Being a 56 year old female, I felt like I had everything working against me, my metabolism had slowed, I have been in the throws of menopause for at least six years and I have a high stress position as a business owner. Since about the Pandemic and likely due to the Pandemic, I easily had gained at least 35 pounds, so I set my goal to lose that amount in the Program. This week I will end my 20 week program and I am thrilled that I am quite close if not right on target to achieve my goal. It was not easy by any means, but the coaching staff helped me along the way with extremely helpful suggestions. Initially I thought I would not need or benefit from my weekly coaching session but boy was I WRONG! The staff in Littleton is comprised of very positive, friendly, non-judgmental and well-informed individuals that helped to keep me motivated and on-track. Together we celebrated each week of weight loss and I began to look forward to my weigh-ins... even earning a gold star! This made me chuckle the first couple of weeks but then the psychological effect was impactful. I have already recently sat down with a coach to begin re-introducing foods I've been missing out on but within reason! Portion control, reducing my sugary fruits, nuts, alcohol consumption and eliminating carbs like potato, rice, pasta and getting a controlled regimen of protein and veggies along with the Products are the key to this program. I was told directly by the medical provider that weekly check‑ins were not required and that I could delay the diet until the medication effects increased. Follow‑up appointment: A few weeks later, the medical provider again confirmed that weekly visits were not required and that I could begin the diet when comfortable. The guidance was consistent, and I left with my next prescription. Where things changed: When I later called to schedule my next appointment, I was transferred to the operations manager. The tone was unexpectedly aggressive, and I was interrupted repeatedly while trying to explain what the medical providers had told me. I was informed that I was not following the program, that frequent visits were required, and that I could not continue receiving prescriptions unless I agreed to come in more frequently. I was also told the medical providers had been "spoken to," which directly contradicted the guidance I had received at both appointments. I was not allowed to schedule my next visit until I agreed to the new requirements. More inconsistency: At the following appointment, the medical provider acknowledged the conversation but told me that coming in "whenever I could" was fine. This conflicted with what the operations manager had insisted on. Weekly visits cost $140 each, and this requirement had never been communicated by the medical providers. Why I left: The shift from supportive medical guidance to business‑driven pressure felt like a bait‑and‑switch. The expectations changed only after I began seeing results, and the new requirements were tied to receiving prescriptions. What I'm doing now: I switched to an online provider, where the process has been simple, respectful, and free of unexpected conditions. I check in weekly with my weight and monthly for prescriptions, and the experience has been smooth. My recommendation: Based on my experience, I would stay away. Look at online providers or contact your primary.
