I am done with this Home Depot. I guess the 150 something billion dollars they posted in gains last fiscal year wasn't enough so they apparently need more cost cutting measures... Quite some time back they took out all the lights in the small tools section so now you cannot see anything when looking through those aisles especially at small print on sockets or drill bits etc, but whatever... Yesterday I went in to purchase a new shower head. A relatively simple task except the assortment they used to have on display is about 1/3 of what it once was and the actual inventory even less than that. The one shower head I actually liked and wanted to purchase was displayed with a QR code to purchase "ONLINE ONLY". This is not only ridiculous I mean because I intend to walk out of the store with a part in my hand, but downright stupid. If I have to purchase an item online and have it delivered I am going to use Amazon to get it cheaper and delivered faster which BTW is EXACTLY what I did. I went home, did a quick search, clicked a couple buttons and now Amazon is reaping the benefits of Home Depot not having my shower head in stock. Great business model Home Depot... read more

The Home Depot is a national brand and as far as I can remember, was the concept that phased outthe mom-and-pop local hardware store and replaced them with these monstrous monoliths of all thing home improvement. They have a staff that is professional and helpful and it is easy to get lost in these long aisles filled with everything home improvement. They also have a gardening department filled with a slew of plants and the like. All in all, this particular location of The Home Depot was able to get what I needed and get in and out in a relatively decent amount of time. The Home Depot is a good option as it pretty much has everything you could need or even imagine that someday you might need. I would definitely recommend this particular location of The Home Depot. read more

I recently moved to Palm Coast and purchased a home that was sold "as is." The home was previously rented, so there are quite a number of repairs and improvements that need to be done. I am at this Home Depot multiple times per week, and have spent thousands of dollars on everything from appliances and lights, to lawn mowers and plants. Each visit has been very smooth. Every employee I've encountered has been very friendly and helpful. The folks in the appliance department were wonderful in helping me obtain a Home Depot line of credit - 0% APR on certain purchases for six months! On a side-note, I've price-shopped many items, and the prices at Home Depot are consistently lower than at Lowes. I'll be back! read more

OK, today Home Depot earned back a stars. Two employees were outstanding! They both work in the garden section! Diana and Marius were both fantastic! Diana helped me find stuff after I've been looking for quite a while and Marius was also extremely helpful! That's why Home Depot earned back a star (coupled with the fact that no one tried to convince me to buy a water softener) I didn't go inside the main part of the store I was only in the garden center. If I get great customer service there next time inside the store, especially if it's as good inside the store as it was in the garden center then Home Depot will earn back their five stars... With the beautiful spring weather, I was searching for a screen door. Looked online and saw HD had a nice Anderson retractable one! They had 5 in stock and was able to walk in without a mask-no questions asked. I think having the freedom to choose if I want to wear a mask is important! They announced in the store that they recommend them, but you're not required. I hope these automated drowning messages about masks and vaccines end soon! Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to moving on and gaining back the human factor we all need and love! A special thanks to Jon in windows and doors. Came into the store yesterday and wasn't sure what I needed to fix some issues in the home I just purchased. A gentleman named Ben took the time to show me different tools and explained how they worked. I often use YouTube but he explained the process so well, I feel confident enough to tackle the projects on my own. All of the staff I encountered were super friendly and willing to assist me. Home Depot would not accept my VA card for a 10% discount. I was told I had to use my Home Depot app on my phone Or I.could not get a discount ( I'm a 74 year old Viet Nam Veteran). The woman was a little snotty so I asked her " listen what's the bottom line here? I'm I getting this discount or not?" Answer, not if I don't have the app. I left the cart and walked out!! I must say yes this particular one in palm-coast I really like it's well stocked at least dose items that I need and you don't see to many employees, but at least the ones you see are friendly .Something you don't see in any of the ones I go to in Miami . I went there looking for some door pads for the knobs and it took a while to find what I was looking for. I saw a few associates chatting and I asked if they could help and they said next aisle over. It still took me a good five minutes to find the exact part I needed. The price was reasonable and I did the self checkout. I may use the app next time and type in what I need I hear it shows all the details; so, I'm not walking around aimlessly in semi marked aisles. read more

I've been take aback the last few times I have been in the home Depo in Palm Coast. There are a plethora of notices at the registers telling customers how to comport themselves. I have no doubt that people can be rude but is that not a job of the store manager or the security team or even the police to shield employees? In what marketing world is it a good idea to admonish all your customers with negative signs while they are a captive audience at the register waiting to pay and take their closet hooks home. The Home Depo in St Augustine had no such signs (I was happy to see) Is this a Home Depo's Palm Coast situation? Who is coming into your store and behaving so badly you need to put up signs? Is this a safety concern? I hope you can resolve your problems and put away your very negative signage. read more

