Interesting experience, but this brewery embodies the culture of a real brewery. They're "not open to the public except on Friday, but if you wander in, they'll pour you a beer." I LOVE IT! I was traveling for work and just yelped a local, close brewery, and I'm glad I did. The beer here is GREAT!!! I had the Full Boar, Wonderful! I had a glass of the Ginger Bread Belgian Ale, AMAZING! MY FAVORITE. And I tried the Hazy, solid good beer. I'm not an IPA fan, so stating the Hazy is good, is high praise from me. Definitely coming back here, thank you Kenzie and Kira for the service! Oh and the brewer dude with the great beard who was getting the Root Beer!

Went here recently on a friday evening, when they foodtrucks and live music. Its a spacious brewery, with indoor and outdoor seating . So plenty of place . They had 2 food trucks on the day I was there. I tried the 'Satay by the bay' which had some good vegan / vegetarian options. An interesting mix of beers on tap. They do half pours as well , but no flights. This place allows kids, so its family friendly . The bartenders were friendly and also let me taste a few before ordering.

Worked a team builder at Devils Canyon and didn't realize how spacious it was. There's a small area to park so come early if possible. People are very friendly and very helpful. There's a nice open area when you walk in and then another area in the back outside with more space with bars inside and out. A great venue to host anything. Looking forward to checking out the place during normal business hours.

My company hosted a holiday happy hour here, the event space is quite nice. Good selection of beers and drinks. There were a bunch of finger foods, only vegan option was some samosas which were yummy but we ran out of everything super quickly. Not sure if this is on the event space or the organizers but there was nowhere near enough food.

Came here for my 10-year high school reunion on a Friday night. It was so busy! There's so many indoor and outdoor spaces--there was an indoor holiday fair with small businesses, and outside had a lot of food trucks. Clientele included families, kids, young people, and old people. Some were playing games outside! Good beers, drinks, and food (from the food trucks.) Seems like a great community hub and space. Service is quick and kind.

This is a great place to relax on a Friday after work. I happen to come on a day when they are hosting the Whimsy Market. Lots of vendors selling crystals, incense, etc. I opted for wine this evening and it's just okay. I know, I know. I should have ordered a beer. The staff here are incredibly kind and the space is fairly large. Parking can be a drag.

Came here this past Friday to check out The Whimsy: A Midsummer Night's Market, an event encouraging fairy wings and costume, offering tarot readings on site, candles and items related to witchcraft and magic for sale, vendors like Fierce Siren Studios selling quirky jewelry, art, and accessories. Lots of booths in an outdoor courtyard with loads of tables and seating, as well as more vendors and crafts inside a second building. The main building had a bar with some very tantalizing beer offerings on the menu (a second bar was located in the outdoor courtyard area). I got All The Chocolate, which I really enjoyed. It had been quite some time since I last had beer... but I figured it was international beer day, plus this place had some great options, so why not. Had to go with some wine too, just a cab, not many options for red wine as this place is all about the beer. The four food trucks on site were more than sufficient in providing plenty of good eats to choose from, vietnamese, mexican, poke and seafood, as well as chicken dishes (the chicken sandwich and waffle fries from Respectable Bird were super tasty). The service at Devil's Canyon was outstanding too, all the employees were professional and helpful and put great effort into creating a positive experience for guests. They maintained the cleanliness of the brewery as well. And it was such a lovely and spacious setting, with live music happening inside the main building, the musicians on stage playing songs like Tennessee Whiskey and Tom Petty's Free Fallin, it was all quite therapeutic for me. I would certainly return to try more of the beers and of course for special events, as they seem to be well organized and executed here.

    Lots of food

We have been big fans of Devil's Canyon for a long time but never had the chance to visit because they are only open on Friday. Parking can be a bit of an issue depending on when you get there. We were greeted right away and walked into the large inside area where the bar is. There is a stage on one side and tables and couches in the area. There is also a large outdoor area where there are usually 2-3 food trucks. Lots of options to choose from. We ordered our beers (they have a good selection) and headed outside as we had our dogs. Well behaved kids are also allowed. Everyone seems to be having a good time and met a lot of people and their dogs. The restrooms are back towards where you come into the building. We love their Scotch Ale so had to buy a pack of that

One word of warning: arrive with an empty bladder and a working relationship with patience, because the restroom line moves like it is being reviewed by a committee. Das Bierhauz is located right next to the VTA and Caltrain station, which makes it a very practical stop before heading to a game at Levi's Stadium. There is shaded outdoor seating and indoor seating, but this place fills up fast. Do not show up late and expect the universe to hand you a table. The universe has other appointments. The beer selection is very good. We got there around 6 PM before the Austria vs. Jordan World Cup match, and the stouts were already sold out. That tells you two things: people know what they are doing here, and you may need to move with purpose. Order the huge 20 oz glass if you want to have fun. It is not subtle. It announces itself. Food-wise, the combination appetizer is a strong move for a group of three or four. It comes with hummus, crushed eggplant, olives, a cucumber-yogurt-style dip, and other Mediterranean support staff. For the main dish, I recommend the veal knockwurst with fries. It was simple, filling, and did its job without trying to explain itself. The ordering system is where things get a little loose. Seating is basically self-directed, which means the bold inherit the tables. The line to order can feel scattered, although the menu is clearly posted above the cashier. You order, pay, receive one of those coaster number things, then sit down and trust that civilization will continue. To their credit, the staff found us with the beer and food without incident. There were TVs everywhere showing Argentina vs. Algeria, and with the international crowd in the room, the energy was like getting electrocuted by friendly aliens experimenting on how to make adrenaline surges in the body lightning fast. Loud, lively, and just the right amount of chaotic. Overall, I would give Das Bierhauz a 4 out of 5. I would not want to be here when it is absolutely packed, mostly because the queue system could become chaotic like a school of fish in a class on how to properly get into an auto accident. That said, the staff were reliable, the food was good, the beer was strong, and the location is hard to beat before a game.

Great balanced combo of mushroom, sausage, mozzarella, and other toppings. I really liked the marinara-pesto sauce on the meatballs. Solid app. The Rudy's jalapeño burger was solid but not amazing. Despite not offering high chairs or kids meals, they have a ton of families because it's otherwise kid-friendly food in a kid-friendly environment. The food comes out super fast, and all the employees are really nice. They also quickly clear your table when they notice empty trays. My only gripe is with parking, and it's a huge problem. The restaurant is somewhat in the middle of nowhere so understandably people have to drive to get there. We have eaten at here only 4 times despite coming here at least twice as often as that because we cannot find parking. There are times we've been able to get a table but simply cannot find a spot to park and then had to leave. When the weather is nice, there can be a long wait for a table, and we've also had to leave once because our kids were super young and didn't have the patience. Other than the bar, there's nowhere to go to wait. There are employees in the lot kinda guiding traffic, but the issue is it's really a matter of luck. Someone who showed up way after you may find a spot sooner than you, and it sucks. Sometimes it gets gridlocked too because some parts of the lot are narrow and you can't pass a car waiting for a spot, or a car isn't considerate in pulling over and letting others by. I would love to come here more regularly, but it's such a hassle. We try every couple of months ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
