This antique mall has been around a long long time and is very well established. I looked around and noticed that a lot of what I was seeing is knick knacks and I was looking more for furniture. There is SOME furniture to be had but really not much and the prices are very high. Yes...I like knick knacky things but I certainly wouldn't fill up my house with them.

The entire store is pretty overpriced. Ex: saw a cute watch by a brand i've never heard of, didn't work and it was $89. Then i saw old wooden alphabet blocks in a bag for $3 each.. This is more of a knick-knack experience, so much to see from the late 1800's to today. Maybe not the 2000s....but up to the 2000s. Opened in 2008, 20,000 square feet of space with 100 individual vendors...it is truly a comprehensive experience. This mall and others like it probably are better suited to true history buffs. I like antiques that are still functional and don't have that "old" smell. I enjoyed looking around and even found some things that I may purchase, however, Im on a mission to find furniture at reasonable prices.

I usually use Salvation Army but ended up in the Humane Society Thrift store parking lot. While cars space /parking is at a premium, they have done a fine job in assuring that they can receive objects efficiently. I was impressed. On another day, I went back to peruse the store. I found it very well organized, clean, and, though full to the rafters with treasures, pleasant to shop in. The workers are great, as well. I highly recommend a trip to see it! We were in a long line of cars but they took us in order. It was worth the wait. Sadly people just don't care and there's an overwhelming amount of feral cat colonies in Ocala. Thanks to this shelter we can get them spayed/neutered for free. I can't imagine not having them in our city.
