The gym is excellent for me. They have a wide variety of equipment, which is plus for me. There is a good amount of free weights, dumbbells, and kettle bells. The Sports Club has a some cable equipment, and a QueenEx (like a jungle gym) which has TRX-type equipment. They have a number of machines. There is not a lot of open space in the gm, but there is enough room for normal workout. At a couple of times the gym can be packed, but normally there is plenty of space. And, there are times the gym is completely empty. There is a cardio section on a different level from the gym, which has treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, etc...They also have a short track around the gym area, which people walk. The classes are very good. Most people could get by taking the classes (which are included) in place of a personal trainer (they have those, as well). My Favorite thing - Towell service. I need a towel when I workout, and I cannot express how much I love that The Sports Club has them available. They do a pretty good job keeping the facility clean. The staff is generally friendly and accommodating. The only real downside for me is the building needs some upkeep, and the parking is a disaster - think grocery store. The club is on the expensive side for running on a treadmill, but it is well priced if you make use of all the club offers.

The playground is what every 2-8 year old has wished for their WHOLE lives. Looks like a pirate ship, has a fast slide...what more do you need? We do not tennis. But I am sure it is wonderful. There are 2 pools. First one is a kiddie and honestly, I wish they had a splash pad in it's place. It is very shallow and just kind of boring. The other is a 6 lane pool with a dive tank - and my kids think it is amazing. They have a swim team and lessons. We are just going to play in the pool this summer, then try for the team in the future. The "clubhouse" is small, there are not lockers. Bathrooms are clean and seemingly just got upgraded. There are grills about to make food, and they have a small snack station. I guess there was hot food previously, but they are investigating whether it makes sense to reopen? Not sure, I'm new. Currently there is pop, water, chips and ice cream. So basically every kid food group. I am super excited for this summer, it is already fun!

In my opinion, their cardio is great and the weight machines, which were updated last year, are also very good. I like the quiet, non-assuming atmosphere. For the most part, patrons keep to themselves and that is fine. The gym is basically clean and they provide wipes to clean the machines after using them. I like that. The reason for the lower rating is that for all the years I have been a member, there are but a handful of, actual, friendly staff members. A few great ones that go back a long way, but for the most part, the staff is not welcoming or at all personable. So, do not join for the customer service, just come for the good equipment and cleanliness. And one big thing is that during the summer, the ac is never adequate! Adding ceiling fans would be a welcome addition to the workout facility!

The treadmills here are unique in that they have a track feature which allows you to see your progress. This gym also has good shower facilities. I recently took a Zumba class on Friday at 8:45 am and it was difficult but a lot of fun. It was my first time experiencing it so I arrived a few minutes early to introduce myself to the instructor and tell her it was my first time. Her name was Karen and she has been instructing Zumba for 7 years. She was a student of a very good Brazilian dancer and it shows. The class was animated and high energy, I struggled to keep up and will need a few more classes to get some of the moves but when I did get the moves I felt exhilarated. I stayed after to talk with Karen and she recommended that I stay on my toes and do a 4 or 8 count to keep the pace when switching moves. She wasn't harsh when the students didn't get it right she just kept smiling and kept the class moving. I'll be coming back again soon to take more lessons from her.

I love that it feels like a little family and I've made several friends here. It isn't the shiniest or newest place, but that is what I love. It doesn't feel pretentious and I don't feel intimidated to work out, which is something I've hated about other gyms. They also sell snacks and shakes, have a small salon and very clean locker rooms. I joined when the gym first opened and I think that it was cleaner then. It still is clean and some of the workers work very hard and are always there. However, often times I will find that the bathrooms or showers are dirty. This was usually a problem when I used to go at night but I also noticed it in the morning once. I love that the steam room is very clean and that they close it to clean it. The pools are really clean too. I dislike that instead of opening the door sometimes the valet guys will just stand there talking with one another. I get it they're young but the least they could do is acknowledge you and attempt to open the door. Sometimes the front desk people say goodbye, other times they don't. Overall, the workers are really kind and the people here are really kind. I also don't like how crowded it gets around 5-7pm. I try to avoid that time. I wish they had made the gym multiple floors when they opened it. I feel as though they'll probably have to expand it in the future or open another one. The reason I love coming to this gym is because of the great classes they offer. The app is very helpful and shows classes throughout the day. Linda is an amazing yoga instructor. When I went to lifetime I'd pay for yoga and the gym separately because I didn't like their classes but here the instructors are all great. I also really like Erica.
