My father has been a patient of Dr. Hart's for over 20 years. When I moved to PA and had a dental emergency of course I went to Dr. Hart as a patient as well. Kelly immediately fit me into his schedule. I ended up having oral surgery and even through the referral process, Kelly checked on me several times over the weekend and got me into a great oral surgeon in Dr. Silverstein. I'm beyond thankful for the care they give to my 86 year old father and now me and other members of our family. I'm thrilled I finally have a wonderful dentist with a phenomenal office staff. Horrible. Lied about not being able to offer gas for my daughter to have her cavity filled during COVID (I found another dentist who said there was 0bteason not to and did 2 weeks later) and obviously the reason was he was over booked and trying to rush as many patients through that he could see in the shortest amount of time. Without gas, my day was quite anxious but went thru the novacaine needle ok but when Dr Rose was ready to have her drilling begin, she said she wasn't numb. Annoyed, he tried to keep drilling but when she said she a could still feel the pain, he came back with another needle, clearly annoyed with her and numbed her up so badly she couldn't feel her eye and wasn't able to eat for way longer than the usual novacaine needle. Excellent choice for dental care. This practice- Dr. Rose in particular- came highly recommended by my dentist in our previous PA city. Hygienist and Dr. Rose were thorough, careful and considerate in addressing my dental needs. Scheduling and other office functions well handled. OK, I normally write about food, but I guess teeth are a related subject, aren't they? Unless I want to just eat soup, I need my choppers. First time here, no nonsense, no upsell, honest, efficient, friendly, helpful, wow, everything you could ask for. Had X-rays, teeth cleaning and consult. Two years ago Dr. Hart put an inlay on a lower left side tooth and at my last check up, the tooth had a cavity. Another tooth on my lower right also had a cavity. A technician took x-rays and scheduled me to go back to have the two cavities filled. Two days later the inlay fell out and it revealed total rot and decay. This after only 2 years, which means that the inlay hadn't been positioned and adjusted correctly. It also turned out that while my two cavities were at the bottom, the technician took x-rays for the top teeth. How sloppy can you be? I changed dentist and wrote a review about Dr. Hart on his website. The review has been suppressed and is nowhere to be found. So this one is on Yelp. read more

My Complaint is in regards to unnecessary dental work, and a fraudulent insurance claim. The referred PA code is ; § 33.212. Misleading, deceptive, untrue or fraudulent representations. As used in section 4.1(a)(2) of the act (63 P. S. § 123.1(a)(2)), the phrase ''misleading, deceptive, untrue or fraudulent representations'' includes the following conduct by dentists, dental hygienists and expanded function dental assistants: (2) Misrepresenting or concealing a material fact in obtaining payment for dental services. I went to Devon Dental associates as I had a cracked tooth (#15) It was not savable according to the Dentist. Upon entering the office the first time I was told I had a great dental plan. I asked to have the tooth removed, to which I was told that it would be more expensive to do this. I now understand that this is not the case, and removal is considerably less. I chose the crown as this was less according to the dentist. At no point was I told the actual dollar amount I would have to pay, I remarked that cost was important and that I did not want the tooth. The day I had the crown fitted I left the office and stopped by reception. They could not tell me the actual amount that I would have to pay, they did inform me that it was probably $400. I was shocked, and my immediate response was "Is this made of Gold?" to which the response was, "Yes, it's actually Gold & Platinum" I left without paying the $400 as I knew there was something wrong. I received a letter from my insurance company (Metlife) stating that the Dentist had submitted a claim for a tooth that was not covered by my plan. I have contacted the Dentist who have said that they contacted my insurance company the first day I came to them, they also said they checked my coverage. They also state that they discussed costs with me. This never happened, the only time cost was mentioned was unspecific value about pulling a tooth being much more expensive than a crown & when I left the last time and they said my payment could be $400.00. The Dentist is clearly trying to defraud the insurance company by submitting costs for a crown that was not covered, and falsifying the fact that I requested to have a tooth pulled. The facts are very clear, my insurance company were defrauded for financial gain. I am requesting that this Dentist be prosecuted for Insurance fraud. read more

I've been going to Dr. Rose for many years, and I have to say, If we moved out of the area, I'd come back for dental work. He does great work (which I've had confirmed by desists in other areas I've had to go to) is fast, fair and incredibly friendly (which extends to the whole staff, BTW). Bends over backwards to not hurt you, and stands behind everything he does. You really couldn't ask for more from a dentist and I unreservedly recommend him and Devon Dental. read more

Best dentist and staff I've seen in years. I chipped my front tooth at 9pm one night, I called Devon Dental immediately. They called me back the very next morning at 7:30am to set up an appointment for 5:10pm that afternoon. Less than 24 hours later, my tooth looked great! I booked my appointment with Polly who was very sweet and very accommodating. I came from Philadelphia because Wayne was conveniently located between where I live and work. Upon entering the office I was immediately greeted by the receptionist, Dawn, who was very pleasant and made me feel very welcomed. She made me laugh, which definitely lessened my anxiety about seeing a dentist. The office décor was beautiful and clean. I received an exam and cleaning. Dr. Rose was very nice and informative. He was definitely interested not just with my teeth but my overall health. The hygienist was gentile and thorough, my teeth felt great after she finished. I give Devon Dental Associates high marks for accommodating my schedule, their honesty, quality of care, and the staff and Dr. Rose's pleasant personalities. The front desk is top notch and so are the Hygientist and assistants. I swear these people are like family to me!
