Came for dinner and live music on Friday.. The ambiance is nice and homey. The guy singing did really good too. I'd hear him sing again. We got the goat cheese for appetizer- it was okay. I got the honey bourbon salmon- it was spicy with some kind of pepper on it. We also got the Brussels sprouts and they were cold and flavorless. ( my suggestion would be to toss them with the hot honey and roasted them) We got the pick two duo with brisket and ribs and he said they were okay. The beer mac n cheese was good but the coleslaw was dry. The best part of the whole meal was the bread pudding. It was AMAZING. Parking was easy and had a lot of room. read more

They do a nice job of them: meat is tender, falls off the bone, and has a nice smoke flavor. The sides were average to mediocre. This is the place that people come to from all over the region. Incredible decorating and attention to detail inside.....coupled with amazing drink selection and a great kitchen. The primary attraction is their superb bloody Mary's! But the place is regularly packed, and the prices are modest. Three times in a row now our experience has been pretty bad. The kitchen is easily overwhelmed, even in the morning when it's just the Kozy open. Half the waitresses are inattentive, only see them at your table to take your order then deliver it later. Bar is always slow for drinks, waited over 20 min for a draft beer while the bartender was either on her phone are talking to other staff. Food is mediocre and not worth the wait and slow service. Ambiance is always good, but slow and subpar service is not worth returning. read more

2nd time at dew drop. This is such a fun place. The food is great. The burnt end mustard that comes with the pretzels is AMAZING!! I want to buy bottles of it for home. The sweet Thai chili sauce for the wings is so good. The perfect blend of sweet and spice and I love that they hand bread the boneless wings. The fried green beans are delish. The pulled pork potato skins- fab!! I ordered the shrimp po'boy today- unimpressed honestly. The fried shrimp were good, but they only put 5 on the hoagie roll and the Cole slaw was nothing to write home about. My husband ordered the Cuban and it was a great Cuban. The bread was pressed well, the good amount of pork, ham, cheese, pickles, mustard- a classic delicious Cuban and he was really happy. The outdoor area is so fun. Tables, outdoor couches, yard games, etc. a great place to hang with friends, can bring the kids. Downside...if they have a wedding they don't always have the outdoor bar open. It makes it very inconvenient to be hanging out outside. We do love this place and enjoy spending a nice day on their patio area with friends. read more

Terrible service & hit/miss on description & execution of food in bar area followed by owner/manager overriding waitress promise to discount messed up order. 2 restaurants sharing the name & building -1 indoor/outdoor with garage door open BAR -1 weekend brunch, lunch & sometime diner restaurant (what my mom & her friend thought it would be) Sunday Labor Day weekend- no answer on their phone number... We depended on yelp & answering machine hours & they were referring to bar only. Bar Arrived & we had to find our own table & even wipe rings of water off of it. Table had a menu on it. People next to us were asked if they were ready for the bill & they had to tell her that they hadn't gotten their food yet. We were ignored. Finally figured out only 2 waitresses working the area & the rest of the girls/women worked other areas, food runners or bussers. From 6-7:30 an hour & a half!!! Blonde waitress has blinders on... After 15+ minute I was able to get brunette waitress attention. 1 pulled pork, 1 burger w/ fries & a pork steak w/ grilled zucchini & squash & then waited 30+ minutes for food. Pulled pork was actually chopped including skin & fat. Burger was good with lettuce & tomatoes pickles on side... Shoestring fries were the disappointment I got a chopped pork sandwich (when I ordered a pork steak) from the food runner & sent it back. Waitress came out to question & I told her what I ordered. She came back saying they were out of pork steak. Fine... took the chopped pork sandwich & waitress said she would discount. However, I asked for silverware & refill. She quickly brought 1 set of silverware, but others at the table wanted silverware & she quickly got that. No refill & no more service for the visit. Making it worse... With garage door open, flies harassed us during eating. While that happened- 8 people patiently waited for a table & even helped the busser with clearing the tables. However after ordering, when the waitress came back & informed them fish tacos & something else were out... they got up & left because they "wasted 30 minutes without most getting even drinks". I finally get waitress attention for our bill. Over the next few minutes owner/manager comes in & takes over. I think, well at least I'll get my bill... rung up with wrong sandwiches. Owner/manager corrects with no apologies or promised discounts... I pay my $22 for $18+ bill for 2 sandwiches & a tea (even though 1 was a mistake... cheap tip, I know). Mom's friend pays for her's, but only tips $1 because she saw her 1 time for drinks (no refill). This place is done to us unless they answer the phone to tell us the restaurant side is open. We stumbled on this place while attempting to view the eclipse. Traffic forced us to stop off in Bloomsdale and we viewed the eclipse at a park just up the road from the Dew Drop. It looked packed but we decided to head back that way after the eclipse to have some drinks and wait out the traffic. I honestly don't know how such a small town ended up with such a fun establishment, but the Dew Drop was an amazing place. It apparently is 3 venues in one - a small restaurant called the Kozy, a Bar & Grill called the Dew Drop, and an indoor/outdoor event space downstairs called the Mill Room. All appear to share the same kitchen (same/similar menus) and some parts of the facility (restrooms, patio, etc.) We didn't check out the Kozy but we tried the Dew Drop bar and the Mill Room. The bar has coin-operated pool tables and some arcade games, plenty of seating, and a great friendly vibe. Service was very good, especially with as stressed as the staff was. Drinks were good and they had an impressive beer and bourbon selection. Specialty drinks were tasty. After a couple of drinks, we wandered outside/downstairs to find a huge enclosed outdoor space with yard games like corn hole & washers and a live band. The area had both sun and shade tables depending on your preference. Same drinks and food available downstairs. From the Mill room, we decided to order some food. This is where the Dew Drop lost me a little. The menu seemed interesting but the food was not well composed. We ordered BBQ nachos and the cheese sauce tasted canned, the bbq sauce was too thickly applied and was cold, and the toppings were sparse. Not great and we didn't finish them, even though we were hungry. Fried green beans were bland and cold, but the horseradish sauce served with them made up for it a bit. Fried mushrooms were really good but they were served with sides of what seemed to be straight-from-the -bottle store bought ranch. Fresh, homemade sauces would have made a really big difference. I tried the mushrooms with the horseradish sauce and that was a great combo, there unfortunately wasn't enough to use for both the green beans and the mushrooms. We ordered bone-in buffalo wings, which weren't on the menu. These were fine, not great, nothing bad. I'm giving 4 stars just for the surprise and fun of the place, and the good quality drinks. Really well done place and clearly a fantastic center of social life in Bloomsdale. The food we had was just not very good and brought down the stars just a bit. read more

