He was on his phone sitting down, and when I asked for help he told me what was on the shelf was what was on the shelf, didn't even make an effort to help. I went to your ACE on three different occasions to get a key cut, that said I have spent over a thousand dollars at your store this year alone. On the third attempt to get a key cut the man told me the regular key guy was on lunch and he couldn't cut the key after fumbling trough books and the key stock explained it was my third trip to your store to get the key cut and I was going to leave a review explaining the poor service I received and I would like his name, he wouldn't give me his name, I insisted I wanted his name for the review, he then said my name is "Bill". on my way out I asked the girl at the register if the guy at the key counters name was Bill and she said no it's "Mike" said he lied to me and said his name was BILL, she shook her head and said his name is Mike. I hope the owner gets to see this review. As a customer, I can go anywhere, I can get a key cut at Walmart or many other places. I chose to give you my business, and your employee was horrible and lied to me, trying to cover his piss poor work ethic. He should be fired. read more

We have shopped this store that seems to have everything at reasonable pricing several times. We are alway greeted by every employee in the respectful and courteous manner. We really want to brag on their wonderful employee, a beautiful grey (short hair) haired lady that always seem to work the front of the store. She has always gone out of her way to show us and explain (last two time Yeti Coolers) the product we came in looking for. I hope the owners of this store will recognize her and her wonderful personality and how she handles their customers. Can not recommend her and this store enough! read more

Always so nice and helpful at this location . Whatever your doing different don't change it. Customer service is outstanding , key making , cleaning supplies , and foil and little snacks etc. Some stuff a little higher then most places but your paying for better product. read more

The place is schizophrenic! I was in there Sunday morning, and a grumpy old guy selling me $1.50 of simple hardware - likely means I'll never go back - I'll take the $150 a month I spend there and go somewhere these people do not own! But that is not the whole story - I've had a couple of younger guys literally bust their hump to help me in the last 6-7 weeks, and make things right! Also young girls there recently hired- they need to be better trained than just OJT, learning as things happen. I can take the higher prices - I just CANNOT take the "attitude" of 1/2 of "the team" there! read more

I've had only wonderful experiences at this store. They have most everything I need, and as an Ace Rewards member (free membership) they deliver for free! That's huge bc Home Depot and Lowes charge $75 for most things. The staff are all super helpful and kind, and it's nice to support a smaller local business. Thank you. read more

We've been going to the ACE store at St. Joe Plaza for many years. However, they have been going steadily down hill and are now pretty terrible. They have a skimpy selection, most items are over priced and the customer service is very bad. They ignore customers, never have carts.. And are constantly gossiping about rude things while they deliberately ignore paying customers. Beware if you provide them with your contact information, they sell it to marketers. I've received over 1000 spam mails after purchasing a grill from them last year. They're also not very dog friendly and overcharged us several times. We are never going back to this location again. read more

Very nice mom and Pop hometown local store staff always walks up to you and ask you do you need any help did you find everything you're looking for not like Lowe's or Home Depot where the staff sees you coming out of the corner of their eye and walk away in the opposite direction. dropped off some old screens to be reworked, talked me into new frames which I was fine with, just picked them up and the screen is not tight at all, looks as though they been hanging for years, the original ones were 16 years old and were much better then what I received back, should of just kept the old ones and saved 235.00 read more

Five minute shopping experience turns into a half an hour fiasco because no one in that store seems to know how to locate any of their inventory. If youre having a sale in the month of May maybe you should know where those sale items are. No one seems to know their head from their ass in that store anytime I've gone in there. I was in line to get in the store was told one out one in. Someone left so I went to go in and the cashier barked at me wait till I tell you. I baked out and the guy behind me got mad and left. the cashier wanted to control Another person came out and she let two in. When I get to the register to pay there were still people outside waiting and the customer in front of me had completed her purchase and was shooting the breeze with the cashier. Store needs consistency and management. I go there to save time!!! read more

Just leaving and will never return to this location again. The lady behind the register was very nice but the manager was a different story. We asked her if I could return something from their Flagler location and she had such an attitude that I couldn't believe she was the manager. Not surprised to see this location with only 2 stars. The employees here are wonderful. Very helpful and deserve five stars. But the woman manager there deserves no stars. She is not just unfriendly, she is rude, unwilling to help and when I overheard her on the phone with the owner laughing and making fun of my situation, that is when I vowed I would never set foot in that store again. I am an easy going person and never complain. But I feel I have to warn others. If you buy something there, pray that it is not defective. That will bring out the worst in her! read more

For as long as I can remember, anytime that I needed something from the hardware store, I always went to ACE instead of Lowes or Home Depot FIRST. Not anymore! In fact, I will never spend another penny at ACE. Today, I was very disappointed when I went to return a few items, to be told that "THEY DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS FOR ITEMS BOUGHT PRIOR TO A HURRICANE OR TROPICAL STORM" In other words, they have no problem robbing you blind (price gouging) by charging $60.00 for a 50' extension cord, but if you want to return it - FORGET IT. After today, I would encourage anyone in need of ANY hardware item to quickly cross ACE off of your list. Go to Lowes or HD instead - they will serve you graciously, and if you need to return something - NO PROBLEM! How dare ACE take advantage of people in preparation for a hurricane! I hope they go out of business QUICK! They deserve it! read more

Stopped for a propane refill and experienced some of the worst customer service and rude behavior possible. The first person I dealt with grumbled repeatedly about refilling the tank and when done left me at the cashiers desk to pay for it. The cashier (named Ryan) that in spite of looking at me twice (standing where the first person indicated I should pay) refused to wait on me because I was on the wrong side of his counter. Nor was he polite enough to ask me to move to the other side so he could cash me out. Finally when after waiting approximately 15 minutes, more than long enough, I asked him to take me next. He stated he didn't see me, then indicated he could only take me if I was in the other line. Never mind all he needed to do was to turn in place and take my payment. Apparently there's an invisible wall that prevents him from seeing, speaking or accepting payments from that side. So I moved to the proper line and waited behind people that walked up well after I did. As I waited my turn the first person asked why I was still there. When I stated that the cashier wouldn't wait on me from the other side of the counter he stated in a smart tone that nobody can work two registers at once then walked away. The entire experience was rude and unnecessary not to mention very frustrating. ACE Hardware stores typically deliver friendly, great customer support. Apparently the people at this store in Palm Coast are doing so well they don't need to be polite to their customers. Not a problem as I'll be taking my business, propane refills and other purchases, elsewhere. There are too many places that want my money. LOWE'S and Home Depot are two examples of businesses smacking their chops for a piece of it. All this for simply asking for a propane refill. read more

Love this place. The employees are very helpful..so much nicer than the big home improvement stores. It's so much easier to shop at Ace.
