Today was a great visit! The employee was a very arty young girl with fun piercings. She was friendly and definitely took care of me, price wise. I didn't realize that a lot of the things I got were not included in the bag price, my bad. She was so sweet and gave me a great price. Everything was clearly for my classroom. He will look you in the eyes & gas light you. As far as his inventory? He has mostly junk and a few pieces, like a Black Panthers poster, priced at $4,500. If he sells that, maybe he pays the bills for a few months. Who knows? Recently we approached him with an offer to sell a lifetime of rock n roll framed art, most by original artists & numbered & framed. Of course he says, "I'll let you know in a day." Here we go again! Lol. After a week, we called him. He wasn't interested in anything except two pieces by one of Detroit's best known Kustom Kulture artists, who owns his own gallery in Royal Oak & has done shows all over the world. "Not familiar with him," says Bob. But he WILL put them online (actually he said his son, we're not sure Bob knows what a URL is) & split it 60/40 his way IF they are not mounted. We know the artist & asked him the value of said pieces. Twice as much as Bob's quote and more IF framed. Not less.
