They knew upon arrival that I was a Type I Diabetic and that my kidneys just failed. I now can't walk or stand on my own and I have some neurological problems stemming from the lack of responsibility from the night staff here. I went to another therapy center and now I'm in assisted nursing facility with problems from the diabetic coma I went in. No one can figure out how long I was in a coma before being found. I might have permanent damage from this facility. I DO NOT recommend.

Food was not prepared as required per dietary requirements nearly every meal A nurses aide was aggressive with horrible behavior. Most other staff were polite and professional but this one female pretty much harassed myself and a few others making the stress level high. Front desk was always welcoming when we came to visit and left. My mom's road to recovery was a positive experience here with the quality of care from all of the staff - literally every single staff member she came in contact with up until the day she was discharged. They really worked with her and were there for her at every corner and I appreciated that more than anything - especially the days we couldn't be there.

My mom spent weeks there and just got worse. Her memory was bad and was very weak that she could…read morehardly get out of bed and needed 1 to 2 people to assist. I saw her at group physical therapy and the patients would just stare at her while my mom's mind was elsewhere. It broke my heart. She said the therapy was loud and it stressed her out, but he had to be because some people don't hear good, but it was loud and it echoed in the room. My mom is wheelchair bound and they told Medicare that she had walked so many feet which was enough to be discharged. They discharged her with a wound and UTI to Arbrook Plaza for nursing home care. Arbrook Plaza did not give up on my mom. Instead of nursing home they put her in the rehab side of it first and 6 weeks later instead of nursing home she got to come home with no UTI, no wound and her memory and strength is back to where she can transfer herself in and out of wheelchair to her bed or restroom and dress herself. I'm glad Encompass gave up on my mom or else she wouldn't have gone to Arbrook Plaza. Yes Arbrook Plaza is an old building but the quality is great.

Dr. Hopkins was kind, thorough, reassuring, and listened to my desired outcomes and what was reasonable to me. He had a great sense of humor and a warm demeanor. Most importantly, he wasn't doing the "worst case scenarios" thing docs do, or pushing anything unneeded that I've experienced in the medical setting before. I left with an elevated mood because I felt that I best understood the situation, and Dr. Hopkins put me at ease. While I hope that I never lacerate my hand and break my bone again, if I do, I will absolutely go directly back to Dr. Hopkins and his team. For me, referrals, specialists and the idea of surgery is a scary thing, but I cannot say enough for how much I appreciated the approach of Dr. Hopkins. Furthermore if you need MRI"s or treatment they only do it at Baylor Scott & White in Arlington on Highland. I will never go there again if that is the only place the doctors at Arlington Orthopedics can send patients to. If I thought that Arlington Orthopedics was bad about blowing up up your phone, Baylor is a thousand times worse especially when it comes to getting their money before your procedure! I received multiple calls and text from multiple people there daily wanting their money. We were waiting for our insurance to process claims from another procedure somewhere else where our deductible could be seen by Baylor. Still the day before my procedure they sent another text saying they have to have my payment tomorrow in all caps! What business does this? Even on the day of we had to sit in the business office and hash all this over again and again which made things very stressful before having a procedure. Lastly out of 2 visits there, I have only encountered one nice person. No one there cares about anything except getting your money. My advice is to think long and hard about Arlington Orthopedics if you think you may need an actual procedure and then you better have your money ready and your ducks in a row. Baylor Scott & White is very aggressive in getting their money. That's all that matters to them.

My treatment plan was personalized specifically to my needs and goals, not just cookie cutter post-op exercises. At each step there was a mixture of exercises I could do fairly easily in order to warm up and build confidence and those that challenged me. When I expressed a need to be able to climb tall stairs and a ladder, exercises were adapted in order for me to accomplish this. Highly recommend.

Left in wet diapers for hours, left in dirty clothes for several days (yes DAYS), had sores on his…read morebottom from being dragged in the bed, basically like carpet burns. They put him on a "heart healthy diet" when he had no dietary restrictions, kept giving him alertness medication at night (modafinl) which should only be given in the morning or daytime. I repeatedly told them not to give it at night or he wouldn't sleep and heal. It was ignored. He told me that care givers were coming in and shoving food into his mouth. I didn't witness that personally, but I will say that I was bringing him dinner at 7:30pm, well after their standard meal time and he was eating everything I brought which tells me that he wasn't eating well. The worst part (for me) was how they treated me when I was trying to get him transferred back to the hospital. His doctor was on vacation and couldn't be reached for a few days and it wasn't safe to transfer a severely immune compromised patient to the ER while a massive flu outbreak was happening. I was trying to get him directly admitted to the hospital. They kept telling me our insurance wouldn't pay for any longer stay which was an outright lie. I'd been in contact several times with Blue Cross Blue Shield and they said there was no timeline for him to be out of their facility and that they understood why I didn't want an immune compromised patient to be sent to the ER. They called me several times a day basically saying that they were kicking him out. He hadn't been there 12 days. I finally had to hire a medical transport company ($250) to take him back to the hospital and go through the Emergency Room process. He has now been in the ICU since, but is just now making progress towards a recovery. My husband has twice now had extremely bad reactions to medications that caused severe auto-immune responses affecting his ability to walk and this time it was attacking his central nervous system and causing brain swelling. My husband has had to come here a couple of times for physical rehabilitation. The first time was wonderful and he progressed very quickly (which is the only reason this isn't a 0 star. The 2nd time was a nightmare. First he shouldn't have been accepted there and should have stayed in the hospital, he was not ready. They did not send someone to physically evaluate him before the transfer. Unless you or a loved one is only recovering from minor surgery I wouldn't bring them here. Especially if they are mentally compromised, there's no telling how they'll be treated if they cannot tell you what is happening to them.

The entire facility was spotless and all the doctors and nursing staff were very knowledgeable and had great bedside manner. The therapists were all excellent. Of special note is our PT, Ashton! My wife required intense medical care as well as therapy and all requirements were exceeded. We cannot say enough nice things about this fine facility. If you are seeking fantastic care for either yourself or a loved one, then your search is over!

If you need surgery you're a priority but after that, get in line. While some aspects of the practice are as good as they were 5-7 years, others have significantly eroded . Scheduling and communication are two of the biggest negative changes - not sure why, actually, just based on recent experience with a surgeon's medical assistant and surgery scheduler. Our experience included not receiving return phone calls when promised, not honoring commitments to appointments as discussed, and these are things that we as patients can evaluate - as opposed to how great the surgery was.

Next issue was addressed by Dr Even. He has a great group, can't speak highly enough about both Dr Even and his PA Ambrosia. Amazing team. Couple years and I'm back with a hip replacement. Once again, Dr Seroyer does an outstanding job. Back on my feet in 2 weeks. Another 2 years roll by and again I need to see Dr Even. Had to have another fusion and they found a small cyst in L3. After recuperating I was good as new. My latest adventure was another spine issue and Dr Even and his team were just as professional as they were the other 2 times. Still recuperating from the last one. Over my 10 years experience, The Surgery skills and desire to get you up and going again are the best there is. As with all offices, changes have been made and sadly not all for the better. Thankfully, the team of Dr Even and Ambrosia are still intact and I would call them again tomorrow if my back needs work. If my other knee and hip need work, Dr Seroyer will get the call. There are issues getting to see the Drs due to schedules and as such, appointments are given to the doctors PA. Thank goodness Dr Even has an excellent PA with Ambrosia. Never worry about visit with them. They are the Best Drs around. That's the reason the PROs use Dr Meister, Dr Seroyer and Dr Even and I fully understand wht.
