a really nice evening! We had 2 couples going together. Of the 4 meals, 2 were very good (chicken and boneless short ribs), shrimp and grits was ok, but very small portion and the crab Mac and cheese too spicy but somehow still lacked flavor. We tried the artichoke dip appetizer which was good. The caso was at best OK. I expected better for $15. The best part of both appetizers was the soft pita bread for dipping. The drinks we got were almost universally too sweet, and didn't seem to have much liquor in them (also $15 each). The two person band was ok, but the sound system too loud for those up front, and lacking in back. The scenery from the boat would be nice in summer, but by late October it was dark by the time we got out of the harbor. Service was pretty good at first, but slow due to wait staff having to go to different floors for food and drinks. A pet peeve of mine is the poor quality pictures they take. Ours was over exposed, and not that sharp. Overall not a bad experience, but not worth the over $150 per person final tab. read more

This was a great way to spend an evening! The sunset was AMAZING and so was the food. I had the mahi mahi and this was probably the best fish I've ever had at a restaurant. I was not fond of the sauce that was paired with the fish; it was sweet and limey so it tasted like key lime pie! Luckily, the sauce was mostly poured to the side, so I was able to easily scrape it off. The mahi itself was so wonderful, it was perfect with the seasoning and just a simple squeeze of lemon. Others in my party had the beef filet and everyone commented on how great it was. The salad before the meal was excellent and it came with (what seemed like) a homemade ranch dressing. Dessert was your typical restaurant cheesecake drizzled with a fruit sauce. Appetizers are for sale. Go on the upper deck for pictures! read more

We were able to change our date to come back for our anniversary trip instead. This event changed from being on the beach to being on the Solaris yacht. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish! Julie was our day of coordinator and a joy to work with. She was very helpful and always around for anything we needed. We were able to celebrate with family and friends over wonderful appetizers, salad, dinner, dessert and beverages. The food was wonderful and we got compliments from everyone. We chose this Dinner Cruise to end off our trip and it was perfect. Starting from the beginning, we got greeted in with a photo on the dock. Each table has very nice viewing, can't go wrong. Would say requesting a window table would only be worth it during the summer when the sun isn't going down at 5pm. Service was on point, drinks were heavy and pretty reasonable priced. The atmosphere was amazing with the live band. Now with the food, the bread was delicious complimented with pesto herb dipping. Followed with a salad thats like every other salad. We both ordered the 8oz filet topped with mash potatoes & squash. It was absolutely amazing. I've had the best filet in Cancun, and honestly have to say this was up to par with it. Don't think there was an option to get it cooked any other way rather than medium. It was very soft and delicious. Both the squash and mash potatoes complimented the Filet perfectly. The dessert is cheesecake drizzled strawberry sauce that was very tasty! Would definitely recommend this to everyone that is on a trip to Destin. Price is very fair. Find any discounts online, they're doing in BOGO coupon at the moment. $75 per person for a 3 course meal including bread, live band, & cruising is pretty fair I'd say. read more

My boyfriend's family invited me to a wedding of a close family friend. I was so excited to drink ,eat, and party on a yacht. We got unlimited amounts of drinks, and a full dinner plus we go to watch a beautiful wedding ceremony. The bartender working on the second deck showed us fantastic service. Unfortunately at about 2am today, I became very ill. For I know this isn't the cruise line fault it was the worst food poisoning of my life. At around 5am my boyfriend became extremely ill as well. (we were not the only ones at the wedding that experienced this.) I only had two liquor drinks which is far less than what I normally have. I know for a fact it was the shrimp and grits for I could smell it coming up. We were unable to enjoy our beach day today and have been cooped up in bed extremely ill. I hate that this was our experience because the wedding was absolutely stunning. The food was good going down but I will probably never eat Shrimp again after this. read more

Came here for a cruise for work. Was hungry when we arrived but it pretty much took 2 hours before we finally got our main courses. We had to fill up with bread and beer to hold our hunger down. There were about 4 servers for around 100 folks on the dinner deck and I don't even know how big the kitchen actually is but the pace of the food service was really slow. I almost felt like I was at a Chinese wedding because each course was taking like an hour to come out. On the flip side, got to take pictures with the captain in the main cabin. He was very nice and accommodating and his love for the job was obvious. Didn't have any instances of sea-sickness because the water was relatively flat. My wife and I went on this cruise last night. We both thought overall that is was a pretty good experience. It's a bit pricy, probably the biggest downfall but the price does cover the cruise itself, dinner, dessert, salad as coffee/tea. They have optional appetizers that are an additional cost. We opted for the smoked tuna dip, I liked it, you could definitely taste the "smokiness" of it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and nothing took too long to come out of the kitchen. They had a musician playing live music throughout the cruise which was pretty cool. He was a pretty funny guy and once the dinner portion was over he states playing more fast, dancing songs as there was a little area to dance in front of his table. Overall, I'd take this trip again but I would definitely save it for a nice occasion just because it's a little more dressy, not really a jeans and t-shirt type of deal. read more