We used Dew Drop for our wedding on 4/27/24 and I couldn't recommend them enough! Working with Brigitte was an absolute breeze. She offered great suggestions and had great communication with me. I was never worried about anything for the day thanks to her. Kyle showed up Friday before to check everything out and drop off some items. And then Saturday, he arrived on time with some fantastic food! All of my guests were raving about how it was some of the best wedding food they've had! We ordered way too much food..but luckily we had leftovers of great food. Everything was hot, fresh, and prepared perfectly. I've had several people reach out telling me they can't wait to visit the actual restaurant now since they had never been before. Brigitte and Kyle made a very stressful day the complete opposite! My wife and I have been in the Mill Room many times over the yrs as guests and had not have a reason to engage with Brigitte Buff, their event manager. This would be our first. We had several special requests that began with the fact that my parents are both elderly and require wheelchair access, they both have certain needs with menu items and we were planning on 24 people for only four hours. Brigitte and her team, including our bartender, didn't fail our 99 year birthday party for dad. The Dew Drop Inn is the perfect destination if you're looking for something fun to do outside of the typical "local" STL venues. I had a large group traveling on a party bus and we wanted something with a great outdoor atmosphere. I called the Dew Drop and Brigitte graciously held an outdoor patio for my group of 30 and we couldn't have had a better time. They have great food and drinks, along with outdoor games and a fire pit. If you looking for something different, I highly recommend the Dew Drop Inn. read more

Fine and dandy if you want a beer and a snack, but don't bother if you want a sit-down meal and leave satisfied. Food was cold upon arrival, I had the pork steak special, the pork steak was tough as nails, fries were flavorless and rubbery, and the side of baked beans nothing to brag about. The kitchen really needs to put some seasoning to use. We drove 40 miles to try this place out and I honestly feel like I wasted gas. Local inn/restaurant/bar in the heart of Bloomsdale, Missouri- tons of people come out especially to watch sports games in a shared location! We were there for a surprise party for a colleague and we had about 30 people occupying the "back" area of the restaurant! Food is good, service is great. They came around often to ask if we were happy/needed more. Fun atmosphere- I hear it really fills up over the weekend. There's also an outdoor patio with lots of games to play with as well. Everyone is very nice easy going. The event coordinator is easy to get ahold of by text and some plans are easier for everyone to do over the phone of in person. She still does the best she can and gives you all the information you need. The event I hosted outside on one of the patios. It was very hot out but they were all nice and brought out fans when we asked if they had any. The only problem I had was the little bit of miscommunication between everyone that we needed a severe for our event. But they got on it and we had someone the whole time at point we had 3 people helping. The food was good everyone loved the boneless wings we had mild, house Whiskey Sauce, and bbq. Food was very slow to come to the table, meals were missing, along with several sides. I ordered a special of the day. Pork loin with gravy, and I chose roasted brussel sprouts with bacon(only highlight of the meal), and mac-n-cheese(recommended by staff). We stopped by after seeing motorcycles outside and thought it looked like a pretty cool bar. We were right! It's very nice, inside and out. The food was really good; we had pulled pork nachos and dirty fries with white chili (which is made with pork). The beer was really cold and the mixed drinks were good. Prices were great!! Second visit... Went from 5 stars to 1 star. We came in, sat down immediately, so you wouldn't think wait times would be bad...right? Wrong. Took 15 minutes to get drinks and ordered in the mean time. We ordered the brisket nachos appetizer and pulled pork tacos and a burger for our meals. It took well over an hour for the nachos to come out and they are pulled pork, not brisket. We told our waitress about the mix up in meat, she apologized, and told us she would let the kitchen know. She came back and said owner (who apparently brought the nachos to us) told the waitress it was "for sure brisket". Actually, pretty sure it's not. And we are still waiting for our meals.... My bride and I tried the Dew Drop Inn in Bloomsdale MO. We were pleasantly greeted and sat right away. The menu and Bourbon varieties were extensive. The food is fine to good, the service is the same, the interior is the same - when a sauce that "isn't too sweet" was requested, something akin to straight corn syrup was served. This is a good place to go, it's just a matter of taste (if one likes beer, keep going; if one likes whiskey, get a room and walk). Be forewarned: ribs are baby back ribs and not proper barbecued ribs. Many like the crunchy meatiness of these things. If you don't, order something else or keep driving. read more
