They have a huge selection of guns, and rifles. If you want to try one without a membership, there is a fee. But with certain memberships, I think it is free. Our time on the range was good. What we received for our membership was a plus. The line for members was a little long. They only had one line open. Eventually a man came and opened another lane, but this was for non-members.

I did the rifle and pistol ranges, which are down a long paved downhill sidewalk. 100 and 50 yard rifle and 3 to 25 yard pistol. There are some pistol plates. The firing positions are covered. There a safety employee on site who calls for the target change and supervises to make sure no one is near their firearms. Clean, well maintained. For some reason the targets use toothpicks, which is bad when the wind blows. Nice shooting benches. The range is pricey. Maybe too much. Probably too much.

The Range was organized and got us all our shooting requirements in with half of the people needing to rent a firearm, safety glasses, earplugs, and ammo. Another time I was in there it was a lineup for the range and you could smell marijuana on somebody's clothes. The manager came over and told everyone that if they had been smoking pot, they needed to leave not only because it was dangerous but because they are federally licensed and marijuana is still illegal federally. The manager eventually had to ask them to leave. I went in another time, looking for a particular holster and couldn't find it and when I was walking out I asked the guy behind the counter if he could find one for me for my firearm and he went over to where all the holsters were and found the right one for my handgun. My weapon is 35 years old yet he matched it up perfectly.

I had some questions about different models which he answered without any attitude. When we had a problem with a target holder in our rental lane, he also quickly found another employee to fix the issue. I appreciated that. Later that day another guy was working the rental counter and seemed to be having a bad day. He got frazzled very easily, handed me the wrong model for rent, and then had trouble finding my ID when it came time to return the rental. He was a bit all over the place - so if you end up dealing with him my advice would be to take your time and make sure you check everything carefully before leaving the counter and the facility. As for the range itself, it was largely fine. They were doing mechanical and electrical repairs on some of the lanes while people were using adjacent lanes...probably not ideal from a safety standpoint... At any rate, I'll probably give this place another try before forming a final opinion. I may try to go during a less busy time as it gets quite crowded on weekend afternoons.

Knowing the high price they charge to shoot Sporting Clays there, a group of us shot their Ridge Sporting Clays course expecting a top notch experience. The course itself was laid out as expected with nothing special. The targets were all the same size and had only decent arrangement. We kept waiting for the good stuff. Sad to say that never happened. As anyone knows the throwers will malfunction at any course. With one expected "no bird" when the button was depressed on 5 of 14 of the stations, this was acceptable to us. Until we went to pay. They charged us over .50 per extra count. They literally give you ZERO extra birds or no-throws on the 100 machines. With other ranges giving 40 per 100, we didn't expect to pay for 22 over. It's not the cost per se, it's the audacity. This place is way overpriced and very underwhelming. My group of shooters will not be back there.
