I highly recommend Dr. Saami at Som Aesthetics! A few years ago I had surgery for basal cell carcinoma right next to my eye and along my nose, and I was honestly freaked out that I was going to look like Frankenstein afterward. The scar was going to span more than an inch across my face in a very visible area. I went to Sami and he immediately made me feel so much about about the potential for the scar to eventually not be visible at all. And sure enough three laser treatments and a few months later there is no scar and no discoloration. You genuinely cannot tell that I ever had surgery there at all. I could not be happier with the results. I'm actually returning to him again this fall to do another set of laser treatments on another sense area because I trust him and was so happy with my experience the first time. I saw Dr. Saami to begin my Accutane journey. I was told up front that the cost would be $250 for the entire 6 months (as well as my copay when I go to pick up the medicine of course). 3 months into my Accutane journey (after not even seeing Dr. Saami at my last appointment which is not legal), I was told that the fee is now $250 PER visit rather than $250 total. I was told this two days before I was going to be out of medication and asked that the fee be waived for my upcoming appointment to which the patient care coordinator said no. It was not until I said I would file a complain with the medical board that Dr. Saami called and said he will waive the fee this time, however in the coming months I would have to pay. Going on Accutane is a huge deal for the individual, and for SOM aesthetics, it was a sleazy move to change the pricing in the middle of the process. I was felt not cared for and ethically I could not believe that the doctor I trusted did not have the decency to stay with me through this emotional process. I'm not sure how Dr. Saami is as an injector or in procedures, I'm sure good, but his morals and ethics are very messed up. I have proof from Mason that I was told it was going to be $250 for the entire process and they just changed their fees in the middle. Other medical professionals I have spoken to are convinced that this is a routine scheme conducted by SOM aesthetics- you sign up being guaranteed one price and then they switch it in the middle of the process, leaving you either forced to pay to stay with them or scrambling to find a new provider. I would not recommend Dr. Saami as your prescriber for Accutane, and if you do decide to go with him, get a signed document when he tells you the price is $250 for the entire journey through SOM aesthetics. read more

I finally treated myself to the Halo laser with Tixel! Dr. Saami and his team took such good care of me before and after the treatment. I had access to Mason (patient advocate) via text which made scheduling, rescheduling and preparing for the laser with my million questions very convenient. The day of my appointment, Dr. Saami managed my expectations for the procedure (pain levels, options etc) and the downtime and healing process. And if I haven't mentioned the facilities yet, absolute state of the art, including the bathroom! Toilet comes with heated seats and more buttons than my 2005 Razr phone. I'm not recommending SOM because of heated seats, obviously, but emphasizing that the attention to detail for patient care is an indicator of Dr. Saami and his team's standards. If SOM is not on your self-care list, you should question your life decisions :) read more
