Warning, hire at your own risk. Nick (the owner) seemed to be a straight up, honest guy; however,…read morehe does not keep his word nor does he take accountability for his mistakes. The work that was completed was incredibly shoddy but the main grievance I have is that Nick's Bobcat leaked ALL of it's hydraulic fluid over half my driveway. Because it was so much, there was no way to absorb it all before it started eating away at my asphalt. This is forcing me to have to repave my driveway and Nick is ignoring that it is his fault (and my attempts to contact him). As for the shoddy work, I had 2 retaining walls to repair plus a "patch" fix on my driveway. For the main wall (which was a big job), Nick told me in the "sales pitch" that they would replace the weeping tile, put in new gravel, tamp each layer down, put in an outlet for the water to drain, put on new top soil, and seed. Well, NONE of that actually happened. Once the wall was set straight, they basically dumped everything back in and considered it done. I had to put another yard of top soil on and seed it myself. The other problem that I have with this wall is Nick's attention to detail. The facing of the wall is 'finished'; however, when he put (what he calls) "tie backs" into place, he didn't even bother buying ones that had a 'finished' edge so, basically, the wall looks great except for the 2 spots where there is smooth, unfinished spots. For the other wall, unlike the main wall, they didn't go back far enough to 'blend' the wall from where it is angled to where it is level leaving a HUGE gap which is basically the height of a full block. Plus, when they put the wall back together, keeping in mind that the materials were already there, they put it back wrong so there are huge gaps / holes / spaces at the stairs. The only response I got from Nick on this was, "they used all the pieces"... Yes, but just because you used everything doesn't mean it was done right or well. The other ISSUE I have is that they didn't even clean up after themselves; leaving mud, dirt, and gravel all over the driveway. For the "patch" fix, it was horribly done and looked like (and mentioned to me by a few people coming to quote replacing the driveway) that they only used a rake and didn't tamp it properly. Plus, it ended up being 1/4" LOWER than the driveway (which made the spot worst than what they fixed). Nick's only comments during my attempts to get this fixed is that he "did me a favour" by agreeing to my budget; however, I now am stuck spending more money to get someone that KNOWS what they are doing to come in a fix this fiasco. The other word of warning is that Nick pushes to get paid BEFORE the work is finished because, I'm sure, he has problems getting paid after due to the quality of work that he doesn't put into the job.

The only redeeming factor for this company is they subcontracted to someone who was fantastic to do…read moreour garage door opener install. Everything before that was a pretty big fail. Seems like they are contractors for the big chains like Lowe's. We bought a garage door opener from Lowe's and they use this company to contract out for the installs. When we tried to book the initial assessment, I asked for a weekend or weekday after 5pm install which I know is not common. The person just said "okay hold on" and transferred me to Lowe's customer service without informing either myself or Lowe's why they transferred me. After explaining the situation, the Lowe's employee figured out what was going on and got me to the right person. When we tried to book the actual install, Lowe's helped us place an explicit order with them so that they would book us a weekend or weekday after 5pm install. When we got the link to schedule, just weekdays 8-4pm were given to me. When they called me, same issue as above. They even sent me 2 emails from 2 different people telling me to book within the next 3 days between 7-4 pm or else they wouldn't be able to book me in for a month! Finally I got someone else from that company on the line and they subcontracted out to someone else to take my job (Thank goodness because I'm not sure how much more miscommunication/lack of communication I could have taken). After that it was smooth but I must have sent them 4 emails, called them at least 5 times to sort it out (not including calls to Lowe's to ask them to help me). I'm not sure what Lowe's had to do but I'm pretty sure they must have communicated with them a few times to clarify. Overall, probably stay away if you can. Unfortunately, they service the big box chains so maybe buy the merchandise but skip the install from Lowe's.

My washer, dryer, and pedestals were purchased at Leon's in Fredericton, NB, and the installation…read morewas arranged through them. The technician who arrived was completely unprofessional. The body odour was so overwhelming it lingered in my house for over an hour after he left. He was also sniffling the entire visit despite appearing to have a cold. I'm travelling to another province to meet my newborn nephew, and exposing customers to illness is unacceptable. During the installation he: * Tore off the permanent foam spacer between the washer and pedestal, believing it should be removed. * Had me help tip the washer back, despite the drum not being secured with the shipping bolts. * Removed the washer's factory levelling legs and installed them on the pedestal instead of using the supplied pedestal levelling legs. * Told me the dryer and washer levelling legs had different threads when I asked that both units use matching legs for an even height. * Left unused pedestal levelling legs taped inside the dryer pedestal drawer. He seemed more concerned with taking photos and getting my signature than ensuring the installation was done correctly. I later found leftover parts and multiple unused screws. After several conversations with the company, they sent two different technicians the following Sunday. They completely removed and reinstalled both pedestals and properly levelled everything. When I asked about compensation for the damaged pedestal, time off work, cancelled plans, travel to a laundromat, and loss of use, I was told their claims process only covers direct physical damage and not inconvenience, lost time, travel expenses, or loss of use. To make matters worse, they didn't even refund the installation fee, despite being told during the rebooking process that I would at least receive that. I cannot recommend this installation service. If you need appliances installed, you're better off hiring your own qualified contractor.
