I came to Blue Oak for a birthday party and the space was so much bigger than it looked like outside! I love all the local art, large picnic tables, and the indoor and outdoor area. They have a wide variety of beers at really good prices too. I got a 10 ounce pour for around $7-8. I got a fruity sour and it was so easy to drink! There was even a food truck outside if you wanted to have delicious fresh barbecue. The space was welcome to folks with children as well. The service is really nice and even when the keg was empty, they quickly exchanged it for a new one which was great!

Came here for a friend's bday! Great spot, lots of seating. Also lots of seating outdoors! There's a food truck/popup on the weekends. The staff was super friendly and helpful with suggestions. Great beer selections, especially if you like sours. The flight was perfect for trying a little bit of everything. They also have good mocktail options!!

My husband and I love this place. Blue Oak has an awesome and creative selection of sour beers, and they're always doing something a little different, which we really appreciate. The vibe is super laid-back and welcoming. It's also very dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for us. We love being able to bring our dog along. The outdoor space is spacious and comfortable, making it a perfect spot to hang out with friends, relax, and enjoy a great beer. Overall, just a really chill spot that we keep coming back to.

Amazing brewing company with plenty of space for events or just relaxing with friends. There's always a great vendor of food available, live music that creates an awesome atmosphere, and an excellent selection of craft beers at very reasonable prices. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I had an absolute blast and will definitely be coming back!

Love this place, especially for Wednesday night trivia. The current host Bo does a really good job. Located off of industrial this tap room usually has a large selection of beers on tap especially sours. The staff are super friendly and the venue is great. There's a good amount of parking there's also a food trucked parked in the back as well. When walking in there are two rooms, a bar area and an arcade room. There's also a back patio area and a room that trivia is hosted in. Sometimes private events are also hosted here.

Hadn't been to Blue Oak in a while but were visiting friends so thought we would stop by. We were able to find a parking spot (not always easy) and walked in the back area. There was a lot more indoor and outdoor spaces to sit which was great as it is a popular place. Staff are always friendly and the brewery has a great selection of beers. I enjoy sours and they have several. Talked with many other people sitting there with their dogs and everyone was having a good time. Nice to see everyone happy.

solid brewery right off the 101! note the parking is a bit confusing as it's in an industrial building area so there are various small lots you can park nearby. there's a very unassuming entrance, and it opens up to a larger interior and covered outdoor area too! i enjoyed the fruit stripez sour and a crepe, there are rotating food trucks on different days. service was very standard. would go back!

If you're a fan of coffee stouts like me, the Inky and the Grain is made with Philz Coffee. Love the way this brewery is set up. Enjoyable way to spend a couple hours

We discovered Blue Oak Brewing when we were staying at a near by hotel. We are glad we did since we stopped by multiple times. It's a big spacious place. It's big inside and quite a few seats outside. They have a mini arcade room which was really nice. My toddler loved going in there and playing the pinball games they have. I am an IPA and sour beer person so this was a perfect brewery for me. I tried all of their sours and their hazy IPA's. All were really good. My favorite was their Deep Tropicalia, and also my husband's favorite. That was surprising since my husband doesn't like to drink but he really liked that one. We really liked that there's a food truck everyday. They are really good at keeping their website updated with their food truck list which was really nice to see. The 2 food trucks we tried while there were really good. We walked every time we went. For those driving, parking is limited. Overall, we are glad we ran into this place. We will be coming back when we are in the area.

I visited Blue Oak Brewing Company with a friend who's into beer, and the vibes were great! The interior was nice-looking, with blue walls, a tree branch handing over the live-edge epoxy bar, and string lights. We also loved that it was dog-friendly. The menu didn't have much aside from beer (expected), so I got the Wild Soul (Non-Alc). I wasn't sure I'd like this one, but it wasn't bad at all. I do wish it came in smaller pours because I ended up only finishing half. My friend really liked her beer, as well. We sat outside and ended up grabbing lunch from the food truck on premises. Overall, a chill place to hang out!

