During the initial assessment, Mike spent a good amount of time discussing options with us, and their pricing seemed fair and good value for the service. While the installation appeared to meet code requirements, immediately after the work completion we noticed that the "relief valve discharge pipe" was positioned directly above a drywall surface--creating an obvious risk should any discharge occur (picture attached). Despite my repeated and reasonable requests for clarification on liability and suggestions to reposition or extend the pipe to mitigate potential damage, I received dismissive replies. The company refused to adjust the work without charging additional fees. Even after I raised concerns about the risk of future property damage, they stated the matter was "closed" and asked me not to contact them again. I had hoped for a cooperative and safety-conscious resolution. Unfortunately, Impact Plumbing did not take ownership of the concern or prioritize customer satisfaction. I would caution other clients to be very clear up front and not assume post-installation support will be available. What really impressed me was his response during the recent flooding in Skykomish. On his own time, Shane came back out to check on things. He lifted our generator to keep it from being submerged or swept away. While there, he noticed our propane tanks had broken loose and were floating in the floodwater. He went into chest-deep, freezing water to retrieve them and secure them to nearby trees so they wouldn't be lost. That kind of dedication is rare. When asked if Brian had my number to call me directly in the event of tardiness, Tim said things did not always go as planned, and that the noon appointment should have been a range rather than a fixed point. When I suggested that things were not going according to established procedure, Tim got angry and canceled the appointment. I would not recommend this firm on the basis of this interaction.
