I have been a patient of doctor Janne Dewing for many years. Each time I see her, she is friendly, outgoing, compassionate, and a consummate medical professional. Additionally, the doctor is very competent in her well-balanced knowledge of medical science. Recently, after seeing my cardiologist, she saw me for my annual medical examination. During that time, she realized my blood numbers were off, and made proper medication adjustments. It was obvious that she was more in tune to my my cardiovascular health than my cardiologist. I trust Dr. Dewing because I know she will always make decisions that are best for my health, without requiring me to have unnecessary tests or procedures. I switched my PCP to Dr. Dewing in November of last year, and I wish I'd switched years ago. The level of care I've already received is far superior to my experience with previous primary care providers. I came in complaining of pain in my foot (after my previous doctor took an xray and said nothing was wrong). Dr. Dewing believed me, and gave me a referral to a podiatrist who discovered I indeed had a fracture. She also inquired about and addressed a few other health concerns I've been facing, and issued the appropriate referrals and/or RXs. Today she called to followed up some lab results, and I was astounded as this was the first time in YEARS that I've had a doctor care enough to check in with lab/MRI results. Her office manager is also amazingly responsive, competent and knowledgeable. I'm so pleasantly surprised and grateful to be under Dr. Dewing's care, and I highly recommend her. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Dewing. She is amazingly knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. What I like about her practice is that she looks for alternative methods as well. She has improved my health and well being for several years and treats my family members also. Even my 90 year old mother! As I approach my senior years she has been with me every step of the way making sure that I am well. She pinpointed an allergy that has beleaguered me my entire life! I have been a patient of Dr. Dewing's for several years. She is brilliant, kind, and understanding, takes her time to listen, and offers suggestions and follow-ups with whatever I have going on. No one is ever rushed. She also cared for my 98-year-old Dad when he came to live with me. He's not exactly easy, but she was able to relate to him, and he even paid attention to what she told him! Dr. Dewing a nice women and professional, however the staff and the phone system needs work. Every time we've called during office hours, we receive an exchange service. The practice feels cold. You wait in a waiting room for at least 20 minutes. When we asked if we really needed a follow up appointment, the staff was defensive and kept insisting on "policy" and "malpractice lawsuits". Very rude and we felt uncomfortable. We called and asked to speak with the doctor, but received no call back. We will not be going back to this Doctor's office. read more

I had such high hopes as Dr Dewing was recommended by so many, however my experience was not the same unfortunately. She was not very empathetic and distant during all of my visits and although I just went for an annual checkup, she prescribed harsh medicines for migraines which I told her I was uncomfortable with. I am never able to reach anybody by phone and I don't get a call back. My insurance company and CVS have not been able to get a call back either so I am not able to get my prescription filled I urgently need. Time to look for another doctor unfortunately. read more

Dr. Dewing has been my doctor for quite awhile she takes the time to listen. I have never felt rushed. She caught a situation that another dr failed to take the time to read. She understands all of my medical issues and is diligent in trying to hone in on what works for me. The front office is kind and efficient and seems to know every patient by sight, that is very unusual. I have never waited long to see the dr and my visit with the dr isn't over till all my questions have been answered. read more

Dr. Dewing is nice enough but her practice is run so poorly that I will not go back. I went for my physical and was sent for several tests (blood, mammography etc). I did not hear back with the results. When I finally called back almost two months later, I was told that I should come in to get the results. When scheduling the appointment I asked whether they were going to charge me for it and was assured that it was still part of the physical. When I arrived in the practice, I was again assured that I was not going to be charged since it was just about the results. Turned out the results were all fine - it took maybe 5 minutes. Great, after not calling me, then making me show up in person, I had become a bit nervous. On the way out, I was told again that there was no bill. Two weeks later I hear from my insurance that they had been charged and would pay $32 or so and that I had to pay the remaining $102. I called and was told that this was the charge whenever you see the doctor, no exception, no matter what. When I pointed out that they had told me three times that there was not going to be charge I was told that I must have misunderstood ... It took another three months for them to send me the invoice. To top it all off, when I went in to pick up my records, they included some other persons records in the file as well. Terrible experience. read more

My first visit with Dr. Dewing was odd. She was (like another reviewer mentioned) cold and distant. No bedside manner. I went and got blood work done (worst lab ever)! Made appt to go over blood work, etc. Came back into the office and handed over my new insurance card. Witnessed the receptionist ask Dr. Dewing if it was okay. I saw Dr. Dewing look down at the card, over at me and shake her head no. The receptionist then came back and apologized that the Dr. wouldn't accept my new insurance. Not a big deal, but I've had this happen at another Doctor's office and the Doctor herself came out and apologized that they didn't accept it, and went ahead and gave me my lab results. This Doctor is so unprofessional with zero personality or bedside manner. I don't understand how any normal person would be comfortable with a doctor treating them so coldly. I hate seeing Doctors that lack passion or COMPASSION! Glad she's no longer my doctor! read more

Dr Dewing saved my life. My Doctor of 20 years bailed on his patients so Dr. Dewing was recommended to me. She detected a small nodule on my prostrate and immediately sent me to a Urologist. Tests came out positive and I am about to have my prostrate removed. Dr Dewing was extremely professional, pleasant and thorough. Her staff has been great. It turns out I have had this cancer for at least 5 years but PSA was low and nodule was small. My Urologist confirmed that Dr. Dewing must be an excellent doctor to be able to detect the nodule. read more