Love the store. We do a lot of business here. 2 major complaints. Home Depot Corporate is supposedly responsible for having a ridiculous amount of items placed inconveniently in the way of moving around any 8-16' boards. Multiple floor displays block every turn where lumber is and ALL Home Depot customers bottleneck to the checkout. This is soooo ridiculous . On top of that COVID requires soicially distancing- try to do that with less space to walk/move/escape. Second complaint is the amount of damaged stuff coming out of box's here is as much is 1 out of every 2 on some items like water heaters and toilets. Careless transportation and in store handling wastes time & isn't efficient. Let's make some changes. Get rid of those aluminum ended hoses that's ruining every houses hose cocks (that's my last gripe). read more

The least helpful Home Depot we've ever shopped at. Unfortunately it has a better selection overall than the nearby Lowe's or we'd be shopping there instead. Today we needed 50 pieces of sod and topsoil. The three garden center employees were too busy chatting to each other to offer anything more than an "I don't know" and "it's over that way" response. The store was out of top soil and the sod was delivered to them 7 days ago and it clearly hadn't been watered and was dead and yellow. An inquiry as to when they would get more sod was met with a shrug, an I don't know maybe Thursday and then right back to their conversation with their coworkers. The complete lack of indifference is unbelievable. Who is supervising or managing this store? read more

I went there to purchase a 2x8x8, and I needed it cut. I asked 3 different employees for someone to help cut the board. They called the lumber guy, he told them he would be there soon, he was busy. After waiting at least 20 mins I left. I went to Lowe's and I was waited on quickly and purchased a board which they cut. read more

With buying a new home my husband and I have researched and compared product prices non stop. We were drawn to Lowe's at first because I feel like they put up a good front with their looks. However Home a depot has had better prices on just about everything. We've purchased large appliances, lawn equipment and patio furniture and each time it's been better and they also seem to have much more stock than Lowe's which makes it much easier. Their electric lawn equipment works amazing too if you have a smaller lawn and don't want the mess of gas etc. We also had our appliances delivered and the gentlemen who did it were clean cut and very professional. I dread having to come to this store. It is a huge time suck - the customer service is appalling. It takes forever to find someone to mix a can of paint or answer a question. I came to place a flooring order - simple enough. As usual, the flooring desk was empty and I wandered the store looking for someone to help. I asked customer service to page someone and then waited by the desk for 45 minutes - yep, 45 minutes. I was then told that there was no one there who could actually place the order into the computer - the only person trained to do that had called in sick, so I should go away and try again on a different day. Asked to speak with a manager who says that he can place the order for me and can't image why I was told otherwise. He put the tile order into the computer and then spoke with someone on the phone to get a quote for how much it would be to have it installed. The area that I'm having tile put down is about 860 square feet. The tile that I chose was pretty cheap, so I was astounded that the total cost for the job was just under $14,000 dollars - about $9000 of that is labor cost. I looked closely at the estimate - they wanted to charge me $200 to lift the toilet and the another $250 to put it back. Fifty dollar charge just to move the refrigerator and stove out of the way... it went on and on. Definitely not going to have Lowe's put in that tile!!! read more

6/22/2020: Janine at the Palm Coast store was VERY RUDE. My mother and I kindly walked up to her to ask a question and she ignored us. I said excuse me a second time, and without even looking up from what she was doing, she says: "I can't be interrupted from what I'm doing! I'm waiting on a customer." ...all we wanted to know was if they sold coolers in their store. Luckily another employee was able to help us. My husband and I decided to quit procrastinating and paint the bathroom. Step 1 in painting the entire house! We decided to ask mike ("mikey mike" as I like to call him) a few questions. He was absolutely awesome! He gave us a quick lesson in 2 minutes. He showed us SATIN paint for a bathroom... which I'm so grateful he filled us in on because I was going with a flat! Due to moisture flat paints build mold from the steam of the shower. Ew. Paint, check. He then showed us the proper rollers for "knock down" walls. Rollers, check. He mixed up the paint, gave me a $10 rebate, two mixing sticks and a free little metal gadget to open up the paint with. Mikey mike thank you for being awesome and guiding us in the right direction! This is typically our "go-to" location for DIY and home improvement purchases, but after today's experience with their customer service desk I will strongly consider doing ALL purchasing of home improvement and goods for our business elsewhere. We presented them with a question and issue we were having (that they did NOT cause), but instead of meeting us with even an ounce of sympathy or compassion we were met with shrugged shoulders and "I don't know what to tell you" answers from not just the customer service desk associate but also "Dennis" the manager through this customer service person. When asking if they were honor a sale price that was ending today if resolution of the issue took longer than today, they gave me a flat 'nope'. Unimpressed by their attitude and lack of compassion. Even if you cannot help me, pretend like you feel bad that you cannot. read more

