That's when I witnessed the awesome power of what a shotgun can do to a person. I assure you, it was disgusting as much as it was fascinating. Well, I come from a gun-toting family. My mother can bust ass with a 45-magnum, and my sister could probably make a career as a professional sniper. For the longest time, they thought I was adopted because I had absolutely no interest in guns. After school was over, I decided it was time. IT WAS AWESOME. My axilla are bruised (both! learned that although I'm right handed, I'm a lefty shot). I had a teenager help me out since it was my first time. I yelped my first shot (and not in the usual yelp-kinda way). Since I'm a girl and it was my first time, I got 2 boxes of shot free. Normally $3 a box. 100 shots = $30 = better way of spending 1.5 hours of entertainment than in the casino, and way more rewarding, I assure you. They will lend you the gun, ear protection, eye protection. Ask for David, the young lad who helped me out. It was my first time bringing my rifle the lady at the counter and asked me what type of caliber I was shooting and what kind of ammo I said 5.56 green tip she notified me that the green tips were not allowed on the range so I purchased non-green tip 556 round from them and I proceeded to go to the pistol range after I was done at the pistol range I went to the counter and the lady requested I give her my green tip rounds as I was pulling my ammo out of the bag to give to her the manager, Gary Allen was very rude and was harassing me as I was giving it to her so I requested my money back on the ammo. This place is not friendly at all. I do not recommend spending your money here. I would take it to somewhere else like Center Mass in Livonia where they're friendly and they treat you like family. I don't know what's wrong with that guy that day, but that was very disrespectful and I will be taking my money elsewhere again stay away from this place. They are very unprofessional. Also to note you can read other reviews about this place about how they are rude and unprofessional. My wife and I took the CPL class and we thought it was very good. There must've been 25 people in…read morethe class. The Range was organized and got us all our shooting requirements in with half of the people needing to rent a firearm, safety glasses, earplugs, and ammo. Another time I was in there it was a lineup for the range and you could smell marijuana on somebody's clothes. The manager came over and told everyone that if they had been smoking pot, they needed to leave not only because it was dangerous but because they are federally licensed and marijuana is still illegal federally. The manager eventually had to ask them to leave. I went in another time, looking for a particular holster and couldn't find it and when I was walking out I asked the guy behind the counter if he could find one for me for my firearm and he went over to where all the holsters were and found the right one for my handgun. My weapon is 35 years old yet he matched it up perfectly.

I had some questions about different models which he answered without any attitude. When we had a problem with a target holder in our rental lane, he also quickly found another employee to fix the issue. I appreciated that. Later that day another guy was working the rental counter and seemed to be having a bad day. He got frazzled very easily, handed me the wrong model for rent, and then had trouble finding my ID when it came time to return the rental. He was a bit all over the place - so if you end up dealing with him my advice would be to take your time and make sure you check everything carefully before leaving the counter and the facility. As for the range itself, it was largely fine. They were doing mechanical and electrical repairs on some of the lanes while people were using adjacent lanes...probably not ideal from a safety standpoint... At any rate, I'll probably give this place another try before forming a final opinion. I may try to go during a less busy time as it gets quite crowded on weekend afternoons.

Having discovered this hidden gem accidentally via Google, we made this archery range the first…read morestop of the day for our friend's bachelor party. Our group arrived around 10 am on a Saturday, just after an actual class was finishing up, and we were able to start immediately after a bit of hassle with paying (be forewarned: they only take cash). Given that none of us had ever shot a bow before, we were apprehensive at first, but the instructor was very understanding, and even stated immediately that his first priority was safety, and secondarily to improve our technique. He seemed rather strict, but I know it was so no one ended up with an arrow to the knee. In particular, he was extremely clear about when we were to shoot and even how to safely remove the arrows from the targets. Internally, I laughed because I've been to gun ranges with less detailed focus on safety. Once the group had shot a few rounds, the real fun began: he gave us some historical background on how commanders would command archers to loose their arrows, and even had us reenact the scene by having the bachelor issue the same commands to our group! If that's not a good start to a bachelor party, what is?
