The food was great. I had the special of the day. Salisbury Steak, mashed potatoes and a salad. My wife ordered the steak moderately and salad. She loved her dinner. They had no problem preparing hers with no mushrooms. Mine was very good and the brown gravy was phenomenal tasting. Madi our waitress was pleasant, attentive and an all around great waitress. Nice neighborhood feeling bar with all your favorite local foods and drinks. Good sized place with two separate and joined service areas. One more like a restaurant and the other. More of a bar style layout. We shared toasted raviolis, French dip sandwich, and beef and potato soup. Ravs were good, tho a little over cooked. French dip as well, but felt like the bread was doughy, and the soup a thicker soup with more beef than veggies. Yea! Service was good, food as well, and nice decor. I went in hoping to have one of their great burgers. The bar wasn't that crowded, the outdoor area was about 75% full. The side opposite the outdoor area wasn't very crowded but there was a table of about 14. I was seated and told someone would be with me shortly. After 10 minutes of waiting, I left. I looked in the bar but no bartender. I saw the hostess and she said they were very busy but she would get someone, I said no, that's how it started. This is a local restaurant bar, with a very simple premise of serving, pub food (pizza, burgers, some dinner items, and salads. We had the fried mushrooms to start out with a half order of nachos supreme. Both good, but shy of enough chips to complement the toppings for the nachos. Focus on domestic beer, limited draft beer. Limited choices on bourbon and no microbrews were shared by wait staff. Attentive wait staff, but ours was still learning to ensure that we had silverware after it was taken away, and we re-ordered dinner. Soup lacked warmth when it was served, sent it back. Manager was nice to bring new bowl, thank you! Rather bland to taste, Checking of drinks could be more frequent, or check if another drink is needed without having to ask. Nice server and courteous. We live only about 1/2 mile from Detour and we're glad that such a nice place is so close. The servers are always friendly and the food is consistently tasty. They're often very busy, which typically speaks to how good a place is. Check the website for daily specials - everything is good though. Went back again and this time I enjoyed it. I got a pulled pork sandwich and some fries. The sandwich was generously topped with creamy coleslaw the pork was warm and in good portion. The fries last time were quite a disappointment this time were actually quite the star they were came out warm and hot and perfectly seasoned. While I am not a fan of their beer selection it was acceptable I had a blue moon with an orange wedge in it. The service was great honestly the bartender was quite a worker and she definitely earned her tip. In the end I honestly say that while I may not seek this place out again. I would not turn this place down if a friend suggested that we go there or if I was in the area. read more

We were in the area and thought o well we want something to eat so we got cheese sticks ,a hamburger ,and some fries ,and this place is the most expensive for this food that we ordered it was over $ 25.00 ,WOW , and to top it off the fries were cold ,the cheese sticks were cold ,nasty ,and the burger was over done and dry for a medium cooked burger . we don't recommend this place we were very disappointed .We had to go back home which was 2 blocks and throw most of it away . read more

Neighborhood bar and surprisingly busy with regular people. Went in on a Wednesday evening around 6:30 and it was full of families dining with kids in sports uniforms. They have a rather big menu for a local bar in the country. I ordered an 8 oz sirloin it came with a salad and baked potato. The salad had the dressing put on it already and it was a little too much for me but I did eat every bite. The steak was cooked medium well and not medium like I asked but still was tasty and tender. The didn't have a very good alcohol selection either mainly domestic and some more common favorites like corona and blue moon. There are no taps here just bottles. The atmosphere was bland. Service was really good and super friendly. My husband had the fish sandwich and he thought it was excellent. read more

Came across this neighborhood bar and grill when we were searching for a new place to karaoke. Got there early as it was a Friday night and we weren't sure how many people would be there. Was seated immediately and by a tv to watch the soccer final games. There's a lot on the menu so you'll find something to satisfy your hunger. I got chicken fingers, which were golden brown and served with 2 sides, which were fries and a salad. Plenty of food that you could probably share with someone. Staff was friendly and nice. The only complaint I have about them is that the busboys are at your side to take that plate/cup the moment you take the last drop. It actually was a bit too much that they came around. Once done we moved over to the bar area for karaoke. The guy was super nice and the karaoke selection was huge. The way the sound carried in the openness of the bar was awesome. Tonight was our first visit there. We probably won't be going back. The service was OK and the lady was nice, but the food wasn't the best. I feel bad that my husband only tipped a little more than 10% because the waitress didn't make the food bad. The bacon wrapped jalapenos were great and the salads that came with the meals were good. However we were very disappointed in the broiled Salmon fillets with dijon mustard sauce. Unfortunately, they were very bland to say the least and my husband's was dry. The garlic mashed potatoes were lacking in flavor too. Also, my son chose the steak from the kids menu and he didn't even eat all of it. He said it was horrible and he really loves steak! In truth, my husband and I tasted it and it wasn't the greatest. :( Maybe we chose the wrong things to order from the menu because there was a fair amount of people there and they seemed happy, but the majority of them were there to drink. So, in my opinion, when you are drinking...anything tastes good. However, there's nice selection of food on the menu and many things I wish I would have tried instead of the salmon. I think this is maybe one of those places in which you will just have to personally try it for yourself to see if you like it. Also, I am sure it is a great place to hang out and drink with your drinking buddies. We rarely drink and it is usually at home or very little in restaurants. I think this just isn't our type of environment. So, I probably won't get a second chance to try other foods from the menu. You need to prepare yourself if you are sensitive to smoke. Unfortunately I am and I had my 7 year old son with me too. The smoking and non-smoking areas are only divided by a tall wall and it didn't seem as though they had good enough ventilation to keep the non-smoking truly non-smoking. But, good luck trying to find a place in MO that successfully separates smoking and non-smoking areas. You usually have to walk through the smoking area just to get to the non-smoking area. Not sure who thought up that brilliant idea. At least this place didn't make me do that. However you must if you choose to eat outside. I just need to check prior to going to a place from now on. I am just too used to living in areas that mandate non-smoking in public places. It will probably be a cold day in hell before MO people let that law pass. read more

My review is simple I ordered the Baked Spaghetti on Monday night (All U Can Eat) (http://www.kidseatfreemonday.com/) has on their site kids eat free on Monday. While I was told they do not. In this day and age it is up to the business to verify erroneous info on the web about their business. The Baked spaghetti was supposed to be baked it was not. The Baked Spaghetti was suppose be covered in cheese (PROVEL) it was not. The Baked Spaghetti was luke warm at best. Needless to say I did not order anymore. The sauce was so heavy with Basil that was all you could taste. We also ordered a gourmet pretzel it taste like it was put in the microwave you know how bread gets in the micro kind of stale and chewy. The sad part it is so close to my house that I would love to be able to go there and eat. I however do not drink and it has been my experience that drunk people do not care what they eat cause they are buzzed. This is a great place to take a friend for a beer. We love to come here for wings. They have a nice wing sauce and they have quite a bit of meat on them each time we come. A lot of wing places I've been to either have one or the other, but usually not both. We are always pretty pleased with the wings here. I will also say they have good burgers and their nachos aren't half bad either. You do get large portions and the price is not bad. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because on Friday and Saturday nights they have karaoke and it gets pretty weird pretty fast. That's just me though. read more
