I was trying this during the holidays and hadn't committed to eating right and working out but these last two months I've done just that and last month lost 9 pounds. I had nothing to show for after spending $500+ on Botox injections here. And I mean no result. I figured that's what I get for spending money on trying to fix something cosmetic. However, I had had Botox injections from a different spa 6 mins prior and had great results. I've also gone elsewhere since my experience here and again I had wonderful results!! HORRIBLE establishment. DO NOT give your money to them! I signed up in November 2022 for laser sessions. I paid $1,000 up front. I never used their services because their laser was always breaking so my appointments kept having to be rescheduled. Since May 2023, I have been asking them for my money back. They refuse. You can't get anyone on the phone. I have been messaging someone on their Instagram (so professional), and they refuse to call me back. I posted a comment on one of their Instagram photos and they deleted it. I have proof of all my communication with them. They have the audacity to ask me to contact their former employees who "took the money". How is that my problem, and no company should ask a customer to go chasing former employees. Very unprofessional and unethical people. I will be handling this with my credit card company, who will go after Destinations Medical Spa, not the "former employees". read more

Maria sat with me and explained why I really didn't need lip filler and what I really needed . what she said made perfect sense . no one has ever explained in more detail as to why if you start to fill one area you need to do other area for specific reasons ... Do not recommend, I went here and went to the nirse's house repeatedly a few years ago and the results were always excessive bruising and never looked that different. The nurse/doctor's house is not sterile enough to do procedures with needles. This place is sus. It is now 5/14 and NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME! Oh and Skyler, FYI Here are the facts: 1. NO ONE called me back after all my calls to Urban Skin Care. I was the one who continuously called & called. I even called URBAN today. 2. The matter is still OPEN with my credit card. It has not been resolved 3. The other person i was with ALSO had a problem with the Botox 4. I live in SAN FRANCISCO. You would know this if you called my 415 number back 5. The person who administered the Botox worked out of a piece of luggage and did not wear gloves. That is UNHYGIENIC. It was not a sanitary environment. It was performed in a room in a basement by the freeway and the room was not cleaned in between our treatments. Do NOT go to Dr. Richardson for any type of work! I went for Juvaderm filler in my face and had thee most horrible experience. Not only was she very brash and unkind (not to mention in a huge hurry), she did AWFUL work and I know have to face the world for another 6-9 months until the clumps and gaps in my skin (from the fillers) dissolve - if that even happens. I look horrible. I went for a follow-up appt and she had the nerve to tell me "it looks great" even though I can see the surprised look on her face when I walked in. Their whole "organization" is money-hungry. This will become evident with your first visit - EVEN with your first phone call. I should have gone with my gut after my first telephone call with Skylar as she was entirely too rude and was rushing to get my credit card information. I explained that I was a bit uneasy with just handing over my credit card and she had the nerve to say "well, we feel the same way - so it works both ways" (something to that extent). Donna Richardson also has a pompous demeanor and is not afraid to complement HERSELF during your visit while saying little bitter comments to the client - do your research before settling with this place!! Honestly, the only kind person throughout my whole experience with Destinations Medical Spa was the lady who took my billing information - that alone speaks for itself. MONEY HUNGRY. Do not go forward with these people. and Skylar is a nightmare!! Go with your gut! and not with this business. Excellent experience. My call to make my appointment was returned immediately. I was able to schedule something in the quick time frame I requested. Dr. Richardson came to my friend's home, who is also her patient. I was getting a new treatment, so I was a little nervous. She quickly put me at ease, explained what was going to happen, how it was going to feel, the expected results, etc. I couldn't be more delighted with the results. Several people have asked if I've switched make up, had my eyebrows done, or just have been getting really good sleep, that I look refreshed :-) We talked about some other issues I was having with my skin. Super happy with the care I received from Dr. Richardson. I was slightly surprised about the less than perfect reviews so I had to take a peek. As a healthcare professional, I giggled a bit. Dr. Richardson is a general surgeon with a LOT of experience. She was also completely polite and cordial to me. Having said that, we need to weigh the importance of someone being your best buddy, or being the best at medical procedures. After talking with Dr. Richardson, I am keenly aware of the amount of REAL life time and experience she has in the field. This is important folks. It's not the knitting circle, or hanging out with the girls(even though I'd probably love to grab a glass of wine with her). It's paying for a service from someone who is beyond qualified to perform it. Not only that, she's mobile! So as I said. I had to giggle at some of the reviews. Someone complained that the doctor did a dental block? Really?!? I'm floored. Most medspas barely throw some lidocaine cream on ya and jab away! The doc not only does dental blocks but she injects novacaine for local procedures even though the product has lidocaine in them. Guess what. That's not free! Next time say thanks! There are plenty of people out there who will hold your hand and be your best friend, and take your money who are underqualified to do what the doc does. Destinations has a variety of procedures and is very convenient. Shannon was very helpful and answered all of my questions about procedures and price. A big downfall for me was there was no face-to-face consultation before my first procedure. Yes, I spoke with Shannon over the phone, but she did not see my face and the areas I wanted help with. After 2 IPL's I realized it was not the best option for melasma, and I should have done a cosmelan peel in the first place. This would have saved me almost $1000! I think a face-to-face consultation is mandatory before a contract is signed. Be very cautious of the payment plans. They will try to charge you on different dates for different amounts than agreed upon in the contract. I also received no copy of my contract. I would not refer them to a friend. read more