A year ago I purchased a very expensive lg window unit ac / heater . After 11 months it died , so being under warranty I called lg . They gave me the run around and would not cover the window unit even though it had a year warranty. The reason you may guess ??? I did not register the product online . I explained to lg I had my reciept from Home Depot that shows it was still under warranty, however they insisted they would not cover it. I called Home Depot pretty upset that my warranty was not covered by manufacturer and requested to speak to a manager. I was transferred to Ashley . I explained my situation with Ashley and she put me on a brief hold to see if she had the same model in stock . When she came to phone she told me to bring in my broken unit and she would exchange no problem ! Great customer service ! read more

This is one of the few places that you can rent equipment for home use. They have a great selection and I needed a pressure washer rotating brush for driveways. They had a nice one that worked perfect. I have since bought my own which surprisingly they did not sell. They have plenty of other items that you can rent when you only need to use it once. I have never been in much further so can not comment on customer service but the rental area was nice. read more

Went to get 1/2" sheet of plywood and have it ripped in half. Picked out a sanded piece for $35. Saw the sign "Cutting Center" in the back so I hauled the sheet back there only to be greeted by the man working at the saw, "Something you want?", I'm standing there holding a sheet of plywood under the sign "Cutting Center"... I tell him I need this ripped in half and he proceeds to blast me... Hah, not here you ain't... and flicks his head at this huge saw... clearly puzzled by this he said "what you think I'm gonna use this type of saw to cut that?" Excuse me it says "cutting center".... I went to Home Depot around 6pm today to have 2 keys made and look around because I am remodeling my home. I waited near the key machine for assistance. There were 2 employees helping 1 man with a question on tool prices. One of them could have at least acknowledged that someone will be with you momentarily. They didn't, both of them actually walked off as if I wasn't standing there. I went to the front and stood in customer service line and waited my turn. I asked an older women can she call someone for assistance. She said she would do so. I went back and waited again. One of the earlier associates came back and another lady was in the same area and asked for help. He told her he would be with her. When he begin to help the other lady, I said " sir I was here first". He states " you were weren't you?" I said yes, I need 2 keys made please. He then states this is not his department, he just happened to know about tools" . He says I'll call for assistance. I waited again. Not one person showed up to help. As I was walking out, the older lady that said she would call for assistance states "he's over there and told the associate I had on a blue shirt. I stood by the key machine again. An older guy approached he didn't say sorry for your wait or how can I help? He said "so what we got?" By this time I'm so displeased by the service I told him "that's okay & I didn't want to purchase the keys anymore. He said "so what's the problem" I said I've been waiting for a very long time & I didn't want the keys anymore. He says "I just received the call." I said "no thank you". He turns his back, walks away & with much sarcasm & attitude, says "have a nice day". I said "you do the same" and left the store. I am remodeling both bathrooms, putting wood flooring in 2 bedrooms, new sliding glass doors and painting. Hes a great guy and employee. I find your employees all knowledge, professionalism and very pleasant to deal with. I would also like to mention Dianna at Customer service, excellent and Jill. 12/12/16 i came back and dealt with Mary and Diana in Garden. Also, Assistant Manager., Christopher was extremely wonderful and professional. I was missing rigid drill and paid for it last night. He spoke with Caleb and he is in Customer service. He actually found the drill under the front customer desk register where i paid for it. Caleb too was extremely professional and pleasant. I am so happy they found my drill. James, i believe works in tile. He is unbelievably helpful. Great guy, great guy and customer service. And finally, George in Garden 12/11/16 was very helful and loaded the cart. He offered to load my car. I say no thank you. Dianna is a sweet person in Customer service. I believe that employees that do a good service should also hear the good work that they do. Do not order anything on-line and arrange for pick-up at this store. They do not know what they are doing or maybe they just don't care. I placed an on-line order on January 14. They received the order on Tuesday January 19. I expected an email notification for pick-up at some point. When I didn't get an email by Friday I decided to call the store on Saturday morning . I called the store on Saturday morning and they said they would bring it up to the front of the store right away. I went to store to visit the one register/associate assigned for on-line orders. He pulled up the order and called various people to find out where my order was. ( remember it was supposed to be brought up front several hours ago) After 45 minutes some one pushed the item on a cart and said "here you go". I asked for help loading it into my truck, no one showed up. My wife and I attempted to load our order that weighed 182 lbs into my truck. Never again. read more

I purchased some cut-to-fit shades but they were cut incorrectly. 5 windows are the same size, measurements were provided for the 5 windows but only 2 of the 5 shades fit. I was not allowed to return them so I get to eat the cost. Went to Lowe's, was easier to find help, got what I needed (cut CORRECTLY) so I will just make the rest of my major purchases for my new house there instead. read more
