Where things were a bit less wonderful were, from my point of view, the challenges with communication. There were a number of these and the last one is the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. A week after the utility company gave the final okay, there has been zero contact from Banner. Not a "how are things going?" nor a "thanks for working with us" or even an attempt to sell us on their maintenance plan. :) Today, the final payment request arrived, from a no reply email no less. Maybe I asked too many questions or it was the fact that I had an issue with the payment schedule not being made clear?

As an added bonus, He never put the job up for final inspection with the inspector claiming that a final inspection was not required. When it was finally inspected at my insistance, numerous code violations were found, requiring a return visit for corrections. He also had to send a man out to fix some work when some new plugs I had them add in the shop "suddenly" stopped working because a wire nut popped loose in the junction box. Lawrence at Kingdom Electric arrived the next morning and quickly diagnosed the problem and had it all fixed in short order. He glanced out our kitchen window and noticed Christmas lights on the porch and asked if there was a plug-in outlet outside on the porch. There was and the recent rain was dripping down the cord and setting off the GFCI, just like it is supposed to do. Lawrence wrapped all the exposed plug connections outside to avoid further problems. I so appreciated his quick response to a household without all kitchen power for Christmas. It took longer than I had liked to get a response, but I did hear back from them. I was told to call the office or send an email; so, I emailed them a short description of the work with a picture. The entire process of getting an estimate took 2 business days. I requested an estimate via Yelp Sunday afternoon and received their bid Tuesday afternoon. I decided not to go with Bode's Electric because their estimate was on the higher side among the several estimates I received. In fact, their estimate along with a few others were significantly higher than a couple of bids from other companies in town (more than double). Note: Although they are listed as different companies, Bode's and West Mechanical appear to be the same company.
