The truck had been to three different GM dealerships (no local ones) and not one could find our problem. It only overheated when towing. He literally had it for one full day and was able to diagnose and repair our truck when no one els could. If you need repairs done right by a real mechanic go to him, he is no dealership technician. P.S. The price was better than I expected it to be. Take your vehicle to him, if he's busy and you can wait you won't be disappointed. He is worth it. She called me back and told me she found a place that would have the tires there in 20 minutes. Let me start by saying I have a 2010 Toyota 4 Runner. Last year I took it to a local dealership…read morefor an oil change. When they handed the car back over to me, they noted that my front brake pads were getting dangerously thin and I should consider replacing them. They gave me a price of $395 dollars just to replace the two front brake pads. If I wanted to do all 4 it would cost $790 dollars plus another 120.00 to do a brake fluid flush.. so all together the dealership would have cost me $910 for all 4 brakes and a brake fluid flush. No way, so I took it to Mike at Brake Specialties. Dropped my vehicle off with Mike who called me later that day and told me that two of the brake pad's were still useable with maybe another 5 to 10 thousand miles left on them and the other 2 brake pads should be replaced now. I told him to just go ahead and replace all 4 brakes and I also wanted him to change my brake fluid. He called me later that day and said she was ready to go. Brake job was fantastic, no pulling to one side or the other, and she will stop on a dime now. As for cost, more than reasonable.. all 4 brakes and a brake fluid flush all for just under $498 bucks. Compare that to the dealerships charge of over $900 for the exact same job.. oh and by the way, the brake pads that Mike uses at Brake Specialties come with a lifetime warranty.. he said if I ever had to replace them again the cost would be 50 % of the original cost. Can't beat that.

They got to work diagnosing the problem and I realized that I had to have my alternator replaced. They worked up an estimate and called me to ask for approval. I needed the work done, so I authorized it. Thankfully they were able to find the part and get it replaced by the end of that day. It was a bit on the pricey side, but their service was good and fast. So it's worth looking them up if you need car repairs done.
