After my mother passed away, her house had to be sold. Devon handled the closing, and my initial impression was that the office's staff conducted the process superbly. At least I thought Devon had. As it turned out, though I was given a sheaf of documents relative to the home sale, Devon neglected to give me a copy of the Warranty Deed, a document I will need further on in the Probate process. Devon failed to notify us at closing that we were responsible for the summer taxes, which resulted in us paying the taxes late and having to pay a penalty. We have closed on 5 houses prior to this in our lifetime and the title company always held the money in escrow For tax payments, The also failed to send the signed copy of the PRE affidavit for our homestead exemption claim. Of course when we confronted Devon with this information, they took no responsibility for any of it, and never apologized. read more

The salesperson was and is friendly and knowledgable but if you get someone named Tara......ask for someone else. She is as unprofessional as they come. She covers up mistakes with lies and will get involved in things she has no business being involed. This stuff causes problems and delays. Again avoid her like the plague........ read more
