Dewey & Son's Review I don't like leaving negative reviews and really wanted to leave a positive one. I'm hoping I might be able to update this review with something positive. But this is what has been going on: I've had a gush of water coming out of bathtub for over 6 weeks. Dewey and sons started the job almost 6 weeks ago but never finished, saying they will finish soon. I've been calling once to twice a week since then and have spoke with someone several times. I've also called a few times and left messages for nobody to call back. I keep getting the run around. These have been my responses: *They were busy last week with other people calling for services and they haven't had an opportunity to call back or come back to my place. *The plumber was out and would return the following day, *They have been looking for a part for over 5 weeks when I don't even want another part, I've asked for 2 bathtubs replaced and a sink that water won't come out of. *They will start on my tub and kitchen faucet ASAP *They are having a meeting, *They will call me back before the day ends, *I am important to them. (Not once have they returned my call, and quite frankly, I do not feel important to them.) Plus my kitchen sink has had nothing more than light drips coming out for over 3 weeks. For over 5 weeks, as Dewey & Sons instructed me to do, I've been having to turn bathtub on and with pliers with a thick stream continuing to run out. Plus I've been having to wash dishes in bathroom sink for about 3.5 weeks. While waiting for Dewey & Son's to finish what they started, my water bill has jumped from $46.00 to $250.00. The reason I haven't went to another plumber is they have already started the job and my bill should be coming In soon. I'm beyond frustrated with all of this. They installed new garbage disposal and kitchen faucet. Same day service. I wasn't planning on new faucet so they removed old garbage disposal and installed new one while we went to Lowe's for a faucet. They were done with disposal before we got back and waited in their truck for us. Very personable and professional job at a reasonable price. I will always use them for all our plumbing needs! read more

Dewey plumbers installed a new kitchen faucet today. While these are great plumbers, my complaint is tracking muddy dirt in my living room & kitchen. It's raining today & I have a door mat to wipe feet on but it wasn't used. Consequently, I had to spend 35 minutes cleaning my wood floors & rubber kitchen mats when they left. It's the maid's day off so I had to mop it; although I have degenerative disc disease & I'm sick with a cold feeling terrible today! That equates to 3 stars instead of 5. If I had known they were going to go in & out the entire time, I would've used drop cloths for them to walk on. I highly recommend that you use drop cloths on your floors when they come. They should bring their own!! Problem is they have no consideration for whom has to clean up after them...ugh! I should send them an invoice for cleaning up after them! $120.00 read more

The plumber was very un-hospitable with my father and made him feel a bit prejudice, however the person who I'm assuming is the son was really nice to my dad. The plumber needs to work on his attitude! read more

Tore up our jetted tub to "fix" it and never came back. Wouldn't return calls. Thankfully we were able to find someone reliable.

We bought an older house in 1992, and not unexpectedly, needed plumbing services soon after. Dewey and Sons has been our go-to plumber almost from the beginning. Over the years we have found their service, expertise and pricing to be exceptional -- we have never been unsatisfied or disappointed. Just last week, on a Sunday, our water heater started popping and smoking. I shut off the power from the circuit breaker box, and called Dewey and Sons at about 7:30 a.m. By 11:30 that same morning, we had a new water heater installed! Our area had just experienced a severe cold spell, and I know that all the plumbers were busy rectifying frozen pipes, but Dewey and Sons got us taken care of much more quickly than I dared hope. A special thank you to their plumber, Randy. He was friendly and quick, even on a Sunday morning. I highly recommend Dewey and Sons for all of your plumbing needs. read more

This was my worst experience ever with a company. Not only was the job not done the plumber they sent lied about fixing the job. Did not keep the word of the office staff when appointment was made. I will never use these people again read more