Going by this one item we headed off for lunch! Apparently a lot of others had the same idea. As this place was busy! We drove over, found it easy, parked in one of 3 of their last spots and got in line. Line of 6 moved like a flash. Friendly staff took our order. While we watched a man pull apart lovely looking meat in back. I couldn't stop at brisket tacos, I also ordered Mac and cheese and a peach cheesecake pie slice! My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach! You get two tacos, on the most amazing tasting, fluffy flour tortillas. The meat is piled high! I got full off the pile of meat before I got to my tacos. I'm not a big meat person, so when I say the brisket was out of this world I mean it. It had the perfect fat to meat ratio (which for me is not a lot of fat) to go box please! Desert to go, latter eaten and it was so good! My new go to BBQ place! Yummy yummy!

This latest experience was some of the worst brisket I've had in the Bay Area and would be rated 2 stars. The brisket was dry, chewy, and sliced in the wrong direction (with the grain instead of against the grain). I also tried the pork ribs - meh and the Dino ribs - tender but very fatty instead of juicy and seasoning seemed to be just salt - a lot of salt. The sides of brussels and kale slaw were also just fine. There was way too much vinegar on the kale slaw. There was live music but the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk much less think and we were sitting pretty far away. While I enjoy live music, it would be great if there were parts of the restaurant that was quieter for those looking to talk to their friends or who don't enjoy the specific band that evening. Bartender was a cool dude and staff in general are nice.

My agua de guayaba and my hubs' agua de tamarindo were absolutely to die for. You could absolutely taste the fresh fruit for each. Now for the best part. On Friday's they have a special: $5 fish tacos with tortillas made fresh and by hand... complete with all the fixings. The fish is hand battered, made to order and served piping hot, dressed with cabbage, pico de gallo, and a combination of mayo and chipotle aioli. The picture simply doesn't do it justice, folks. Hands down, the best fish tacos in the area. 100/10. The team aboard this truck are friendly, quick and serve every dish up with a smile. Truly elevating the unique experience. While I was only lucky enough to stop for fish tacos, I look forward to future trips to Los Carnalitos for a sampling of their many menu options, especially the fried banana for dessert!! There were five of us altogether, so it took a bit of time for our food to be prepared. Unfortunately, there is no seating available. As soon as our order was ready, I started eating my fish taco and I was pretty impressed! The fish was nicely fried and they were very generous with the condiments, including cabbage, pico de gallo and a slice of fresh avocado. They even provided slices of radishes and cucumbers as well as limes. It reminded me of the tacos from La Cocina de la Abuela, a brick and mortar in downtown Redwood City that closed in 2021. They had the most amazing fried shrimp and fish tacos and these were just as good! The aguachile was also amazing! The shrimp were surprisingly large and served with avocado, tomatoes, cucumbers and thinly sliced red onions. It's perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice! The concept of having Korean food cooked in a robotic food truck is interesting to me. Since the food was catered, unfortunately I was unable to see the robots cooking in action, but fortunately was able to taste the final products. I was able to try the Wagyu galbi (short ribs), dak galbi (marinated chicken), Seoul food bowl (stir-fried pork belly and shrimp), and japchae, served with their corn salad, kimchi, and white rice. The Wagyu galbi was very flavorful with a good amount of vegetables; though I enjoyed the inclusion of lotus root, the veggies seemed like borderline filler to skimp out on meat. The dak galbi was also flavorful though spicy, and again the inclusion of rice cakes seemed like filler. The pork belly and shrimp were delicious, and I liked that the pieces of pork belly I had didn't have an overpowering amount of fat. The japchae was pretty standard and was nice to balance out the meat. I enjoyed the corn salad because it added a creamy component to my meal. The kimchi got lost in the mixture of food in my bowl and the rice was cooked perfectly by the robot. Overall, I enjoyed the food prepared by OLHSO Truck. Unfortunately, since the food was catered and already prepared when I arrived, I cannot comment on the service or wait times provided by the staff. I would consider ordering food from the truck if I am craving Korean fusion type of food and am too lazy to dine in at a local Korean restaurant. If the food from the truck is a good representation of the restaurant in downtown San Mateo, I am more inclined to try the restaurant for a nice sit down dining experience.
